Update from ActiveYou re: new Oh My Bod outfits

Hi everybody!

Today I spoke to Sharon at Active You about the Oh My Bod outfits (red/black and turquoise/brown) that Cathe and crew are wearing in BodyMax 2 and Butts & Guts. I told her that I'd pass along an update to all of you, so that she isn't bombarded by phone calls and e-mails from all of us. :)

The short solid-colored sport bras and the fold-over waistband pants will be readily available in "Cathe's colors" in about two to three weeks, according to Sharon. They are brand-new styles and she's having to get them from Oh My Bod.

The longer tops with the horizontal band of contrasting color in both red/black and brown/turquoise were specially made for Cathe and the crew, and so far they're not a part of Oh My Bod's standard line. They will probably be added to the line soon, but in the meantime Sharon is calling Oh My Bod for us to see if she can get them made up in larger quantities so that we can buy them from her. Whee!

Sharon will be getting back to me via e-mail in a couple of days so that I can let everybody here know exactly what will be available, and so that we'll have a better idea of when. She asked that we be patient because of the Labor Day weekend. When styles become available, they will be added to the Active You website (http://www.active-you.com).

Last, GREAT NEWS -- Sharon WILL be giving a discount to Cathe's customers. She's working on pricing and discounting and I should have more news about that soon, too.

Just so you all know, Sharon's a one-woman shop so we all ought to bear that in mind in working with her -- everything will happen, but we'll all be standing in line, so to speak. I personally think it's worth it, because she's really likable and very easy to deal with. Most of her business is through trade shows and other high-volume scenarios like that, but she's very excited about having become a resource for Cathe, and she wanted me to tell everybody how much she's looking forward to putting us in some seriously cute new fitness clothes, too. :)

Thanks Kathy!!! I've met Sharon in person (at a trade show last March) and I agree with you- she's great!! A "little pipsqueak" of a woman, in that she'd fit right in with Cathe and her crew, LOL. (So would I, minus a few pounds!!!) It is important to keep in mind she stores her inventory in her garage and she has a young son as well. I'm glad to hear she's doing well and still associated with Cathe!!! :D

Hi Kathy!! So good to "see" you:7! Thanks so much for the update. I've met Sharon as well and she is just one of the warmest people I've ever met. She is FABULOUS to work with, knows her stuff inside out, and is always willing to go the extra mile to get what you're looking for. She's a true gem:)

Hi Debbie,
I'm not Anne but I thought I'd tell you what I know about these tops.:) I saw them a few months ago in a Nike catalog. I remember because I had thought about ordering them. Nike changes their tops with the seasons so they're no longer available through Nike but you may be able to find them through other vendors. Hi Sandy! Just sending a (((((((((((HUG)))))))))))! I lurk here every day, you know. But my crazy life has been so busy the past few months that I seem to use up all my online time READING posts, and don't have any time left to actually ANSWER! ;-) Great to hear from you!

That Sharon really does seem like a sweetie pie. She's a little bit frazzled about all this new Oh My Bod stuff because she doesn't have the stock to sell (or even firm answers about it) yet from the company, and she said she'd already gotten a dozen phone calls from Catheites. She wants to do it all exactly right, and be totally responsive, and we are a notoriously impatient crowd! But I'm with you, I think it's well worth hanging in there with Sharon -- she'll take good care of us! :)

I was going to give her a call but I think I'll wait a while before doing so as she seems to be inundated at the moment. Those tops that she doesn't have in stock yet are the ones that I want. Oh I have to say I met her son a few times and he is ADORABLE!! Her DH is very nice as well, they're a great family:) :)!

Thanks for asking about DS (a/k/a/ Mr. Visa Card :) --- no comments, Soooooooooooosan!!)

If aliens were looking at our culture and trying to figure out where, exactly, "heaven" is, all I can tell you is that if they happened to spy on my son, they'd conclude that the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is heaven. ;-) Last fall was a tough adjustment for him, but by January he was in his groove and had assembled a "posse" of pals, in the spring he met his truly adorable girlfriend, and this fall is 180 degrees removed from last year. He could not WAIT to get back to school and is just as happy as a clam in the sand. He's going to be studying in Barcelona this spring, which of course he's totally psyched about, but for right now he is soaking up life in a great college town, loving his classes, having a great time with his friends, enjoying (yikes!) his cutie-pie girlfriend, and rock-climbing with the Carolina Outing Club every weekend. All, I might add, courtesy of the checkbook of the old "Parental Units" (although we really can't complain because he's a pretty frugal guy.) Life's pretty darned good.

I wanna go back to college. As my kid. ;-)
