Received 2 new DVDs in yesterday mail…
*Brand New Butt- Janis Saffell …. Looks like a terrific Core Syn option. Its Functional Fitness that uses options of 2# ankle wts and 2-8# handhelds. Chaptered nicely as well if you want to avoid the floor work although that looked like it had some unique moves – didn’t notice donkey kicks in traditional way etc…

No laughing on this one guys… * Personal Training System – Denise Austin…. I LIKE Denise… I needed a non step varying degree of cardio and this will help with that. Its got mix n match and lots of options/chapters to create the intensity of the day. I will use this one along with Speedbody for recovery weeks or when I need a “double” but body isn’t up to Cathe

Still due to arrive…. Tony’s Power Half Hour, Tracey Staehle Cardio Sweatfest + Sculpt Sweatfest + Core Strength & Conditioning, 6 tank tops from Chadwick’s and my 3 cooking magazines… ALL of this was ordered in the 48 hours I was sick last week. Do I have a problem????

Cracked me up about mirrors & muscles! I don’t think that’s what the room designers put those ceiling mirrors up for! ROFL

Belinda::: LOVE KPC – So many premixes so little time! Nice you have a partner to help motivate! Congrats on scale holding even after a big food day- gotta love those victories! WOW that your friend even wanted to try CF! That’s a toughie – LOL on NO SHARING of Cathe! I am so with you on that… I have no desire to loan my girl out!


Amelia::: Scale rule is you ALWAYS take lowest #! If you weren’t that wt then how could the scale go that low??? That’s my story anyway! Happy that you are enjoying KPC… Sometimes the die-hards on the boards can make me feel intimidated about a workout- once I actually do it they are never that scary.. LOL ob Dog Food- We go thru 40# of dry every 2 weeks – they also get chicken broth )made from REAL chicken !) …SPOILED , FAT & HAPPY!

Good Morning!

Congrats, Traci on NO CHOCOLATE!!! I received the new Tracey Staehle's in the mail yesterday, but won't get a chance to preview until at least tomorrow or Monday. I am *still* looking at Barry's BootCamp now that I have a bit'o'money coming in~!

I had to laugh because I lent KickMax to a co-worker a couple of months ago. I didn't mind because it's not one that I do a lot. Anyway, she really likes kickboxing and wanted to try Cathe since she hears me rave about her all the time. I kept hounding her if she'd try it and she finally did last Sunday.....and LOVED her. She was super impressed at how "tough" she is in both workout and body! She also returned the DVD and I had it on the counter and it got lots of attention. One of the docs said that she (Cathe) looked like someone that could "kick your ass" and I responded, "She does on a regular basis!!!";-) :7

Tonight is Arms/Shoulders. I know this one will be a goodie as I LOVE to work upper body! I know that I will dread Legs/Back because I hate working legs for some reason. I always feel better when I do, but it's just getting myself worked up for it is the problem!

Unfortunately, almost all my new purchases last week were only worth the $5 I spent on them. One of the yoga workouts ended up being so hokey that it looked like a home video! I did LOVE the Ellen Barrett Crunch one, though! (thanks, Traci!)

I had to LOL about the dog food as well! Except in my situation, it's cat food! I usually get the #15 lb bags of about 4 different brands. The salesperson always looks at me funny and asks just how many cats I have! I tell them 3, but I don't give them the chance to be picky eaters!
 
Phew...couldn't log in for a minuite there! At home the computer knows my password and user name and this one doesn't! Soooo, I almost didn't get on.

Im up to get a run in before we head out for the day.Im hoping not to beat around to much cause I think it will be hard on little Rylan. Last night we went to the mall and his head was spinning. He was watching everyone go by....all the bright lights in the stores and so on....he started getting a little cranky and he wanted no part of his stroller. I think he likes being home just sitting on the floor, kicking and screaming.
Eating wasn't to bad yesterday but you know what its like when you are travelling. I ate way to many mini easter eggs (Traci, I ate your chocolate!)then I was gonna get the Caramel Chip Cheesequake Blizzrd:eek: :9 but the line up was way to long and I didn't want it that bad.There is a scale here so I am thinking about hoping on but it will probably tell me something alot different from mine and I won't be able to go by it.

Traci, you like Denise Austin? Sorry, I did have to giggle to myself!:7 Shes a little different isn't she? Ive only previewed some of her stuff and if it isn't as hard as cathe, I have no use for it. I like Mindy Mylera (sp?) but she is way to hyper so Ive only done her workouts a few times, but she is tough. Good job on no chocolate!

Amy, Glad your co-worker enjoyed the workout. I loaned out KPC the other day to a girl in play group but she hasn't tried it yet. I was wondering what she was gonna think of it. I hate it when I loan out stuff and they have it for a month before they try it. Cause I want it back! I gave a friend PUB,ME,and PH and I know she doesn't use them so I need them back. SHe has had them for over a yr now, I think thats long enough.
I also enjoyed reading the comments your co-workers gave you. For some reason, people think bc you workout at home that you don't get a good workout. Numerous people are always surprised b/c I work out at home....that was before I got preggo and had lots of muscle....now Im just skin:eek: :)

Anyway, I better get my run in before my little fishy wakes and starts going with his mouth!

Traci-I have to admit,I don't mind Denise Austin!Although I don't own any of her workouts!I did do a pilates by her and it was ok,I didn't like how her voice went high then low in one sentence:+:eek:! Sounds like you've got alot of workouts coming your way! Oh,how I would love to order some more but I think my DH would take away my credit card:+,I did spend alot(180)on cathe in janurary! She is, so far, the only instructor i own!except for one jillian Micheals,cardio kickbox,which i didn't like at all!(i could of bought a cathe w.o insteadx(!)

Amy-I love tax season,I usually start my 'list' for taxes in july;-)!I don't think I could part(for any amount of time)with my cathe workouts,my friends would have to buy their own}( :7!

Lori-I totally agree,I've been basicaly driving one of my friends crazy about tring a cathe workout,she goes to the gym and just doesn't think working out at home could give the same results! Its crazy, its like the gym brainwashes her or something!Im not knocking the gym either,if I could afford it I would go thier...sometimes:7!

I weighed today and Im 2.5pds lighter! Yesturday was one of those crazy WI's!I'm gonna go with the 2.5,and Yipee...can't believe I still lose after pigging out on easter sunday,and not to mention all the chocolate,which I havent had since monday:):D:7!

I've got some DOMS in my arms,shoulders from KPC yesturday! I love it,cant wait to do it again! I think today will be a rest day(got to take them atleast once or twice a week!)

Hey Girls,

Just finished a 4 mile run and it was a good one! My brother as incline on his TM, which I don't have so I was running hills today at the normal pace I would run. I think it was a great calorie burner. Hopefully I will be able to run longer tomorrow.

Amelia, I don't think I lost any weight this week but I am down to the finally 3 lbs so I can't expect to keep losing 3 lbs every second week. To tell you the truth, Im kinda happy with where my weight is,( considering that I have lost 16 lbs since the beginning of Feb)but now I need to work on toning up and I think I will see weightloss while doing that. I think when its time to renew my membership with WW's Im not gonna do it. I can pretty much follow it on my own now anyway. COngrats on the weight loss though! Feels great doesn't it!?

Alright, should dry my hair! Ill be back later tonight.

Hi, everyone!

The run was wonderful! 2 hours and 2 minutes of trail runs. Kicked my tail. The weigh in was not wonderful - 124.0. Easter and Las Vegas were not kind to me, and I've got to get my tail in gear... that's 1.2 higher than my April 1 weigh in and 3 lbs higher than the 121.0 I managed to hold for an entire week. I've got new business/ex partner stress to blame, but somehow it just doesn't cut it. x( x( }(

I'm recommitting, right here. I haven't come this close to let the final 5 lbs do me in. :7

Traci, sounds like some wonderful workouts. Yayy!!!

Amy, love the story about the KickMax DVD on the counter and the comments at work. And loved your response :)

Lori, bummer Ryan didn't like going to the mall... sigh... does take the fun out of things. Glad you avoided the Blizzard, whatever the reason. You are doing so well! Laughing at your note to Traci that you ate her chocolate yesterday. Unfortunately, I ate mine all by myself

Off to pick up Nadia from dance class. Will probably take Nadia and my Russian son to a movie a little later this afternoon. Planning homemade supreme pizza for the big Sunday dinner tomorrow. Will have to limit myself to one piece }(

Traci yesterday I really had a late start doing my workout, but it is always so much fun working out with Alesia:D We laugh alot! She thinks it is funny how I kickbox:D :D
My friend thinks she can handle Cardio Fusion:+ :+ Go for it}( }(
I told her there a ladies doing Cathe's workouts for years and CF is tough for them:+ She is not in better shape than I am that is for sure!!She thinks different:+

Todays workout is going to be Pyramitd Lower Body and Core Max 1:)

This week I am not taking a rest day, since I'm one day behind it!

Lori-sounds like your doing great,wish I only had three pds to lose,you go girl! I've got OH...about 50 more:eek:,but closer with every passing week! I quite paying my weekly membership about a month ago and quite going to meetings,although I like all the recipes and encouragement I got there,but I can get all that here:),you guys are really great and encourageing(sp)!besides once my mind is set on somthing,its stays set!(know what I mean) And it does feel great,to lose weight,I've been holding on to this weight for about 8 years now,Im just glad I found cathe and these forums!

Cheryl-Your making my mouth drool,supreme homemade pizza Oh My! Have a pc for me ;-)!

Hello ladies...i wanted to stop in and say hi to everyone. this has been a tough few days and yesterday was my moms funeral. i think this week will be more challenging since i wont have so much activity which keeps my mind busy. i did have to put my moms picture further back on my shelf because everytime i walked past it , i would cry. i know that i will feel better after some time has passed but i also know that i will miss her everyday. i have not been able to work out since tuesday:( i have not gone that long since i gave birth. i am looking foward to tomorrow and i am thinking stepblast but i dont know for sure. i feel out of the loop with everyone but i will be able to check in more now.
traci: thank you for your thoughts and let me know about those new workouts
amy: i was reading your post and when i got to the bottom i saw your saying about friends and i must say i cant agree more:)

lori:i am thinking you are away because of the foreign treadmill:) i will have to go back and see where you are

amelia:2.5 pounds WOW!! i got on the scale a few days ago and it said i lost 12lbs...i freaked out and ofcouse had to make sure there was nothing under the scale and there was a piece of my sons storybook which threw the scale off and well lets just say it was 2lbs.:)

cheryl:2 hr run...your endurance is and inspiration. i hope all is well with business. i am going to take a look back and see if i missed anything

belinda and teddygirl:i hope you guys are feeling good. i miss chatting so i will be back tomorrow for sure:)
