Hi Jonezie (Elizabeth), I am doing great and I hope you are too. It sure sounds it....your enery is contageous....love it
Regarding push ups (btw, you had me ROFLOL with your post)....I honestly don't remember if I started them on my knees or not....come to think of it, I don't remember much from my diaper days
But regardless, you can definitely get better at them and go from knees to toes, and then from your toes to more on your toes, and then from more on toes to one arm push ups even. Not saying you want to go there but it can happen if you work hard and give it time.
Work on your knees from all angles...incline decline, hands wide hands close. DO what you can and as many as you can. Do this for two weeks three times a week for 10 to 15 minute sessions (of course taking breaks in between here ).
Then start to do one push up on your toes. If it still doesn't happen, go to the half way down position and hold it there for 10 to 20 seconds for six sets before relaxing. Rest about 30 seconds between your sets. Do this 4Then try to do a push up on your toes again. If it still doesn't work go to the bottom of the push up position on your knees, then switch to your toes and push back up on your toes. Do 10 reps like this for 6 sets 4 times per week.
By then I am pretty sure you will do a push up on your toes....let me know when you get there...I want to here ok????
Good Luck!....oh and yes, sure just call a couple of days before I teach in Glassboro to make sure I didn't get a sub and come on down. We can work on your push ups together

Cathe! Cathe! (I'm jumping up and down excitedly in my living room...can you see me? Maybe if I put you on my TV screen?)
How are you in NJ today?
OK...question...I'm not sure if you saw my post on the pushups in STS (I just watched the first disk). But I'm AWFUL at pushups. I've been doing them for years but never feel stronger and usually get headaches or head pressure from doing them (Several posters thought I might be breathing incorrectly, which is so true).
I'd like to know...have you always been able to do a gazillion pushups with such perfect form? I can't imagine you EVER doing pushups from the knee, but would love to hear the story of how you worked up to straight-legged pushup perfection. Give it to me straight...did you come out of the womb that way? Able to do straight-legged pushups when you were just in diapers?
PS...how do you tell the woman who comes into your living room every day and has changed your life how much she means to you? I've got NOTHIN' but LOVE!
PSS...If we can't get to a RT but want to come to your gym in NJ, would that be ok?
Warmest,
Jonezie (Elizabeth)
