Good Morning:)

How is everyone? It doesn't look like the weather is going to be that great again today. Aug month as sucked BIG TIME!
I have a run planned for today if the weather premits me to do so. I would also like to do leg work b/c I am going to my parents house again today and the easy thing to do out there is cardio. I am sore from yesterdays workout as well...feels good}(
I will be around for a little while so I will check back:)
Lori:)

Morning girls,

MMMMMMMMMMM......Coffee! :9

Lori-I agree,Aug wheather has sucked big time, its been so miserable here with the one hundred degree temps and my car picks a great time for the air cond to go out!x( funny how it works.I too am soar today, feels like I accomplished something yesterday!

I've got bm2 cardio only on tabs for today:+ i need all that cardio to make up for my terrible cheat last nightx(.I had a BAD day yesterday so I needed some "healing food" aka choc icecream,LOL

Oh well,todays another day right!

Morning!
Amelia I'm sorry for your bad day yesterday, but today is another day. in a way I think that we (Cathepeeps) can handle pressure differently because we w/o. Lainie HST did you like it? One of those High Step DVd is too easily for me..I think that it is high step circuit. I've never done HSC (challenge)is it hard?

WOW Lori you did two premixes with weight training? I would have DOMS for a week

Belinda I like to do power yoga on my light day.

Yesterday at work all heck broke lose. The feds came in a gave out letters to all the people they caught collecting Metro Card (this is money/checks that are given out to the people who take bus or trains to get to work). Well some people drive to work and illegally pick up their metro checks too. Well they were busted yesterday...not really arrested butjust dropped from the program. The feds even dropped a lady who takes the bus to work but gets a lift from a co-worker when they are going home. She was sooooo MAD .x( x(

Even some of the supervisors were busted....now that just goes to show ya the type of job I have.

Today rest day for me no w/o. I plan to eat clean and not skip a snack.

Chat later

Robin-   ,just goes to show ya...what goes around comes around! Im suprised nobody lost thier job! And thanks for your concern yesterday,I did set up a meeting with my DD's teacher. She also apoligized for not comenting on the letter(said she was very busy) and was extremely nice about it! Im sure it will all be alright! The good news is my DH had a talk with DD last night and she didn't cry this am:7 .

I just ate my breakfast, eggs and grits:9 and Im waiting for it to digest before battling bm2. Not a clean breakfast but it was only four pts!;-)

Good morning everyone.

Well, I've enjoyed the weather lately because it's been cooler (though sometimes rainy like this morning). We don't have a/c in our house so I've been miserable in the heat all summer--esp. when working out. Yesterday I did High Step Training and the sweat was all from effort, for once.

Robin, I liked HST--it was pretty tough for me but I survived it. You should have seen me trying to do this shuffly thing on the step. I am pretty uncoordinated, but at least I didn't fall down. HSCircuit is definitely the easy one, but I haven't done that one in ages. I think I like HSChallenge the best--it has better music than HST and it has a specific core section before the stretch. HST didn't have a core section, though she did mention that we were working our core in some other exercises--like a shoulder one where you were in a position kind of like a side plank leaning on the step. I prefer a regular core section, and would have added one yesterday but it got too late--had to get up and make dinner.

Today it's going to be some kind of step aerobics. I think I might give Amy Bento's Advanced Step Challenge a try--I've owned it a while but haven't attempted it yet.

Amelia, sucks that your car a/c went out. My car is the nicest place for me to be on hot days. I don't know why I haven't spent more of the summer going on driving trips--oh yeah, that would be because of the cost of gas. Speaking of broken things, my DH woke me this morning before he left town, and mentioned that the coffeemaker is broken. Ack! I can't do without coffee. I'll have to make a special trip out to look for a new one or something.

Speaking of coffee, I'm going to go examine the machine and see if I can get it to work. If not, I'll have to make myself some tea or something....

Amelia, well, your weather and my weather is totally different! Im complaining cause it hasn't been warm enough. Im going to pack for my moms house shortly and I will be packing capris and pants...no shorts! Aug use to be our best month but now July is. Hope you having fun with BM2. Have you tried any of the premixes yet?

Robin, I guess their were alot of rotted people in your office! LOL Not a great working enviroment right now with all the anger folks around. But for some reason people like that always feel like they have been done wrong when really they are the ones who did wrong!

Laine, HST is one of my fav's as well. I love circuit workouts but I am a cardio junkie so I tend to go for long runs or just cardio. Its inplanted in my brain that I need alot of cardio to keep pounds away!:+

I ended up doing LM and the standing leg work from PLB. Now its time to get a shower and start packing again}( Ive packed so much lately that its not even mind boggling anymore, I know exactly what I need!:)
Lori:)

Good morning, everyone! Don't have a lot of time this morning--I need to finish up breakfast pronto so I can do PUB and take a quick shower. I have to be at work by 8:30 sharp today!!

Tonight will be tough--we are doing hill repeats. First run 2 miles to the hill, then run up and down a steep hill 3-4 times, then run 2 miles back. Aye caramba! Let's just say I'll be earning some AP ;).

Thanks for all the welcomes and hellos, everyone :). It looks like it's a whole new crowd since I was last here! Some info on me: I'm 31 (3 months away from 32, to be precise ;)), single, and do marketing for a Silicon Valley company. Yup, I'm an internet geek!

Belinda: might I assume from your name that you are indeed from Bayern? Ach, sehr schöne! :) Ich spreche ein bißchen Deutsch, aber ich mache immer viele Fehler, also es tut mir sehr leid!

Hi everyone!

65 min workout for me - 45 min. MIC step portion plus short spinning bike add-on plus B&G stab ball bonus sections (both) for 20 min. Would have liked to do 10 spinning bike intervals of HIIT, but didn't have it in me. Will have to put that first next time. Kicked my butt!

Have been eating crystal clean and have dropped 3.8 lbs since last week. It's easier when some of it is fluid retention from vacation, etc. (yech)

Have a great morning, everyone!

Cheryl

Hey girls,

Im done with my workout,I got through all the combo's and (cardio only)powercircuit's one and two! Next time I'll go for powerc's 1,2and 3! Maybe one day I'll be able to completet the whole workout!

Lorie-I haven't tried any of the premixes yet,Im still trying to learn the choreograph(sp). Im kinda scared to try them after hearing "scramble eggs" Yikes! Have a safe trip!

Lainie-I've barely got air in my house! got three window units One of which is fixin to die,LOL! Did ya get your coffee maker working? I remember when mine broke, that was a bad day.Think I got this one at walmart and its lasted a long time ( it will probably break tommorrow now;-))!

Well, I go to weigh in tomorrow at WW, so I think after that I will run to a mall that is nearby and look at coffeemakers (and will probably grab some coffee at Starbucks while I'm there). I've got some ideas what I like. I thought about ordering online since I can see the reviews there, but don't want to wait for the shipping.

I attempted Advanced Step Challenge today, but didn't get far. I did the preview section (where she explains some of the more complext moves) then did the warm up and part of the first step combo. I found it a bit confusing (and I'm just not in the mood to rewind a lot today) so I stopped it and put in Rhythmic Step. I've only really mastered the first combo so far on RS, but I'm getting more comfy with the second combo. Today I tried the third combo for the first time and I think I'll get it after a couple more tries. I went all the way to 2/3 of the RS Challenge until I fell off the step and twisted my ankle. Enough of that. I managed to get up and skipped ahead to do the cooldown. I think the ankle will be fine though it hurt at first. I still love Rhythmic Step!

Robin, as for Amy Bento's ASC, I will probably try it the way I first started RS. Just do one combo at a time after my regular workout and ease into learning it. I think she's good with cueing, but my problem is I'm used to what Cathe calls things--I don't do much step with anyone else so I have trouble following anyone else. I do like Amy's Kickbox Xtreme so I want to like her other stuff. I did her Cardio Pump Step and was able to follow that step routine fine.

Amelia, I have on my schedule to do all of BM 2 on Friday this week. I have yet to try the whole thing, so we'll see if I can even do it. I do love the first step part and the upper body part, but haven't done the middle power circuits yet.

Wow, great job on the weight loss, Cheryl--I hope I can lose some more before an event I have in early October.

Belinda, I had been meaning to ask you about the Bayern thing as well--that's what we call Bavaria in English, right? I couldn't ask you anything in German, though.

OK, gotta go wake up the little guy and start some dinner.

Amelia: I don't work from home--I don't think I'd ever get any work done if I did LOL!

Wow, that's the most I've spoken in German for a while LOL. My family and I went back to Europe for a two week vacation this past April, and I managed to make myself understood when I used it. I've found that Germans are very kind when you attempt German, even if you make mistakes ;). Ironically the best experience I had in understanding and being understood was in Italy--in the German-speaking part of Italy. I managed to order lunch without mangling anything :).
