Wall Squats?

KLETCO

Is there anyone else with this problem? I work out in my unfinished basement. The walls are not solid, they are just the insulation (no drywall over them)... and frankly there is just no where down there with a real wall or anything solid/wall-like that I can do wall squats against. Should i just try doing them against the insulation?

Just a thought, but could you just install one 4x8 sheet of plywood or sheetrock up somewhere on a wall opposite your TV set up so you would be able to do these? That way it isn't too expensive (not sure what one sheet of plywood would be at Home Depot or Lowes) but would give you some place sturdy... Depending on the grade of plywood you would definately want to put a yoga mat or something over the top so that the rough texture would not puncture your ball... It's definately a fairly easy solution though if you have (or have access to) a truck, a screws/nails, screwdriver/hammer and some plywood :)

Good Luck!

Definetly do not do them against the insulation. The fiberglass will end up all over you and your ball. I think the poster above had a great idea with the plywood or drywall. You can measure and bring it to home depot and they will cut it for you. When you go ask for damaged wood or drywall it will be much cheaper!!

The plywood sound like a good suggestion. Could heavy duty plastic over the insulation work also???

No, plastic won't work. You need a solid, immovable surface, otherwise the ball will just settle into the soft surface and not roll.
