UPDATE on jaw pain...

I went to the urgent care place, and they did a stat cbc (blood count), and my white count was 14,000....so they said I had some type of infection, they tought maybe a tonsil absess....so they sent me to the Ear nose and throat doc......turns out I had a blocked and infected paratid gland (saliva gland). I was stopped up with a stone, and they numbed my mouth, and cut open the gland...and boy did it drain! I could open my mouth much better within 15 minutes. The swelling was keeping my jaw from opening. They put me on antibiotics, and are going to see me again this week. The only weird thing is I had a paradid cyst 6 years ago, on the outside of my face..which felt nothing like this...so they dont understand why I am having trouble with this gland, so they are going to do more tests...possibble sjorgen's syndrome...it attacks your glands that produce moisture (for eyes, vaginal,etc) who knows.....at least the pain is slowly going away!

I am glad you got to be seen and you are feeling better. Hope all the tests come back and nothing is wrong. Keep us updated on what you find out. Take is easy and take all your medicine like a good girl! LOL!

Glad you made it to the doc and tha you are doing better. I was thinking about you last night and hoping you were doing better. I am still new here and don't know many of you yet but I think you all are wonderful. Keep us updated!
