<--- watching the telly and thinking about your holidays

RE: <--- watching the telly and thinking about your hol...

<---is    at Liann's company
<---could understand a 2 year old not behaving, but thinks the 4 year old needs a teaching!
<---will cross all body parts for Liann's DH

RE: <--- watching the telly and thinking about your hol...

<---tells Robin that the 2 year old wasn't even that bad, it was the 4 year old who was a pain and the 2 year old just copied her
<---says that the last time the 4 year old was over, <--- caught her upstairs walking around with a razor she got out of the hall closet
<---says she also got a hold of DH's new frame-less glasses and destroyed them
<---just doesn't understand why parents do not WATCH their kids when they are visiting someone's house
<---doesn't think it should be <---'s responsibility to keep running after them and pulling them out of things
<---will not be inviting them over again anytime soon
<---feels even more disconnected now from people with children
<---says she visited a very dear friend not too long ago who has 4 children and the entire visit was spent with that friend keeping up with her kids, running after her kids, being interrupted by her kids, etc...
<---finally had to leave cuz' we couldn't even talk
<---says this all makes her sad because she feels like she is getting too old and set in her ways to have enough patience for kids :(
<---feels like Mr. Wilson on Dennis the Menace...

RE: <--- watching the telly and thinking about your hol...

<--Pops in to wave good morning to everyone!
<--Hopes everyone had a great weekend!
<--Really enjoyed Mother's Day.
<--Says it's the first Mother's Day that Oliver was able to write his own message in <--'s card, which read, "Happy Muther's Day!!!" :)
<--Hopes Lorie and the gang have a fun get-together!
<--Hopes Liann recovers from her weekend with the kiddos. Yikes...
<--'s nephews used to do the EXACT same thing when they visited <--
<--Says <-- always thinks of that when we visit friends/relatives and tries to keep kiddos in line, but 2 and 4 are very tricky ages because <--has found that 4 year olds think they know it all and are pretty rebellious and 2 year olds do whatever their big brother or sister does. (<--is having flashbacks from last year.)
<--Tells Liann to not let it discourage her. It's different when you have your own kiddos.
<--Still isn't crazy about other people's kids, but loves being a mommy.
<--Waves to Ronne, Cathy, Beth, Connie, Catherine and Shelley
<--Is happy Robin is feeling optimistic today :)
<--Waves to Amelia and tells her go to the get together!!! You deserve some you-time!
<--Is LOL about Evily's fanthy new retainer
<--Is jealous of Nancy's impending vacation. Looks beautiful!!!
<--Is happy to report that <--won the Preggi Bellies workout this weekend on Ebay that <-- had been wanting. Sad, but true. Says it is kind of a hoot. You should check it out on Collage. It's a bunch of preggo women bouncing on stability balls.
<--Hopes <--'s ball is strong enough!!
<--Goes to doc Friday for ultrasound and will let you all know whether it's a he or a she
<--'s DH is convinced it's a she. Keeps calling it our girl name.
<--is a bit worried about his reaction if it winds up being a boy
<--kind of has been feeling girl vibes, but that may be because of him... We'll see.
<--Will be totally thrilled either way.
<--Says enough about that...
<--Hopes you all have a wonderful day!

RE: <--- watching the telly and thinking about your hol...

<---is totally    with Robin about Liann's houseguests
<---gets SO IRRITATED with parents who don't even make an effort to control their children x(
<---tells Liann that <--- thinks not having patience will make us better moms - we won't put up with that kind of crap from our kids :p
<---just finished a very tasty lunch
<---is glad that it was soft and easy to chew (pasta) because <---'s teeth are rather sore from the new retainer
<---just signed up for the National Bone Marrow Registry... wonders if anyone else here has done that?
<---says that you can sign up for FREE right now (it usually costs $52 to join) and all you have to do is a few cheek swabs
<---would love to able to help out someone in need
<---is now going to contemplate all the different soft foods available for <--- to eat with sore teeth... cookies? brownies? cake? yup. sounds good to <--- ;)

ETA
<---waves to lovely Stephanie and is glad to hear she enjoys bouncing around on big balls with pregnant women :p ;)
<---is totally LOL at "Happy Muther's Day" ;) Too cute!
<---is very excited about the upcoming ultrasound - <---'s money is on GIRL ;)
<---wonders if anyone wants to have a friendly wager... :p

RE: <--- watching the telly and thinking about your hol...

<--Tells Evily for full disclosure sake, <--must tell everyone that <--has two boys and DH's brother has two boys and MIL had two boys, get the pattern?
<--Knows the odds are against a girl, but still feels girl vibes.
<--"knew" my other kiddos were boys before their ultrasounds, though DH also was very sure Henry was a girl. :)
<--Has a pink and brown carseat picked out that <--loves. So if it's a boy, <--hopes he likes pink! (Just kidding :) )

RE: <--- watching the telly and thinking about your hol...

<---thanks Steph & Em for the kid encouragement
<---as the impending 3-0 lurks in the distance, <--- has been thinking more and more about the timing for giving the wieners a little brother or sister
<---gets really discouraged though when she sees other people's kids and actually feels "revulsion"
<---LOVES babies, but toddlers not so much
<---is sure Steph is right about it being different when they are yours
<---promises the OAL'ers that if she ever brings her "kids" over to their houses that she will not let them act like <---'s in-law's kids! ;)
<---is always making mental notes like that for herself

RE: <--- watching the telly and thinking about your hol...

<-- waves GM to everyone
<-- thanks everyone for their concern, is okay, still PO though
<-- is glad that owner and dog were found and dog is current on vaccines
<-- thanks Lorie for her envite and would LOVE to come but won't be able to join in the fun x(
<-- is LOL about turkeybaster swinging Nancy
<-- wonders if Stephanie will find out ahead of time if it is a boy or girl
<-- waves to everyone else and apologizes for lack of personals
<-- thinks <--'s brain is still snoozing
<-- hopes everyone had a great Mother's Day
<-- had brunch at the Cheesecake Factory and is now afraid to step on the scale :+
<-- just heard through the grapevine that one of Pepper's previous puppies died last week after getting a heartworm shot - is very sad about that

RE: <--- watching the telly and thinking about your hol...

<-- is in a WRETCHED mood
<-- will be in the HH all day long and maybe overnight and tomorrow and crap all week

RE: <--- watching the telly and thinking about your hol...

<--Is LOL at Liann's promise.
<--Hopes she didn't just jinx herself terribly!
<--Used to whisper to DH in grocery stores, "Why don't those people control their kids!!??!!" when I'd see children running amuck and screaming at the top of their little lungs.
<--Now is one of those people with children running amuck and screaming loudly. (and sometimes, they scream very very inappropriate things about bodily functions to boot)
<--Gotta love karma
<--Hopes Amy feels better soon.
<--Sends hugs.

RE: <--- watching the telly and thinking about your hol...

<-- waves Good Afternoon
<-- just got asked to work 4 hours OT tomorrow morning
<-- x( :D is how I feel about it
<-- is glad it's a morning shift, kind of :p
<-- did indeed dodge the donuts today :D
<-- just decided to forget them this morning and it worked!
<-- will have to remember that tactic for next Monday
<-- licks stamp and slaps it on <-- forehead
<-- tells Nancy that <-- will meet her in Seattle
<-- hopes Amelia decideds to go to GTG!!
<--'s craving secret is to eat junk for months and months and then finally realize that it's wreacing havoc on <-- body and <-- needs to get eating act together or else will suffer many consequences ;) :7
<-- assures everyone that <-- still loves donuts though :9
<-- add cookies and cake to the list too
<-- hopes Emily is having fun with new retainer and lisp
<-- understands Liann's frustratioon with toddlers
<-- is    at said toddler's parents too
<-- shakes head in continued disbelief
<-- thinks Stephanie's Mother's Day card is soooo sweet
<-- sends lots of girl vibes to Stephanie's belly
<-- is very glad to hear that the horrible dog that attacked Carola is up to date on vaccinations
<-- is so sorry ^ went through such a scary thing
<-- wonders if Carola will press charges
<-- sends rum, donuts, and JD to HH for Ame
<-- will try to come up with something to work on to fill the last 1.75 hours at work
<-- bbl

RE: <--- watching the telly and thinking about your hol...

<-- finished the rum
<-- now demands something stronger
<-- also finished off JD for those who are interested in picking up his pieces

RE: <--- watching the telly and thinking about your hol...

<-- thanks Connie for her kind words
<-- is kind of torn about pressing charges
<-- one part just wants to make a point and send a message that dog owners CANNOT behave like that
<-- the other part thinks, I do NOT want to deal with a law suit, it will just take time away from what <-- needs to focus on and turn <-- negative
<-- is very aware of <--'s own shortcomings <-- should have NEVER EVER turned <--'s back on that dog BEFORE the dog submitted
<-- thinks <-- should be held to a higher standard due to dog training experience
<-- fact is, <-- made a mistake
<-- has originally never thought about pressing charges but <-- got calls from 3 lawyers today
<-- doesn't even know how in the world they found out about that, it hasn't been on the news so far - at least, not as far as <-- knows
<-- has heard that there is a good chance that the dog will be euthanized, <-- is not sure that sits right with <--
<-- thinks the owner should be feathered and tarred though :p and NEVER EVER be allowed to have another dog
<-- if that would be a possible outcome of a lawsuit <-- would definitely do it but will NOT do it for monetary damages and will NOT go through the aggrevations of a law suit

RE: <--- watching the telly and thinking about your hol...

<--is having trouble following along today
<--had a HORRIBLE night at work
<--'s patient died straight off the operating room table!x(
<--is still mentally exhausted from the effort to keep him alive!
<--is thinking about breaking habit and have some wine tonight instead of waiting until Thursday!
<--is going to wander off to find something to eat along with the wine.....

RE: <--- watching the telly and thinking about your hol...

<-- thinks Amy should have as much wine and rest as possible, as we need more folks like you and the only way we can get them is to treat you well
<-- is completely confused by the legal goings-on in Carola's corner of the world
<-- will stay out of that, though
<-- expects to be really stressed and grumpy all week, since results come in Friday night x( :-( x( :-( x(
<-- apologizes in advance and <-- thanks youse for all your support whatever the outcome

RE: <--- watching the telly and thinking about your hol...

<---is SOOO sorry about Amy's patient
<---thinks being a doctor or nurse would be very difficult :(
<---sends (((HUGS)))
<---is also totally in shock over Carola's incident
<---understands that Carola feels she should have known better, but the point is that the owner had no control of his dog, what if it had attacked a child who turned it's back on him? You wouldn't blame the child for not knowing better. That owner is to blame and the fact that he tried to run away from the incident makes him a piece of trash in <---'s mind
<---thinks Carola should stick it to him and if there is any kind of settlement, could always use it for some good cause if she didn't want to keep it
<---just got back from the Township meeting
<---says that they agreed it was stupid, but it is something we will have to work out with the lady
<---adds that if we have problems though, then they might have to help us work it out
<---hopes it doesn't come to that and we can get our chunk of our front yard back from the dumbarse :(
<---has to go get Cheyenne to stop antagonizing the piggies now (actually it's probably the other way around) ;)

RE: <--- watching the telly and thinking about your hol...

<---sends loads of hugs and support to Ame, come what may
<---sends another bagful of hugs to Amy
<---works in the lab so <--doesn't have to face days like Amy's
<---understands Carola's feeling about to sue or not to sue
<---feels badly that the dog has to suffer for his bad owner
<---hopes Stephanie gets a girl
<---but is sure all Stephanie really wants is a healthy child
<---whispers in Liann's ear that she doesn't have to have kids
<---doesn't think anyone should have children because it is the thing to do
<---also whispers that there are many times <--thinks she probably should not have had children
<---is just too selfish and self centered to be the kind of mom my kids deserved
<---is so thankful DH was there to help pick up my slack

RE: <--- watching the telly and thinking about your hol...

<-- WILL support Ame whatever the outcome is but is sure A. did terrific anyway!!!
<-- would love to hear Amy's advise on <--'s current situation
<-- totally appreciates Liann's kind word words and thinks L. has a valid point
<-- all is saying <-- is NOT a child, is a certified dog trainer, <-- should be held to a higher standard and should have NEVER EVER turned the back on the dog before he submitted
<-- he was barking and growling when <-- turned attention to the owner and got into a screaming match
<-- reacted out of anger, should NOT have done that
<-- thinks most dogs would have not done anything, heck, most dogs would have never even barked/growled for reprimanding them
<-- knowing that <-- should have NEVER turned
<-- while knows it is not dog typical behavior and should not have happened and dogs like that should not be released to the public because a child could get hurt, a child would NOT have reprimanded the dog
<-- DID and didn't follow through against better knowledge
<-- fact is 50 % was <--'s own screw up
<-- doesn't want to make apologies for owner and dog BUT is also VERY aware of own mistakes
<-- is having a VERY hard time with dog being euthanized although part agrees
<-- wants owner euthanized instead of dog - is of course kidding - well, sort of
<-- hopes you guys understand what <-- means
<-- is just very torn, angry and concerned but also mad at own stupidity - if that makes any sense

RE: <--- watching the telly and thinking about your hol...

<---asks Carola why the dog is being euthanized?
<---wonders if it has bit someone before?
<---wishes someone else could just take the dog away and work with him rather than just having him put down :/
<---sends Carola hugs
<---knows this has been very traumatic for her

RE: <--- watching the telly and thinking about your hol...

<-- promptly sends Carola to a private island and JD and let's see, hmm... some rum and very little else }(

RE: <--- watching the telly and thinking about your hol...

<-- packs suitcases to go to private island, thanks Ame
<-- will be downing the rum and anything else
<-- tells L. doesn't understand the whole scoop but <-- 's county has very strict laws when it comes to dogs
<-- always thought it has to be a second offense for the dog but doesn't get much info as it is
<-- understands that the judge has the final say on what happens with the dog but the judge will go with whatever the HS recommends, it sounds like HS had the dog in custody since early this morning
<-- is kind of PO about not getting any info
<-- BUT is pre-occupied with other things right now - like Pepper's puppy's death - cannot even think clearly right now
<-- is just sobbing
<-- apologizes for being such a wuss!!!!
