Weight Watchers.....Wednesday!

Good Morning Amy and Gang:)

Hmmm....Waffle House:9 Never had it but Im sure I could do some damage there!:) Have a good breakfast! Ill just stick to my All bran cereal for the 13th week now;( helps keep me regular though:)

Yesterday was a pretty good day but I was so tired that there were a few times I could have cried if i were pushed to much further. And I don't know why, but I run to the grocery store every Tues after baby group and there are old people everywhere! And lately the produce at the grocery store sucks so maybe I will start going to the other grocery store but that one is just a old peoples haven;( *uck it! Im not going grocery shopping anymore:)

Got my workout in yesterday but I didn't get biceps finished before the baby started crying.I got the best part of it finished though.
Today I am gonna try to do cardio in the a.m and a leg workout this afternoon. Im not going anywhere today b/c I will be on the go tomorrow.
I had a good sleep last night and the baby didn't wake until 5. He was still some what asleep but he pooped so I had to change him.I got up at 7:30 when he fed last b/c DD was getting a shower and she needed me to do her hair but when I looked she got a bath and decided NOT to wash her hair.Whats up with kids not wanting to be clean? SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOo...the baby is still asleep and I would be to if I didn't think someone needed their hair done.

Lori, glad the baby slept a little... the bath phase will PASS, my daughter can now spend 2 hours in the bathroom at a time - I'm not kidding - so I wouldn't worry too much if I were you :7 I hope you get a nice workout today.

Traci, the pancake sounds YUMMY. Yayy for a nice UB workout.

I'm doing GS Chest and Tri's this morning, plus the 30 min step workout in CTX. Yayy!

Amy-My favorite thing at waffle house has got to be the grilled chicken sandwich with smothered,covered and chunked hash browns! I do get the texas chopped steak sandwich sometimes! Enjoy your breakfast!

Traci-I had a pancake w/s.f syrup yesturday,aren't they Yummy!I would love to get those pancakes I see on the I-hop commercial...mmmmmm....they look yummy too! Enjoy your day!

Lori-Im still getting to know everybody on this thread and had no Idea you had a DD,How old is she! My son is will be two in may and DD turned five last dec! Im glad you got some sleep last night!And I can simpithize with the grocery shopping experience! I'm always ready to strangle somebody when I get my groceries at walmart,but they are the cheapest!

Cherl-Great workout planned,have a good one!

Well gang,I pulled a muscle somewhere in the front of my thigh! I was doing body fusion, at the part where we do the static lunges and boom!,a sharp pain shot up my thigh,still finished the cardio but no more lunges!sucksx( ! I really need to start doing a stretch workout twice a week or atleast once! I do stretch a little after each workout(w/cathe) guess its not enough!

Good Morning,

First let me say, last night, I decided to do PlyoX (that was fun) and not add on DM b/c I wanted to be out doors for the last day of warm weather So, after I finished Plyo, out I went, I walked 45 minutes down and 45 minutes back up, and it felted so good, I really enjoyed it.

Returning home, I decided to check my mailbox, but, before checking my mail, I wanted to check my face, just making sure I look okay, didn't want to run into anyone, so in my apartment I went check my face ran bath water. Then down the stairs I go and down the stairs I went I fell down the stairs all eight of them I could not believe it, landed on my knees and hurt my right shoulder I was in tears

At first, I thought I had broken my right knee After work, going to see doctor maybe x-rays just making sure nothing is broken, which I doubt, If it was, I wouldn't be able to walk.

When, I got out of bed this morning I could barely apply pressure on it. I took 2 pain pills, and laid back down I called my boss told him what had happen, and I'd be a little late.

My right knee feels a little better not much I’m still limping, my right shoulder is sore. I’ll let you guys know what my doctor say. This sucks

Teddygirl-Im so sorry you hurt yourself! Falling down the stairs is scary! I would be in tears too! wish you luck with the doc appt. And take care of yourself!

Belinda-yes,I have thought about yoga,I've never tried it though! Would you suggest some good one!
 
Teddygirl! Thats awful! I hope you aren't in pain for to long and your workouts don't suffer to much. Take it easy, are you still going to the Dr?

Amelia,my DD is 11! I know its crazy that I started all over but I had her when I was young and I didn't have a choice but to have them far apart.

Cheryl, sounds like you got a good workout planned for tpday. How was your first day at work?

Traci, I love PANCAKES! Well...I love anything with sugar in it so pancakes and syrup are a friend of mine:) Even the sugar free kind. I use to make pancakes using the BFL book, i should get that out and make some.

Belinda, I did chest and triceps on Mon and I am still sore! My triceps needed it though.

I think I am done my workout. I did a 4 mile run and HSC, it took me a little over 90 mins but I had to make lunch in between so I kept running back and forth to the kitchen to check on stuff.

Cheryl: Workout sounds awesome as usual... Feeling energetic this week?

Amelia: ;( So very sorry about the quad!!! They take such a beating and if we dont work hard at Stretching, Yoga, Pilates we can really have set backs! Do you have Total Body Stretch or StretchMax? I highly suggest doing 2 segments (30 min) 2x a week. If time becomes a factor it is really better to cut a cardio w/o short one day and add on the stretch. It helps you perform better, look better and keeps you from being taken out of the game due to injuries & muscle fatigue. I am a non yoga lover BUT I still do it as its very good for the body...especially as it ages!:p There are several by Ellen barrett that are very good and basic... also The MTV Pilates Mix is a fabulous blend of yoga/pilates and is chaptered quite nicely & has a mix n match feature.

Belinda: Sounds like a heavy duty day for you! Have a great time!!

Lori: Dont ya LOVE the BFL Cookbook? I think its just awesome- I use it all the time faithfully.GREAT job getting that long workout in!

Amy: Is your tummy happy??? I miss ya- feel like we havent chatted in ages!

Hi, everyone! Workout went great. I feel good.
I think the 2 lbs up may be PMS... boobs were a little tender this morning.

Teddygirl, I am so sorry about your spill down the stairs!!! I feel so bad for you.

Amelia, be careful with that pulled muscle! Wow, bad news all over this morning. Yes, stretching would definitely be good.

First days of work have been wonderful! I love what we do.

Cheryl-Im glad you had a good workout! Im up about two pounds,PMS too,just started today! Thats probably why I was so sad and ill sunday! Oh well todays another day,right! And you have a good one:)!ETA-Im so glad your first days at work are going well for you,congrats agian!

Traci-I will take your advice and start adding two seg. of Total Body stretch twice a week! My thigh muscle feels alot better now but this morning not so much! I will go look for your suggested yoga workouts too,maybe I can rent them first!Good day to ya!


Questions:
When I read that someone is doing a chest,or back or a particular group of muscles are you guys following a cathe dvd(or other)or going solo?

I've got...Basic step/body fusion,low impact step/total body scultping,total body stretch and kick punch crunch(thinking about selling,too advanced for me)I love working out with my tubing and dumbells,Is there another Cathe workout(involving the dumbells and tubing)that is beginner/inter?

Cheryl: Good luck with PMS.... you dont eat enough for wt to be food! Great Workout girl!

Amelia: just thoughts... Hang onto KPC- the premixes are worth the price of DVD + some! Their are KPC/ Legs & Glute mixes that are really great. Also there are quite a few of the premixes that are 30-40 minute range. I couldnt do all of it for a year as produced - Just modify your intensity and focus on power punches & kicks vs all the jumping around. On The weight workouts. With exception of SH I think you could do ANY and ALL of Cathes weight work just by using a weight thats comfy for you. I have NEVER used a Barbell heavier than 17#s- I dont find it healthy for my neck... I also dont lift any dumbell heavier than 15's and usually with cathes stuff I use much lower because of her reps being so high. Gym Styles are priceless and use bands as well. I love Pure Strength too. Muscle Endurance is terrific as is Muscle Max (the full body ones are chaptered so you can do individual body parts. SuperSets is also a good one with ZILLIONS of premixes for less time & intensity.
Hope I didnt just overload you!!! Just remember that all weight work is about using your personal choice of poundage NOT about lifting as heavy as Cathe. Remember that she does this for a living! We are not in any way wimps if we dont lift as heavy!!! I never will and I am pretty strong and have some muscles that pop. ;)

This is only day one, and I’m already feeling left out (((((NO workout)))) how am I going to do this. I know its going to be at least 3 or 4 days before I can w/o, unless doc give me miracle pills or ointment. I’m going too make it through this:)

Tracie: Should I open my GS cookies and sit in the corner and just sing GS tunes as I eat my chocolate All About cookies. Um… don’t think so, that's dangerous. Our office will be closed Good Friday, Yeah:7 having a nice long 3 day weekend, that'll be nice.

Easter dinner is going to be at my sister home, this time I’m only cooking string beans that's easy and making corn bread that’s it. Not going to do all that cooking again.

I’ll be leaving in a few minutes going to see doctor I hope he's handsome :p Have a great day:)

Hey Gang!!

Well, I woke up from my nap this afternoon with a couple of self realizations....

SR #1- It felt really good to get to working out again on Monday!
SR #2- Legs DOMS, although, nice, make working a 12 hr shift as a nurse a bit on the difficult side (not to mention the funny looks you receive when you can't walk right!!!}( )
SR#3- Cardio Kicks MAY not be the best choice of a workout the day AFTER GS legs when the only thing NOT screaming in pain is your feet!!!
SR#4- Continued leg DOMS AND upper back DOMS makes for an unscheduled rest day!!!


Teddygirl- I am so sorry about the fall. I really hope that nothing is seriously hurt!!! Don't worry about not working out, you'll get back into it and better than ever!!!

Amelia- Sorry about the quad pull! This goes for both of you on the "injured reserve" list....lots of rest, ice, and anti-inflammatories (motrin or naprosyn)

Well, my tummy was happy this morning. I debated on getting something bad, but decided against it because nothing appealed to me, so I went with my standard.....grilled chicken breast and a side of steamed hashbrowns (they will do that for you Amelia....tastes like a baked potato!).

Well, it's 8 hrs later and the tummy isn't happy anymore! I am in search of some nibblies.....Traci, your pancakes sound wonderful! I will have to try them soon!:p

My boss came to me this morning and asked if there were other days that I'd like to switch around, so I may be changing up a bit in the next few weeks. I really don't care when I work as long as they pay me my normal pay, right???:7
 
Guess What??? I just got a call from work asking me to come in tonight! I was told to my face this morning that I wasn't needed, so, obviously, I didn't sleep a lot today.

I came home after breakfast and starting a little Cathe database. I realized that I didn't have a breakdown of what exercises were on what workout so that if I wanted to mish-mosh my own, say, Chest/Tri workout, I could. After going through about 5-6 DVD's, I gave up and took a nap!
 
Hi ladies,

This morning I did GS Chest and Triceps! No Cardio Bonus! I ran out of time! Went with a friend shopping instead! I have to make up for it on Thursday!

Belinda, yep, I subbed 30 min. All Step for the cardio bonus. It was fun - total workout 75 min, which was nice.

Amy, wow, on the work schedule! Guess they don't know which end is up some of these days. Hope you got at least a little bit of a nap.

I am feeling ready for bedtime myself. I must be getting old!

Traci-You talked me into it...ill keep KPC,I've been tring to tackle body fusion and low impact step,I haven't really given it a chance! I need to start working on it,and getting familar with the moves!And thanks for all the suggestions...your the best!

Amy-thanks for your advice with the ice packs and motrin!It feels alot better! I do hope you managed a nap today,wow your like the energizer bunny...you keep going and going and going:p:7!

well thanks everybody for the concerns,my pulled muscle is almost gone!Still not sure what workout to do tommorrow,I don't want to aggervate(sp)it!
