Variation on Vee's Thread: If You Could Interview...

Cathlete
...any three people, alive or dead, real or fictional, who would they be? Mine would be:

1) Jesus (get it straight from the horse's mouth, so to speak)
2) Thomas Jefferson (my current historical obsession)
3) Barak Obama (I have some questions. :D)

Anyone else want to play?

Sparrow

I'll play!

1) James Madison (I want some clarification on the Constitution)
2) George Clooney (I want to know what it'd take to convince him to marry me)
3) Bella Abzug (b/c I think she was really cool)

Hmmmmm, just 3?

1. Czar Nicholas
2. Henry VIII
3. My family roots are way back in Ireland, so I would say the person we could trace back the farthest - who that is I don't know.

I find old monarchs, lifestyles and such fascinating.

Nan

1. Definitely Jesus!
2. Abigail Adams -- she's my favorite First Lady and I admire her greatly. She sacrificed and endured so much -- I don't think old John would've made it if it weren't for Abigail!
3. Audrey Hepburn - I've always been fascinated by her, and I love most of her movies.

Apparently there is no one living I care to interview -- LOL!! Well, there is, but if I say Sean O'Malley everyone will roll their eyes at me. :p :D

1. Jesus, for sure. I want him to know what's going on down here...just in case he hasn't been paying attention. :p

2. Alexander the Great. This would be a tough interview for me, only because I'm fascinated by him and really don't have much in the way of questions. I'd sit across from him, smiling wordlessly, like a dork.

3. President Bush. I'd like to know some inside info (and there's always inside info) in case it might explain why he did certain things. Plus he seems like a great guy to talk to personally, which would be a bonus.

I want more interviews!

1. Buddha - my spiritual pick
2. Warren Buffet - my pick for a discussion on business
3. Vyatsyayana (author of the Kamasutra) to balance out the list

Jesus for sure. I would have a lot of questions! After that, I'm not sure I would need to ask anymore questions?

For good measure-
My grandma for old family recipes:D
Marilyn Monroe, beauty secrets!

Janis Joplin
Siegfried Sasson
Pete Seeger

I would also love the opportunity to see ask what Claus von Stauuffenberg thinks of that idiot fruit loop Tom Cruise portraying him in a movie. Poor man.

Beavs, Siegfried Sasson is one of my DH's favorite WWI poets! I bought him a copy of Counter Attack and Other Poems for Christmas one year (the 2nd printing from 1919 -- I couldn't afford the 1st edition). I'm telling you, my DH would LOVE you!! ;)

Heck...I'm stunned anyone knew who I was talking about. I would add Wilfred Owen to that list. It's comforting to know there are other weirdos out there! :D

Blagojevich: I want to hold him down, shave his head, and force him to resign... after I throw a shoe at him.
My late mother: Just so I could be with her again for a little while.
Late Actor, Edward G. Robinson (Emanuel Goldberg!): Before anyone really knew the value of Picasso, Matisse, and a whole host of artists now regarded as brilliant, Robinson bought their work because he LOVED it. He amassed a tremendous collection of some of the most incredible modern art ever made. At the time, he was able to buy these pieces because the art world disregarded the work as trash but HE saw and felt something, disregarding the negative chat. A good actor, sure, but a GREAT eye. I want to talk with him about what he felt about these pieces and how he was able to look deeper. I wouldn't ask him how he felt about having to sell it all to pay for his divorce and alimony...
