****Weight Watchers Thursday*****

MARY1616

Cathlete
Good morning everyone...i am finding it hard to sleep so I figured i would post now at 1:10 a.m.(it is thursday )My mom is not doing well, we had to move her to a hospice facility and the nursing staff says that we probably only have a couple of days left with her. we have decide to sedate her heavily so she is unaware and can finally be pain free. yesterday was a tough day and hopefully today will be a little easier. the hospice people are amazing and very supportive. :) thank you for your prayers. i am going to try and get some sleep ,i will try and be back at a reasonable hour:)

Good Morning Everyone:)

I had another good night last night. The baby woke at 4 and again at 7. So at 7 I decided to stay up b/c I have baby group at 9:30 and I was thinking of getting a run in before I go. But it is now 7:35 so Im not sure if I will be able to fit it in. I also have to get DD off to school. I may be able to fit something in later cause I won't get a workout in this Sunday.

Mary, so sorry to hear about your mom. Atleast she got home for a couple of days. You made the best choice. Its hard to let the ones go that we love but sometimes its the best thing for everyone. We are here for you in the days ahead!

Anyway, thats it from me. Scale isn't going to move this week and I really don't like the way I look with no clothes on! I have to remember that I did have a baby 3 monthes ago and it took me longer then 3 monthes of working out before to get buff so why all the pressure? I expect to much of myself. Sometimes I just wish I could follow a diet that I know will work (like no carbs at dinner or something like that) but my body is making milk 24/7 so it needs energy, now is not the time to get super strict.

I will be back later, I don't know if I will have time at lunch to check in but Ill try:)
Lori:)

Mary: {{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{major hugs}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}} just know that you are making very difficult but kind and loving decisions for your mom. We're here sweetie. All my prayers are coming.

Lori: You sound a bit down & hard on yourself today... These slow weeks are when you look back on all your progress and know that your body is just getting used to its new weight & size. Give yourself a chance to settle in a bit and then change up your cardio routines.. Make sure you are getting variety.... High Intensity Days/shorter duration then lower intensity days/longer duration. Try to also get as many varied types of exercise as possible... Step, Walk or run, HiLo, Circuit etc.... This will pass

Today is YOGAX and Magically Hips Yoga for me. Busy day outside of house so wont be around much at all.

Hope everyone is well out there and has a great day!

Mary-Sending you prayers and hugs! Were here if you need us!Your making a hard but kind and loving(like Traci said)decision. I know this must be the most difficult time for you,Im sorry you and your mom is going through this!May I ask,What is your mom being Hospitalized for?

Traci-I hope you enjoy your busy day outside! and all your yoga workouts...talk to ya later!

Lori-It does sound like your being hard on yourself! Not too long ago ,you brought another human being into the world,be patient, you will get there! Just some thoughts...Maybe your working too hard,or not eating enough or a combo of the two!

Well ladies Im kinda down on myself as well, went to class last night and the teacher asked us to 'introduce'ourself, and as he said that my heart went to racing!yes a panic attack(haven't had one in years)I can't even remember what I said to the class! I do remember my facial muscles twicthing and the room spinning! thought about going to my doc about it,but what can he do besides give me meds, and I don't like the idea of that!My Dh says I shouldn't dwell on it,its over!(thats easy for him to say,hes a supervisor and is use to speaking in front of a large group of people)I couldn't sleep last night thinking of what I should of said! Is that crazy, should I go to a doctor about it?

workout today is gonna be upper body and a hour walk,if it doesn't rain!If it does then some kind of step cardio! I did get a little excited last night and noticed my school opened up a gym with all the machines I've been aching to use, yeah!

Amelia:
When I was 18 I had the same Public Speaking attacks- almost cost me my job as I froze at my first attempt to speak to a group of 30 employees...My boss at the time was generous enough to send me to a Dale Carnegie Public Speaking program. It changed my life. I think it was a 13 week 1x a week program. I later went on to become a Trainer for an International Company, A Key Note Conference Speaker and a Motivational Speaker (groups of 200+).... YES you can overcome this...You do NOT NEEDS PILLS to do it IMO- At age 44 I may be just "old fashioned" but pills are not the best answer to all of lifes ailments. Public Speaking fears are not about a chemical imbalance it is a natural fear that can be faced and you can re-train your mind to see it as exciting. Search the net for programs in your area- they can change your life!!!

Traci-once agian,Thankyou!I could just give you a ((((((hug)))) right now,Im sitting here in tears cause you made me feel soooo much better! I will look for public speaking programs in my area,I guess I should start at my local hospital! I'm am very shy also, and always beating myself up over it,cause i don't want to be! But I figure in time I will over come it as well! Your the best,Have a wonderful day!

Amelia, I HATE speaking in public! Actually, I refuse to do it.A friend of mine wanted me to give a speech at her wedding and I got all sulky until she told me I didnt have to. I also applied on a job about for yrs ago and I had to go away for training.I had to fly to the other side of the country and missed the first day of class. When I got there on Tues I found out that they all had to introduce EACH OTHER! AND tell them things no one else knew about you. I was never so glad I missed a connecting flight! The last time I gave a speech it was at my sisters wedding and my voice and top lip shook! I wish I could speak in public but I just cant do it!

Traci, I know I am being hard on myself today. You know how when some over weight people lose weight but they still feel fat? Thats how I feel.I still feel like I did when I came home from the hospital but I know I don't look it.The recipes sound yummy! Im gonna have to print them off.

Well, I got a 3 mile run in and abs and while I was in the shower DH's cell phone was ringing. One of the girls went to open up the store but only to see that it had been broken into last night! They have an alarm system but I don't know what happened. Thats twice in the last 9-10 monthes. They just built a new building, they were better off staying in the mall. anyway he ran out of here and now I dont know if i will get to baby group.

So...ill be around for a while.
Lori

Good Morning, gang!

Yes, it's really morning and I'm up and going! NOT by choice, though! DH has a doctor's appt this morning, so here I am....up. Once again, despite only getting about 3 hrs of sleep yesterday during the day, I was crashed by 11 last night, WIDE awake by 3 this morning. I laid there trying to fall back asleep, and I actually think that I did on a couple of occasions until someone (DH) or something (cat) woke me up! Anyway, I last remember seeing about 5:40 on the clock and told myself that if I saw 6, I was going to get up and work out and stuff before DH's appt. The next thing I knew was the alarm going off!x(

Mary- I send you lots and lots of cyber hugs! I know that it's hard for you right now, but just know that we are here for you and that you are doing what's best for your mom. Giving her dignity and comfort are the 2 biggest things at this time in her life!!!

Amelia- I used to hate public speaking, too! I don't know what happened, it just started getting easier for me when I was in college. I guess that it was all the talking to patients all the time. They're "public" so it just got a bit easier after I made that connection. I am glad that you leg is getting better. My DOMS are still humming in my legs, but that's better than screaming, right???

Traci- I hope that you enjoy your yoga day. My rotation calls for Step Blast, but I think that I am going to do RS instead. I haven't done that one in ages! That was super cool that your boss sent you to that school!

Lori- OMG!!! I hope that your DH's store is okay! That's horrible that it keeps getting broken into. It almost sounds like there's an inside job going on between the embezzler and the break-ins.....then again, I watch TONS of forensic shows and have a suspicious nature!

Well, the shower is free and I need to get going. I will catch you all later!

Hi, everyone!

Mary, our dear friend, I am sending you many hugs!!!! I saw your post late (early) this morning before I went to sleep and you were on my mind all night. I can't imagine everything you must be feeling. We are all here for you.

Amelia, our dear, what a horrible experience you had - and Traci, hugs to you for your wonderful advice. I second everything Traci said, and I hope you are feeling much better today. This too shall pass - and I sure like Traci's ideas better than considering new meds!

LoriG, you are doing so well, please don't get down on yourself!!
I still don't like what I'm seeing in the lower body without clothes (thankfully with clothes I'm feeling much happier) - the progress comes in small steps, and you have pulled it together like a cyclone, really, since you look at the short time that's elapsed since the "Ry guy's" birth just a few months ago. You are doing so well.

Traci, yes, enjoy your yoga day. That sounds so much fun.

Today was 45 min. run on the Cathe rotation, but I was feeling the need for intervals, so instead I pulled out iMax and did it for the first time on an 8" step. It was just the ticket! I feel good.

My weight has also crept back to the 122's, so I realize it's been water retention I've been fighting this week, as I suspected. Feeling much better today. It's amazing what even 1 pound of "fluff" can do to your psyche! ( I guess that is if you're a bit compulsive like me ) :)

Amy, hope you made it through the surprise extra work shift okay - looking forward to hearing from you later today.

Have a great morning, everyone!!
Cheryl

Hey Gals,

I got out to baby group but Im not sure if I will get out anymore today. DH said I could have the truck b/c he is going to be at work all afternoon. I feel so bad for him b/c he as been working so hard lately and he was looking forward to having a couple of days off. Now, he as to clean up his store and will get further behind with their work.
This wasn't an inside job but a very professional job. At 1:57 a van pulled into the parking lot and at 2:02 the wires to the cameras and alarm were cut. Alot of mens clothing, bikes and sunglasses were stolen. The cops are all over it but Im sure the moving truck was painted or even switched after they stole stuff. It would be great to catch the theives b/c Im sure this is what they do for their livelyhood BUT it was such a professional job that I would imagine they have all areas covered.
Anyway, all we can do his hope they get caught! Im hoping to get a nap this afternoon i I don't go out and MAYBE a leg workout tonight.
Lori:)

Hey, all!

Cheryl- NO surprise extra shift here! When I left yesterday morning, I was told to my face that I was not going to be needed, so I stayed up all day after breakfast, except for a 3 hr nap. I told them, "NO" when they called....there was no way I'd make it through the shift on 3 hrs of sleep! There is NOT enough coffee in the universe for me to accomplish that feat!!!

DH had an appointment this morning so we were out and about all day. We had a great (albiet, unclean!) lunch, I spent lots of money shopping and had a great time!!!

Here's a list of my "catch"-

*2 new Victoria Secrets bras ($25 off!)
*1 FREE pair of VS underwear
*2 cami tops from Old Navy
*2 pair of super cute low rise shorts from Old Navy
*10 (yes, ten) new workout videos from Ross Dress for Less at $4.99 each!!!!
*Yoga mat/blocks/strap set from Sports Authority (needed the blocks more than anything)
*lots of new brain candy reading material.....although I should have spent the money on the GRE book instead}( ;-)
*new lip glosses, soap, and lotion from Bath and Body works
*wine from an international food shop (went looking for Fage yogurt, though)
*new kitty toys for their birthdays (March and April)

We didn't get home until around 6 and there was a message from work wanting to know if I wanted to work......I don't ever *want* to work!!!;-) ;-) ;-)

Well, I didn't feel like Step Blast since I just did that one recently, but I pulled out RS instead. I did it on just the step, no riser and wasn't sure if I'd get a good workout. Well, I did!! I was able to get through the entire thing with TONS of energy for all the jumping right to the very end. I even tried a new Tai Chi/Kickboxing tape from Janis Saffell afterwards that felt really great!!! It's amazing to see how much just the last few weeks of yoga has really helped my balance and strength!

Okay, I'm done rambling now! I hope that you have a good evening!

Wow, Amy, what a fun day you had!

And what a great day of shopping - right down to b-day gifts for the cats. You made a haul! Sorry you didn't find the Fage yogurt, though. That is becoming a true addiction. I love it even better than ice cream and I do think the calcium is doing me some real good.

Great workout, too. RS sure sounds like fun.

Tomorrow is FRIDAY. And I will do the GS Shoulders, back and bi's. I'm actually looking forward to it.

Have a great night, everyone!!
Cheryl
