Happy Friday, All. Sorry i didnt post yesterday. Woke up late and it was down hill from there.

Today's workout was Intensity Premix Low Hiit/Bootcamp because I have an 8 miler planned for tomorrow. PRAY for me. lol Actually, I'm so looking forward to a nice, easy run. It will be early and outside in my hillly neighborhood, so I will walk up the hills.

This past week I learned to be very careful when I don't get enough sleep cause that is the first step to overeating for me.
 
Hi Shereta - sorry to hear about your bad day yesterday. I hope today & this week is better for you. And have a great run tomorrow! Can't wait to hear how it went and how you felt afterwards.

I know exactly what you mean about over-eating when tired. Its so hard to keep up the self-discipline when tired, and then we get the signals our body is sending us confused - our body is trying to tell us to go to bed, and we think we're hearing "EAT MORE FOOD!!"

I didn't weigh in today because I have my period, and you know, when I'm already feeling crappy I don't feel like making that worse by weighing myself. My weight always goes up when I have my period. So next week I'll weigh in.

This morning was STS disk 26. Gettin' it done!
 
Morning ladies! Yesterday I skipped my workout again so 2 rest days this week. Also made banana bread & ate a bunch of it, but calories were neither up nor down. I'm going to weigh in tomorrow, I don't have a good feeling about it even though I had some good calorie deficits this week. I might have to institute a "no white stuff" policy for August. I'll (hopefully) be running 15 minutes tonight, might adjust my route to make it a little easier.

Gina - Congrats on the weights, time flies so you'll be working chest & back again before you know it ;) I vote for duct tape on your vest, they sell it in fun colors now so you could make a fashion statement out of it.

Tina - awesome to take charge of what we can and let everything else play out as it will. Take deep breaths :)

Shereta - I'm praying for you!!! Good luck on your run ;) I heard a Jillian Michaels podcast recently she said if it's a choice between working out & sleeping she chooses sleeping.

Anyone watching the Olympics?

Gonnabea5 how long is that premix? I may do that ome sometime.
So far today I dis SJP with hi/ lo premix. I only did 30 because during second section of hi/ lo my foot was hurting again. (I have PF) I may try to do stepblast tonight .. I was jogging 4 miles before the pF and had to stop. Man I miss my running so much. I think its best I keep doing step til I get this weight off. Hopfully I can pick up jogging again. Yesterday I did. KCM Muscle definition wo. Before that on weed I did TTM I love that one.

Well I ate oatmeal this morn then had a protein shake with strawberries and peanut butter in it. Yumm. Ill catch up again later after step blast.
 
Whoops, I posted under last weeks thread by mistake. Didn't end up doing Turbo Barre this morning. KPC and In the Ring premix of all the combos and ball work. I'm seriously addicted to ITR. I find Amy's choreo to be hard to master, but once you get it, it just flows.

My goal was to clean the fridge and pantry, but only managed the fridge. It was serioulsy becoming a health code violation. I pulled all the shelves, removed the mushy stuff out of the rotter (produce bin) and threw away almost empty condements and wine bottles. It looks brand new again. Refilled it with lots of fresh produce and greek yogurt, this week looks good for nutrition.

Weather looks iffy this weekend, so I'm not sure about getting in my cycling miles. Withdrawl symptoms should be starting soon. It may be a good weekend to break out the Terminator workouts, I'm sure it's covered in dust.

Good Saturday morning! I finally did Plyo STS Disk 26 today. I've been putting it off since Wednesday. Sounds like we're on the same page Gina!

Man that workout is tough, but I stuck it out all the way through. I can't believe I only burned 330 calories!!!!

Yesterday I was so tired, but managed to keep myself from over-eating. When I was feeling the urge to splurge, I decided to take a nap for 30 minutes, and that seemed to help me regain my balance. Hopefully today will be a better day and I won't feel so tired.
 
Happy Saturday, Yall. Yesterday pm, I went to an unexpected get-together and ended up playing an hour of tennis. So much fun! so not the right thing to do the night before an 8 miler. I didnt care though. Was having so much fun and just knew the run would be ugly. But, that's life.

My eight miler was good until mile 6. It got pretty ragedy after that. I did some sports gels and water throughout, but still ended up run/walking the last mile. I'm so proud that I stuck it. My research says on long runs, walk if you have to, just finish it and keep it nice and easy, so I did walk up a few hills when I felt my heart rate get too high.

Tomorrow will be weights. Busy day. Will check in later.
 
Back to plain greek yogurt and old fashioned oat meal for breakfast. It really does kick the day off right. Two kickboxing workouts this morning and STS abs. Hopefully the weather will hold tomorrow and we can get a nice long bike ride in. This is the longest I've been off the bike this summer and I'm feeling withdrawls. Monday starts STS Meso 3, looking forward to that as well.

great job everyone getting those workouts in. I weighed in this morning and I'm up a couple of pounds - bummed me out a little but I've decided to grin & bear it. I'm still w/in my 5lb swing though so that's a plus. ran 15 minutes last night, very challenging then did STS total body today. I don't have a barbell so modified w dumbbells. my plan is no sugar in August. I'll allow fruits, but no food w sugar added. after I'm done w the walk/run I'm going to start Cathe's fat loss rotation (from jan '11 I think). grocery shopping later, going to buy clean :). keep having a great weekend ladies!
 
No workout today. So tomorrow will be weights. Way too much popcorn today. My weight will be up tomorrow for sure. oh well, I should still make my weight goal of 10lbs before 8/17
 
I have not lost anything at all yet again. I have doen more exercise this past three weeks and not one once gone. I have also been eating better. I thought i was down a pound last week but i get on today and it is right back where it was, So MAD
I did 33 minutes on cycle max and IMAX2 int 1-5. Yesterday I ran 33 minutes and did ME timesaver premix.
 
Waited all day for the weather to break and finally was able to get out for a 35 mile ride. I was desperate for any amount of miles today.

Tomorrow starts Meso 3. I remember from the last M3 round that about the second week my appetite spun out of control. I've heard other people mention the same phenomenom. Not sure what would be the right food to keep that at bay. Maybe add extra lean protein? I try not to drink protein powder too often, but maybe this would be an option. Any suggestions? I lost two pounds this week, and I'm guessing it's from not lifting for seven days. I would like to try and keep it off.
 
Happy Monday, Ladies. Today's workout was High Reps. Love this one so much. But, I can tell I've lost some strength from more running and less weights. So, I will work hard to get High Reps and STS Total Body in at least once a week. I love keepin up with pushups. I'll get it back soon.

For those struggling with weight loss, I recommend doing everything we already know works and being consistant with it. Like eating lean protein, fruits, veggies, and whole grains, getting plenty of water, fiber and rest. Also staying away from huge meals. Eating 4-6 mini meals a day is good.

Can anyone else and other ideas? Remember I don't count calories anymore. I eat good food most of the time and keep the extra sugar and bad carbs at bay. That has really helped me slim my core area. Also I dont eat late at night unless my food intake has been very low all day. but if I do eat late, its yogurt, a few peanuts or a low calorie bar.

Lets never give up, Ladies. We have to keep looking for solutions that work for us individually.

Yesterday I ran 9.5 miles - my longest run to date! I had no problems with chafing/heat so it made for a great run. HOWEVER, this morning my quads are really sore. So instead of doing my scheduled workout, I did a warm up followed by stretch max and a bath in epsom salts. It felt great, but I'm still sore.

Tina - you are a road warrior! I love how you get withdrawal symptoms when you can't ride! I'm starting week two of Meso 3 this week. I can't remember what happenend to my appetite the last time I did Meso 3. I haven't been drinking protein shakes either. I'm just upping my protein with eggs, chicken breast, greek yoghurt, cottage cheese. I make sure that I have a couple of hard-boiled eggs in the fridge so that I can easily eat one after an STS workout.

Shereta - I think you're totally right about what to do for weightloss. There are no magic tricks - we just have to be consistent with eating a good diet, drinking lots of water. I find that limiting refined carbs is really key for me to lose weight. Plus upping the veggies. I'm trying to also focus on nutrient rich veggies like spinach, sweet potatoes (instead of white potatoes).

Sue - I understand how you feel about the weight increase. I'm a little discouraged because this morning I was up a pound and yesterday I burned 1100 calories on my run, but it is what it is. I still have my period, although its almost finished, so maybe that's why.

Renee - just keep on trying to analyze your diet and figure out why you're not losing weight. Have you tried writing in a daily food journal? That will help you to figure out what you need to change.

Hi, Amelia and welcome.

I'm normally pretty busy so forgive me now for not doing too many personals. I'm 46, secretary at a high school. 3 grown children and 1 very wonderful hubby. I have 50 lbs to loose and I'm working hard to loose it all by the end of the year. hince, the thread title. I workout 5-6 times a week and am training for a half trail marathon in sept.

If you're serious about weightloss, this is the place for you.
 
Yesterday I ran 18 minutes straight, also did a stretch max. Muscles still sore today, I'm still sore so I might delay today's run (20 min) and do yoga relax instead. I had a little too much ice cream yesterday in anticipation of my sugar-free August. I'm such a child :)

Shereta - I can't believe you like pushups! I do the girl type & they're still super challenging.

Renee - Dont' be mad! Remember that muscle weighs more than fat and women's weight fluctuate throughout the month based on hormones. Keep eating healthy and working out & the results will follow, it just might be slow :)

Tina - When hunger gets out of control, protein & fat give you longer satiety. Fiber fills you up.

Melanie - Congrats on your long run, glad you're more comfortable than last time. What do the epsom salts do for sore muscles?

Amelia - Welcome! I'm 43 yo, want to lose 25-30 lbs. Since finding that your waist measurement should be less than half of your height I really want to lose 2 inches from my waist.

Hi Sue - that's so funny about the icecream!! That is totally something I would do.

Also, epsom salts get absorbed into our muscles and act as an anti-inflammatory. Plus the salt makes you sort of float in the bathtub so its pretty relaxing.

Also yes I wrotit down I used mfp it made me gain! Not the site itself but I became obssessed with it I would see I had calories let and end up eating them at night and I ate to much I think. I had lost 6 pounds before mfp by exercise and eating only when hungry. I know confusi g.
And to the one who said don't give up well I'm not. I dk get mad but I wont giv up. Today is a rest day for me. My PF is killing me so Im glad I have a rest day.
