Vibrams

Anyone use Vibrams during their Cathe workouts? If so, which model and why? I'm thinking of trying a pair of these. I have PF and I've heard that they help some people and unfortunately don't help others :-/ I figured they might be worth a try.

I do! I have a pair of KSOs and I use them for all of my workouts - weights, step, all those "she's trying to kill me" high intensity workouts.

I LOVE them.

I have wonky knees and I find I have less knee pain than when I used to wear standard shoes...I think the padding and the structure thows off my personal alignment.

I just turn the volume up so I can't hear the rice crispies and I'm good to go, LOL.

If you get them....just consider the model. Some are meant for outdoor, trail or street running and have quite a lot of grippiness. This probably isn't what you want for indoor workouts.

The bottoms of the KSOs are fairly smooth.

Word to the wise though....if you have really fat toes (I have mildly obese big toes.....) or if your second toe is longer than your big toe...these may not work for you.

I wear mine without socks but I know a few people who get the special socks with toes to wear with.

Good luck!

Story 1267, thanks for the reply. Just wanted to know if you workout on carpet? I will be and worry about slipping. I understand about not wanting to much grip though.

I workout on a wood floor but I don't think you'd have any issue at all slipping on carpet. The bottoms are made out of this material that has little micro slashes in it. They aren't slippery to begin with and the micro slashes would help with grippiness.

Have you been to their website? They're good about describing the different styles and what they're intended for.
