Updated STS Breakdown

Cathlete
Hi Cathe/SNM,

Now that you are ready to begin filming and I (and other's) are still cautiously holding back on putting forth the $$ from our budgets, can you please provide a complete and more detailed breakdown of STS that includes things like, pull-ups, when , where etc... which workout need what equipment, etc...

I know there have been random posts throughout the forum, but I'd like a formal response if possible so that I can make an educated decision on purchasing this program with all the detail up front.

Thanks!

Cathe/SNM
Also, you might have mentioned earlier and I might have missed it, but how long is each days workout? I like to push myself, but I have found out that if I try to push myself by using heavier weights or for lifting longer, I get really bad DOMS and just feel horrible and shaky the rest of the day, no matter how well I hydrate myself. I found out that I just can't do continuous lifting for more than 30 minutes.
Also, will the STS be available for download onto Apple TV?
Thanks
Eva

SNM have already stated that each workout will clock in at approximately just under an hour. Until they film and edit they cannot be more precise than that.

Clare

Yes, you are right. They have already answered these questions. With a little initiative and time you can find the answers for yourself.

You need all the equipment you have needed on recent Cathe weight training DVDs: step/bench with multiple risers, barbell with plates, dumbells in range of weight loads, maybe ankle weights, mat, weight training gloves if you like them, stability ball, resistance band, squat rack is optional as is pull up bar. SNM has stated that both squat rack and pull up bar can help with STS but they will also be offering alternative exercises for those of us at home who do not own them.

I do not see how SNM can give you extremely detailed information on exactly what exercise they will do, for how long, using what weight, etc. Take a look at the blog photos and the answers are there to see in approximate form. Until SNM films and edits, there are no guarantees on anything.

You seem to want some assurances that I am not sure anyone can possibly give you.

Clare

Clare,

1. My question was posted to SNM.

2. Yes, I want assurance, and SNM can provide that to a paying customer. It's called customer service.

3. Do you work for Cathe/SNM?

4. I find your replies snippy and condescending.

5. My time is limited and I do not live and breathe these forums 24/7 memorizing posts and blog entries. The purpose of this forum is for SNM to answer questions of potential STS customers. If I feel those questins have not been sufficiently answered, I have every right to ask for more detail prior to putting forth 200+ dollars.

6. That being said, I believe I've made my decision.

About 30-45 minutes would be better for me too although I LOVE Power Hour but that probably won't be as intense as these. However I hardly ever do it because I don't have that much time so the hour is a concern for me too. I have always counted on those premixes!

I would love to have these in an audio format for my ipod so I could do them without a TV or maybe break them up into half in the morning and half at night.

I've got a full bottle of Midol and a heating pad over here if anyone needs it! ;)

Seriously though, we are still in the preorder stage, so nothing is set in stone as far as the workouts. I'm sure Cathe will respond with a more detailed breakdown as soon as the workouts are filmed and being prepared to go to actual market. :)

p.s. With almost 2000 posts, I must really need a life, huh?

Gawd -- I'm such a loser :p

Kathy and Debbie, I apparently have a VERY BIG MOUTH -- LOL!!! I mean look at my post count -- and I've only been posting for a couple of years -- well, almost 3  :7

Yes, you have every right to ask questions. But I wonder why you ask questions again that have already been answered rather than reading around to find the answers for yourself and using your initiative. Don't they say keeping our brains challenged keeps us young? I would rather SNM spent their time on creating, filming and editing a superior product rather than wasting it answering questions they have already answered ad nauseum.

And, no, until filming and editing are complete, there are never any assurances, as SNM always tell us.

Great, you've made your decision!

Off to take my kids to the cinema now because, yes, I do have better things to do! Thanks for your concern.

<Gone where?>
To the inner sanctum of geekdom which is generally accomplished by asking detailed questions about upcoming series, mostly have which have already been answered by an earlier crop of impatient Cathe geeks (but the lure of geekdom attracts new members in waves, every fifteen to twenty five minutes). So please peeps, feel free to ask away, about what the DVD cases will look like, routine breakdowns, and whether or not the crew will be wearing their lucky underwears during filming (although you may not get an answer on that one)I know I for one, have found that this condition leads to the eventual stalking of the UPS man for reasons on than that he happens to uber HAWT! Enjoy ladies. And ask away...
