Video rotation

Cathlete
Cathe-
I have the Intensity & Body Blaster series and LOVE them. Do you have any suggestions for video rotation to get the most out of the combined tapes? I'm trying to get the most out of them but I'm a little overwhelmed figuring out which to add together. I usually work out 5-6 times/week and am looking to get a super toned and tight physique.
Can you help?
thanks!

Hi, I'm not Cathe, but I just started a rotation using the Intensity and Body Blast series that I made up myself. This is it. I'm hoping it works for me!!

Step, Jump & Pump - did on Thursday
Pyramid Lower Body - did yesterday
Kick, Punch & Crunch - Monday (I'm between 2 12 hour nights and don't typically schedule a workout after those!!)
Pyramid Upper Body - Wednesday (working Monday night)
Step Blast - Thursday
Muscle Endurance - Friday
Boot Camp - Monday (working the weekend again!)
Push Pull - Wednesday (working Monday night again!)
Cardio & Weights - Thursday
Super Sets - Friday
Imax2 - Monday (yep! you guessed it! working the weekend!)
Legs & Glutes - Wednesday (working Monday night)

Hi Carol -

I had a quick question about Bootcamp. I see that you did Bootcamp in between 2 weightlifting workouts. Is bootcamp considered pure cardio even though it has some weight lifting in it? Do you use lighter weights or the same that Cathe uses.

Thanks,
Diane

Diane I just saw your question, and I'm sorry I didn't answer before. When I do Boot Camp as a cardio workout, yes I just use lighter weights. When I do it as a cardio and weights workout, I go heavier. Also, I have since changed the rotation a bit, to make it more balanced. Also, because of my work schedule, I often have a couple of days off in between two workouts, so I can rotate with two strength training ones or two cardio ones in a row. Putting together this rotation with the tapes from these two series was a challenge for me, but a fun one! I'm also changing it around as I go because now that I've started doing workouts with my daughter when she gets home from school (not everyday though), I have to make sure I'm getting the proper rest time in between strength training. It's so wonderful that these workouts are so different from each other, and offer such flexibility and variety!!

Hi Carol -

Thanks for your response. I have seen several people label Bootcamp as cardio and was wondering why since it had weight work. I tried this video the other day for the first time and really loved it. I didn't have soreness the day after doing it, so I might try it with light weights in between heavy lifting days and see how that feels. I like the video so much, I want to do it all they time, but wanted to make sure it was safe first!

Thanks,
Diane

Carol-
Thanks for your input! I'm going to print out your schedule and see if this works for me. Somedays I feel like I finish a cardio and can move on to a weighted workout but I still haven't gotten through all the tapes yet since they just arrived last week. Here's what I've been following so far:
Fri - IMAX2
Sat - Kick, Punch & Crunch
Sun - rest
Mon - Supersets/ abs
Tues - Step, Jump & Pump (I really liked the cardio on that one)
Wed - Boot Camp & Lower Body Pyramid

My abs and triceps are really sore so I'm going to take it easy on upper body today.

Diane, I agree that sometimes it seems better to use lighter weights w/Boot Camp and keep the entire workout more cardio oriented, especially if its in between weight days!

I'll let you know how it goes...
Brenda
