Update?

Hey Cathletes who enjoy little updates ... there's a little video today on Cathe's FB page with a little sneak peek.
She says she’s fine tuning the series. I’m hoping for late summer but won’t be surprised if it’s released in the fall. And that’s fine. I can work with any date, but I like to know the date, so I can plan rotations that complement what this series does. Now, I’m planning a more challenging rotation for September/October.

You're being more optimistic than I am :) . I don't really expect these until December - just like LMR1. She announced both series in February. Although she did say she already had some fun choreography planned prior to announcing this year and she already had the elevated series in mind, so it could be earlier. And hopefully they've worked out the kinks (Cathe said "hiccups") that delayed the editing, chaptering and authoring last year. If they come earlier, I'll probably use the timesaver premixes and bonuses as add-ons just as I did with LMR1 last December. Then I'll be reading everyone's reviews to see if a full Cathe LMR2 rotation will be something I might do in 2026 or I may just piece-meal them into my rotations as I do with LMR1. But I agree, it would be nice to know when these will realistically become available to us. And of course, when we can expect the bonus heavy weight workouts!

I'm busy planning out my rotations too, which I enjoy doing. I had already written out rotations for this summer/early fall, but I just ordered a whole bunch of new workouts from other instructors with the Memorial Day sales on other sites. I am looking forward to a summer of new workouts; although I'll keep Cathe's weight workouts in my monthly rotations as I think she offers the best strength workouts!

Wow! @snowlover IMHO that's not at all an appropriate response to someone merely asking a question. You think it's the customer's fault that NO updates were provided until the video posted in the last couple of days? Social media and/or phone usage is completely irrelevant, and nobody has been asking for "constant" updates. One every week or so would be okay with me, especially as it's been several months since the initial presale ended.

I was glad to see the video posted with a taste of what's to come!

yes, I know that Cathe is more often late than on time in releasing a new series. I just want more information. i have concerns about this series. i have made no secret of the fact I don’t need another recovery series. Asking for more information is not about wanting to play with my phone. LMR has a place, like returning from a layoff for whatever reason. I have been doing the STS2& LMR rotation, because with the amount of outdoor work I have right now, backing off a bit this spring feels right. That being said, I want to see how elevated it is. I purchased the series with doubts. I still have doubts. the heavy weights workouts are a big part of why I purchased this, along with the cardio. still, what is LMR2 going to be like?

I hope you, and others, get a response for an update on the bonuses and more developed descriptions of the workouts soon.

I have similiar concerns. I'm not thrilled with the animal moves and forward/back hopping I'm seeing for cardio moves & initially the bonus cardio was a selling point for me. I did check out a CL PHA with cardio Cathe has - it's like a 3-segment bootcamp so it could be a fun, intense cardio with weights, probably light weights due to the cardio factor. I'm curious about the flexibility workout. Mobility will probably be similar to what we've seen just in new arrangements. Same with Core work. Barre Bootcamp ... initially I was enthused but I wasn't thrilled with the LMR1 Barre Fusion which was bootcamp-ish, so maybe not. Balance work ... maybe ... but how different will it be - just rearranged again or eliminating the DipBar to elevate it? The Functional Weight workouts might be fine now that I'm mixing them in periodically with STS2.0 and other weight workouts. And when can we expect those bonus workouts and what kind of split will they be?

So lots of questions which may never be fully addressed until they're in our hands. But I know I could cancel and purchase the ones I'm most interested in later down the road when they're on the Deal of the Day. So that continues to be an option.

I just want to see/download those bonus heavy weight workouts. Under the impression they were offered to tie us over while we wait for the series to come out.

I'm happily plugging along with my modified XTrain rotation for now, though. It's feeling plenty interesting and varied for me, and since I'm coming off a period of lower activity, I'm enjoying experiencing the improvements in my strength and aerobic capabilities.

I'm thinking if this new series doesn't come out by the time I'm done with this rotation (early August), I will try an STS 2 with cardio rotation variation.

Of course, hoping to be able to plug in those heavy weight bonuses, at least...

Time will tell.

LOL! I know, when I saw that hopping up/back in that little video, I thought Oh No! :)
although she might show a modification of stepping up/back, like in one of the FitTower
workouts where she does something similar and that’s the modification she does in it.

I did think it would be easy to modify, but again I'm the one changing up a workout- geeeeez. Today I did KS's TimeSaver Cardio Fat-burning on VHS, so it's old --- but she had lots of modifiers. It did NOT detract from the workout at all IMO. I did all sorts of the variations and it made it a fun workout. (I think that's the name - so many of hers are similiar in name (usually "fat- burning" something - I guess that used to sell videos).

Yep, I think I remember that one! I love modifiers…:)….especially some that show a
couple different “levels”, (I guess you’d call it that) sometimes I follow one and try
another, etc.

Yup, she had low moderate and high in it & it seemed there were slight variations in each level. So someone's variation might catch my eye & i do it or my own variation of the variations lol.

One of my favorite KS workouts was her Lower body firming. Do you know the one I'm talking about? KS did the intermediate level and she had one doing advanced and another doing a beginner modification simultaneously... literally one of the best videos I've ever owned because the workout is fun and the modifiers are either fully viewable or the camera routinely returns to them and, you're right, it's not distracting at all.

I don't recall that one. Most of my older KS are cardio, altho i have the older 2 Secrets to a Great LB & UB VHS workouts in pile to be donated. I have the 2 LW2LW workouts, & the (somewhat more recent) 2 Ageless workouts & some circuits and step workouts.

The problem I have with Cathe's presales and particularly this one, is not only do you order a year before you get them, but she just had a knee replacement and stated she's ready to start filming. Really?? So she asks for what everyone wants and in one day she announced a LMR2. Hmmm. I don't think the majority wanted that, even if it's leveled up. I would have preferred a small package of strength, cardio/bodyweight, circuit style and fusion workouts with bonuses. Simple. 3 DVDs are plenty. Something for everyone. I also don't understand why you would start a presale before you are able to do the workouts.

I expected she would need a good 6 months recovery before she could even film. Why not wait and see how the recovery goes? I think she is still figuring out what she's going to do and I doubt she has started filming. I could be wrong. Anyway, I will wait and maybe pick up a few on the daily deals.

I agree. When I saw the sneak peak on FB, my thought was that this series remains in the design stage and is not near filming. And this is a large undertaking. I’d have been happy with the 4 cardio low impact workout.

Another interesting concept is Cathe could release the series components seperately throughout the year: weight workouts, fusion workouts, and cardio workouts. That way, it would keep Cathe on-track and be less overwhelming with the big production details like editing & authoring, etc. AND we'd get new workouts throughout the year! Pre-sales could be for each segment AND SHORTER! Then if people weren't interested in one or more segments, they could just get what they want.
