Good Morning:)

I think since Belinda has been getting us started lately we have been depending on her to do so:) I was just sitting here...waiting...for someone to start the thread. I figured as soon as I posted something someone else would have done it...and may be you are right now????? :p :+

I have a run planned today, outside. And this afternoon we are getting our pics taken:) Should be interesting.

Ill be back later!!!
Lori:)

Good Morning ladies!

Lori-Enjoy your run today! Ya know, that reminds me-We need to take some family pictures,I haven't taken any (professional)pics since I've lost alot of my wieght! What kind of pics are your family taking? Holiday,Fall?

Hey to the rest of the gang!

Im kinda feeling bad right now;(DH suprised me with a b-day dinner date last evening(ditched my class last night)we went to my favorite Italian restaurant and we drank wine!I had a good time but Totally blew my diet yesterday:-( Will this MADNESS every end! I don't like this time of year:-( I want to get this last bit(35-40pds) of weight off and feel like everything is working agianst me! I have a wedding saturday, two t-day dinners next week and who knows what is planned for christmas:-(. Im just feeling like it will be a challenge for me-I DON'T want to gain any of my weight back that I worked my tale off to lose:-( Ok,I'll stop whinning...I just feel bad right now.Sorry-just had to get it out!;( ;(

The rotation calls for a 20min jog(which I will try this eveing) but will probably do what I did tuesday(20walk with ankle weights and 20walk/jog)

Oh Amelia! I feel for you! I hate it to when a bunch of things come my way but thankfully lately it hasn't been to bad. I have my weight gone but I don't want to gain any back either. Is there any way you can get out of one of the dinners??? As for you b-day...I wouldn't worry about it to much. It was your b-day and Lord knows...I ate enough cake for the whole yr! Im not sure what pics we are getting done. Maybe just something with a black background? If we get them on disc I should be able to upload them on my picture trail later, maybe?

Well, its 9:25 here, I think I will wait another 30 mins before we head out. I didn't realize it was so windy out!

Lori:)

I'm going to do the strength training part of Tracey Staehle's High Intensity Kickbox Challenge today--may have to modify the lower body section for my ankle, but I'll wait and see. It's not one I've done before. I'll also be doing the exercises my physical therapist gave me. No cardio, though. I've been sending links to stationary bikes to my DH again to see if we can buy one soon.

Yesterday I stuck with the WW Core plan all day until dinner--when Ewan had a fever and wouldn't stop crying. I didn't make what I had planned but ate what I was feeding the boys--bacon and banana muffins. I was going to also make them eggs and extra veggies, and I would eat eggs & veggies, but with the screaming toddler I ended up just going with what I'd already put in the oven (bacon & muffins). At least Ewan seems to feel better today--we're just spending a quiet day at home to make sure he's o.k. It's a gray, rainy day, so a good day to stay indoors.

Oh wait, I don't think I talked about how the physical therapy went yesterday. He told me not to do the jogging, kickboxing, or step aerobics, but I could do a bike or elliptical. Unfortunately I don't currently have access to a bike or elliptical (that's why i mentioned wanting a stationary bike). I have to go in twice a week for 4 weeks and do a daily list of ankle-strengthening exercises.

Lori, hope you have a good run--I wish I could run, too!

Amelia, don't beat yourself up about the birthday dinner! It was your birthday after all--it's a day to indulge yourself. I know it will be tough with all the other events coming up--it's always hard eating right this time of year! I don't even know yet if we're spending T-giving here or driving to my brother's house in Virginia. Just be careful not to get so discouraged that you give up on yourself. I know the big danger with weight loss is sometimes just thinking, "well, I've blown it; might as well give up until next week" or "until the New Year," or "until spring" or whatever. I've been guilty of that kind of thinking myself!

Greetings to all who follow. I gotta go get some stuff done around the house while I have the time.

Can everyone say HAPPY FRIGGIN' Thursday? You know what this means? 2more days untill...WEEKEND!

Ok, serious time. Workout today is KenpoX, kickboxing. I really like this workout. You feel like you could kick some butt when you are done--like self defense classes. Fun.

Lori-hope you get your run in. It's way windy here too. Did you get any other Cathe dvds, besides the 4DS? Sounds like they will be here soon, yay!

Lainie--good for you with the WW online, that works out so great. Everything is right there for you. Do you ever go to the WW forums there? Umm, can you say DRAMA! There is always some catty banter going on with someone getting kicked off, and a thread getting deleted. Neat!

Amelia--I hear you with all the events going on. It makes it really hard to stay on track.Maybe try eating just a bite of stuff? I try and eat small amounts of everything, but not too much of anything, and No Seconds! Good luck--you can do it, you have come so far. Being thin tastes better than any food.

Hello to Stacey, Belinda, and Cheryl. I will try and check in later.

Carrie

Hi, everyone!! Almost weekend!
I was too busy yesterday to post, but I did the new KB/LB plus a 20 min TM run. Felt great.

Today was a 45 min TM run only.

Lori, hope you get that run in. Sounds fun.

Amelia, you may just have to be gentle on yourself for the rest of the holiday season and do what you can. It's so hard!

Lainie, love that WW online. I consider it a very good option. I like their interface.

Carrie, wow, great workout!! Good for you!!

Have a great day, everyone!

Hi Everyone!

I've been super busy this morning trying to work on my house. Was able to get laundry going, dishwasher going, kitchen floor mopped, and chicken noodle soup started in the crock pot for dinner. All while Ryan napped, he did wake up eariler than normal and got about 40min of sleep (usually goes for 2 hours in the morning).

So, feeling really good today, finally! Emma also seems much better so that is great too.

Got another workout in last night and starting to feel like I'm getting back on track. I did an elliptical warmup and Cathe's upper body sculpt. The plan tonight is to do a bit longer elliptical then follow with Cathe lower body sculpt.

Lori- good luck getting a run in today, hope the weather cooperates for you! You've asked me how I mangage the motivation to workout in the evening, and you know, it truly is the only time of day I feel I can get an uninterrupted workout and time to myself. I never can predict Ryan's nap lenth in the morning so it's better for me to work on the house while he sleeps.

Amelia- I agree with the others, try not to be too hard on yourself and just try to get through the holidays as best you can. I'm sure keeping up with the workouts will help you to feel better too.

Lainie - ugh! Sorry about your ankle! Glad you're at physical therapy though, hopefully they can help it to heal up. Do you think you'll get a bike or elliptical for Christmas? That would be great if you did:)

Carrie - hello, great workout! I also LOVE kickboxing, so much fun;)

Cheryl - Also, great workout and I too am ready for the weekend!!

Have a great day all, will check back later...

Hi Ladies--

Just in to report my workout. I finished KenpoX. What a great workout. Love kickboxing. Does anyone/everyone have kick max or KPC? I may have to purchase one of those if my love affair continues.

Hi Stacey--good job on getting your workouts in. I used to workout when DS was asleep, but now since my w/o are 1hour- i just put him in the swing and he can watch me. Seems to work ok. Do you do a steady state on the Elliptical or do you mix it up?

Cheryl--good job on your workout. I hope your 'busy' is a 'good busy'.

Well, got to work and then I hope to stop at my ALLTIMEFAVORITE store, WAL MART. No, not really my favorite, but you would think as much as I freakin' go there. Ahh. Life.

Carrie

Hey girls, still no workout yet,I have to wait until after supper to get it in! I plan on a twenty min powerwalk with ankleweights and a twenty minute jog/walk then abb bonus from B&G!

Its a bit cold out so I will have to bundle up,not looking forward to the cold but I am looking forward to the workout!

Lori-I wish I could get out of the wedding on saturday! I guess I wll just eat reasonable(lord help me,LOL)atleast my jeans are still lose! How did the pics turn out?

Cheryl-Are you doing a rotation? Great job on both today's and yesterdays workout:)and thank you for the kind words early!

Stacey-Great job on your workouts! I just bought a crock pot and dont have any great recipes yet...can you share your chicken noodle recipe? I have made beef stew, beans(all kinds, lol)and well thats about it! I like cooking in it because I can throw it in,turn it on and presto...dinner!

Carrie-I know what you mean about walmart,I have to go there today to get some groceries...that place is always a mad house, especially this time of the year! I Like KPC,but iam not really a kickboxing fan! But the music is awesome and cathe has really good form in it! Its worth the money,IMO

Lainie-Good luck with the core program!! And I agree with ya about the whole eating and giving up thing!Im not really scared about giving up-I've come too far-besides I really love working out and eating right.I do beat my self up to much though...need to work on that. You are really having a hard time with your ankle, bummer,I hope the physical therapy helps!

Belinda-I hope you had a lovely day:)

Have a great night girls:)

Hi Carrie!
Soooo with you on Walmart, it is a necessary evil;) I know I'll be dragging myself there soon to scope out toys for the kids for Christmas. They do have good deals. I also get my Christmas photos done there of the family. I have tried KPC (fittv version) and it was great. I've never tried Kickmax and am also curious about that one. I have been using Kimberly Spreen's Cardio Camp (combo of Hi/Lo and Kickboxing) and LOVE it, great music and she's a good instructor. As far as the elliptical, I'm addicted to the intervals program on it (there are 6 different programs I can choose). I like that it mixes up the intensity for me and I find it challenging.

Have a great evening:)

Hi Amelia!
Were you able to get out for a walk/jog? I'm happy to hear someone else has to workout in the evenings:)

Yes, the crockpot is my lifesaver! I love it. My folks actually bought me a great cookbook called the Slowcooker Bible for my birthday last year and it has a lot of great recipes. I recommend picking up a slow cooker cookbook at some point cause there are a lot of things you can make. I'd be more than happy to send you the Chicken Noodle soup recipe, it was delicious! I'll send it tomorrow.

Okay, off to cuddle with my kids, then jump on the elliptical again. Also going to do some of Cathe's Lower Body sculpt from BSBF (love those add ons on that dvd).
