Weight loss check in week of 1/26

Where is everybody?? I was surprised to not see a check in started. I hope I am not duplicating someone else's effort here.

I lost another 2 lbs this week. I am down the 195. I am NOT going to jinx myself and say I'm on a roll, but I am pleased with the numbers.

I actually took out the tape measure, and my waist is 2 inches smaller than last month, 1 inch off my bust. Hips no change :-( I carry a lot of weight on my hips so I guess I gotta be patient with that area.

How is everyone else doing this week.

Marci - you rule!!! You are doing fantastic! Doesn't it feel great??

I am unfortunately still at 220 - went to Arizona for a few days to visit with family and boy am I glad I didn't gain any weight! Have you guys seen how normal people eat?? Good gravy, I weight 220 and I don't hardly ever eat red meat, how do these people do it? Oh yeah, they probably stop eating when they're full... :) I have a little problem with that.

Looking forward to seeing how everybody's week went...

Amy--I also have a problem with not stopping when I'm full!

I might be finally breaking my plateau. The scale showed a .5 pound loss this morning. I also don't want to jinx myself like Marci!

In any case, I am going to try really hard to eat better so that I can lose some more fat before DH and I go to Florida in March for vacation!

How did everyone else do?

Good job on the losses and on not gaining. I'm down 1.2 -- not much but significant in that this is the first time I haven't gained 1-2 lbs during TOM in the past 25 weeks. Plan is to KOKO this week.

I'm fine with eating during the day.. I stick to my planned lunch/snacks. Its evening hours and snacking where my biggest problem lies.. So, I've been trying out different lowfat crockpot recipes so that I come home from work and have the majority of dinner's prep completed. That's seemed to help me stay on track once I get home.

Sharon: Had to edit back in to say congrats to you too! You must have been posting while I was! :)

Kay: So we're suppose to stop when we get full huh? That explains why I have so much trouble losing~and ask yourself, "are we ever REALLY full?" "HHHHMMMMM????????" But you maintained, and that's EXCELLENT! :7

And please people, lets not slam the red meat okay! I mean geez, if we didn't have red meat, how would we eat double quarter pounders w/cheese for goodness sakes?! And remember, what's a supersized fry without the burger? Now I ask you!? :+

I told you I was feeling a little "Scarlet O'Hara" last week. I was not coming back to this forum without a loss to report! I'm down 1# "Wooooo-Hoooooo!" I so don't deserve it though! I had a few really bad eating days that were clearly "over the top" by any standard, so I'm assuming a "higher power" took pity on me and said, "if this chick doesn't lose at least a pound she'll go postal, so let me help her out!" Hey!~ I'll take it! :7

I'm currently going through a "detox" phase from sweets and it's making me extremely emotional. A few minutes ago I was ranting like a lunatic on diettalk threatening to run down little old ladies with my shopping cart when I get to the grocery store, and now I'm sitting here poking fun. Sugar is NOT our friend people! The withdrawal is worse than quitting cigarettes! I didn't feel this out of control and I smoked for 10 years! I have hormones surging through my body like a tidal wave right now! But if I can ride this out, I will be out of the "empty calorie" hole I've dug myself. I waste just too many calories/day on stuff that just means me no good. It doesn't help my workouts or my weight loss efforts! So please say a silent prayer for me to get through this without either going insane or accidently caving in my hubby's head because he picked the wrong moment to say the wrong thing! This is just day #1 of "something sweet" detox! I am BARELY hanging on to my sanity! If it were a full moon I swear I'd be howling right now!

But, I'm going to do this, and with any luck, it will pay off next week with another loss!

See you guys, I'll probably be back, if I don't go to jail this afternoon for running down some old lady with my shopping cart!

Red meat is good. I like red meat. But roast or tacos for EVERY MEAL?? I'd be fat as a bear if I ate like that. I guess I didn't realize that a lot of the world has not incorporated chicken or fish to any great degree into their diets.

But hey, it works for them! They're all skinny people, d@mn them.
 
Congratulations everyone! I was all depressed last week because I had put on 4 pounds over the weekend. Well, it's all gone now plus an additional pound. It probably wasn't all fat though or it wouldn't have gone away so quickly. So I lost 5 pounds this week and I'm back to my pre-Christmas weight.

I been looking for this check-in all weekend. Congratulations to everybody who lost or maintained. The scale says I lost one pound, but I just do not believe it because since I hurt my knee on Wednesday I couldn't exercise and my eating has been out of control, and I didn't even journal. I am going to try to exercise on Wednesday very lightly maybe with PH.

Donna: Just hang in there with your detox, I heard it gets easier, notice I said I heard, I would like to try this myself but I do not think I am ready. Good luck. Till next week

Can I join? I want to checkin w/others who are serious about losing and posting progress. I'm also in a checkin on the Firm Ya-Ya forum. I've lost 7lbs so far. I use mostly Cathe's and Firm workouts.

I seem to have lost 4 pounds since New Year, which is really surprsing since I haven't been hitting the gym that often. However, I got my CTX series 2 weeks back and have been doing that regularly-so I guess that helped a LOT!!! YAY!!!!!

Good morning, Everyone. Today I did Power Hour. I'm doing a Cathe rotation this week since I got 5 new ones last week. I'm loving it so far.
Sun was MIS
Mon was Step Works
Tue was IMAX
Today was Power Hour
Thur will be Rhythmic Step
Fri will be IMAX again or Cardio Kicks

I might do this rotation again next week, but all step will be on 8in step vice 6.

I weigh in on Friday, but, this week Auntie's visiting
;-) , so weigh in might not be pretty.

I feel like crappie-doo, but I may as well post anyway :) I have had the worst PMS/PMDD that I have ever had in a LONG time, I literally looked like this http://www.smilies-world.de/Smilies/Smilies_klein_1/sm_hi104.gif and put on 3 pounds, not good really ;(

Exercise went awol, haven't worked out since last Thursday (almost a week) - hopefully going to muster up the energy tonight, and begin again :)

Had a good driving lesson yesterday, despite the PMS http://www.click-smilie.de/sammlung/auto/auto003.gif

Well, thats all folks !!!!! Hopefully, I will be feeling better next week, until then........

Regarding weight loss...weeeeeellll.....I had gained 5 pounds on Jazmin birth control pill and stopped it so now I have lost 4 of those and am not taking that pill anymore. I ran 4 miles on Monday and have not been able to do anything else since my baby has had the croup, ear infection and upper respiratory infection since 1/23!!! Grrrrr!!!!!!!!!! ;(

I am running a 5K on 2/22 so I am training for that. My IS dvds are getting here tomorrow and I am planning on doing cathe's blast rotation beginning with bootcamp...so I am not weighing in until Saturday next week!

Ladies, keep up the good work!!! Believe it or not, posting the good and the bad motivates a lot of us!:D

Anna, good luck giving up the junk food. I'm contemplating that too. I just seem to be sucked to that stuff and it I know its just pure poisen to my body.
 
Poison maybe! But they'll be prying a double quarter pounder w/cheese from my cold dead hands! A super sized fry will be in the other one! :+

And I wonder why weight loss is so hard? duh!

Good Morning, Everyone. Yest I did Power Hour in the AM and Rhythmic Step in the PM. This AM I did Rhythmic Step again. I really love that work out. No wonder why I'm so tired? ;-) I can't wait til Saturday which is my rest day.

Happy Friday, Everyone. Today I did IMAX again. I'm good and tired now. Tomorrow will be a BFRD, but I might do a little stretching or pilates. Next week, I will do another week of Cathe, but, I don't think I'll do a double workout day. But, who knows. If I have the time and the energy, I might. This week my little "Auntie" was visiting, so next week I should have even more energy. :eek:
