Weekend Check-in, Saturday-Sunday, December 30-31, 2017

Siobhan - I know what you mean with eating crap and therefore working out daily. Sounds like me.

Elsie, Missy and Linda - speaking of Fit Split... I can't wait to get it, but postal services... my package seems to be in transit, which can literally take weeks! Last Cathe package got delivered to my door, even though the box clearly said to be picked up at the post office as taxes and custom duties still had to be paid. Weird! There was no way out of paying those duties and taxes so I had to go to the post office and explain, no the package is not there... despite a letter having been left for me that I had to go pay to pick it up, but I did want to pay.

Today my legs were sore. Big time!!! All that walking and Legs & Glutes on Friday followed by Yvette's long Kettlebell, cardio and step yesterday has worked my legs real hard. It's been a while since my legs were this sore! My shoulder is also sore, but not sure if it is from the kettlebell moves or from poor sleep. Last night I decided to have an early night and then I was up at 3 to feed Mick. He seems to have a biological clock requiring a bottle at 3 no matter what time his last bottle in the evening was. And then at 5 I had to go pick up Magnus when he returned from his tournament in Denmark. I was back in bed before 5.30, but at 7.15 Mick was ready for another bottle. What a night and on top of such a tough workout yesterday!

So today was a rest day... and I will probably do more harm than good. [emoji854]I have walked more than 10,000 steps, as nothing gets Mick napping like a walk... but I have also been making chocolate chip cookies and a chocolate cake for tonight. Yummy!

AtlantaJJ - are you familiar with the Cathlete's site: 2 lazy4gym? There are some great ideas for rotations there. I like to pick one, e.g. Upper/lower split, 1 TB and cardio in between and then decide ahead of time which workout to do per day depending on what kind of day it is. If on that day I am not in the mood to do the assigned workout then I can simply pick another that still fits that type of day. I was doing this at the start of 2017, using many different Cathe, KCM and Beachbody programs... but then during my pregnancy I kinda let go of the planning and just did what I felt like trying to make sure I got a good mix of strength and cardio. I will return to make some rotations like this for 2018... I like being organized and planning ahead, also makes me more accountable to myself. I have bought some binders and papers etc. so I plan to get creative with organizing my workout collection and reviews and rotation plans for 2018. I have no idea yet how much time I can manage when I return to work in February. I will really be juggling a lot then... and will have a lot of trouble to fit in daily workouts, but I sure will try.

Thank you so much! I definitely need to plan, I was winging it and it is too easy to fall of the plan when there is no plan! I have read 2Lazy4TheGym before, but not from the perspective of actually using it as a workout planning tool. I used it to read reviews about Cathe’s workouts. I will go back and have another look now that you mentioned this. You sound great, getting your workouts in during pregnancy and now with a little baby to care for [emoji480]. I have no excuses!!

Hi gals,

Today I went through my Killer Kickbox workout with the song changes and then realized in the cooldown that I forgot a move because I was looking at the wrong paper. So I went back and did that song again making sure left out move fit with the new song (It did).

So about 49 minutes of kickboxing today. Worked up a good sweat.

Hi everyone!! Welcome AtlantaJJ!! Well I thought I would take a rest day today but ended up doing Hard Strikes w/ the bonus Tabata's and core THEN I added the lower body section of STS total body. My upper body is so sore and my legs feel like lead!! Perhaps a rest day tomorrow then? Yes Linda this would have been nice to put together in the blender. I'm still on the fence about it.

Siobhan have a lovely time. Linda, stay away from Waldo's, the crazy's are out in force! Hi to everyone and a BIG welcome to our new peeps!

Gotta run for now. I have cinnamon rolls in the oven.

Tonight, they are dropping their ball at 11pm instead of midnight to get people out of the cold. Smart I guess,
But kinda defeats the purpose too. Better safe than sorry! I found a little coat I had for Coco, but he's too
"Round", I couldn't get it to hook. Perhaps he should start a workout regimen for the New year as well :)
 
Linda, perhaps Coco has built some muscles?! That’s funny. My dogs are a bit squishy. They’re happy though! I’m concerned for the people in NYC. It’s 7 degrees at my house right now. I’m about 2 hours north of the city. Midnight it’s going to be about 1-2 degrees!! Is it really worth it? We had a nice dinner and a fire going in the fireplace. I’ll be asleep before midnight anyway. I’m exciting like that. o_O

The cinnamon rolls were delicious! Henriette’s baking made me want to do it. It’s times like this I kinda wished we lived closer to each other. We could do a workout then stuff our faces!!
 
Did did not get a workout in today, but I learned a lot about planning a rotation and I will start a simple one based on the whole body workout 3 times per week plan on 2Lazy4TheGym. Thanks for all of the encouragement ladies, I look forward to checking in 2018 to keep myself accountable and to learn how to use Cathe’s mixer tool.

Siobhan, we moved from East Van to North Van (couver).

Hope everyone is having a nice NYE. We didn't do a lot. I'm meeting a friend tomorrow for a long walk at the seawall. We are lucky as it's just 3 degrees celsius here whereas everywhere else in Canada it's been bloody freezing. Do stay warm everybody!!
