I get really excited about new appliances , I just caught myself staring at my new oven and admiring it! And I'm also in love with my Roomba and my steam mop!!! Good grief, I really should get a life!

YOU have a roomba?!?!? I've always wanted to try one of those things!!! I vacuum every single day so I would be in heaven with that little guy!! I would love a new fridge...I would just sit & stare at that too!!.

Guess I'm gettingold too

We got a new vacuum right before Christmas & EVERYONE wanted to use for about the 1st 2 days untilt eh novelty wore off. Now it's just me & my Kenmore......:(

About that steam mop...

I must not have much of a life either because I want to hear about the steam mop! What brand? I have hardwood floors and wood laminate (in the basement and fitness center). I have researched steam mops but seen such mixed reviews. Do tell!

Okay, here's an appliance that I love, love, love: My clothing steamer. I sprung for one of those Jiffy steamers and I have to say that I am thrilled with what a good job it does!

I hate my oven, dishwasher, and vacuum cleaner, though! They all do an awful job, but who wants to replace that many appliances at once?

I gave my roomba to my sister -- we had too many cords and other things in the way that made it ineffective.

I love my dishwasher! It's Miele, and it has three racks -- the top one is very skinny and just for flatware and very small items. That dishwasher holds sooooooo much! I don't know the model number off-hand, but if anyone is interested, pm me and I'll get it for you.

LOL!

That reminds me of the woman on a commercial dressed in red and moaning with her hands on the pair of red washer and dryer. That was weird, LOL.;)

I too have a Roomba, love it. The first time I turned it on I followed it all around, it was so cute. Now I want a Scooba too.

I really love the Roomba since I am a chronic(daily) vacuumer and it does such a good job I havn't pulled out the big vac since before xmas! I t vacuums under the bed ,the furniture even does the vinyl floor and docks itself when its battery runs low. I turn it on, go downstairs workout and when I come back up my whole ground floor is spotless! Love it!

My steam mop I ordered online (H2O mop) after I saw the infomercial , although I think that the Shark steam mop would be just as good and you can get that at Target I think. It does a great job on my floors is quick and you can even steam your carpet. And there are no chemicals jusy water!

I want a steam mop!

We removed all the carpet on our first floor (for our fur kids), and replaced it with ceramic. I saw the steam mop at Costco and wasn't sure.

I love my Roomba too and got excited because I finally ordered the replacement brushes! They have a new model out for pet owners - I found myself drooling over it. I started feeling old when I got excited to go to Home Depot. I was 30 then.

My Roomba is named Murphy, after Robocop

Gosh, everything I've read about the roomba said it wasn't worth the money and now there are several of you in love with it. I have hardwoods on my main floor and I sweep them (with a yarn flat broom) several times a day. It's mostly just the kitchen and casual eating area. The only furniture is the table and chairs. If I could just set off the roomba each day, that would be better. Is it worth a try????

I just got a new front load washer and dryer today and told the delivery guy "you know it's sad when a new washer/dryer makes your day". Then my DD and I proceded to sit on the floor and watch the washer wash, pathetic, uh? (but I love it) :)

We named our GPS too, "b*tchin' betty"! My husband regretted the name though once DD (age 12) and DS (age 10) started calling it that too. DH is also in love with our new vacuum. We bought a Dyson a few months back and he's now my official vacuumer. I think he likes "seeing" how much dirt that darn thing picks up every week. Makes me think I'm a bad housekeeper! :(

I've been wanting a front-load washer with a window for years just so I can sit and watch the clothes getting clean!

I still have my very first washer and dryer and everytime I do laundry I am completely thankful that I get to use my very own instead of having to go to a laundromat.
I do not need a roomba since my husband vaccuums :D

I had wanted a Dyson; DH said that they're overrated. Okay, here's my vacuum story: DH bought the Consumer Reports Top-Rated vacuum cleaner (a Kenmore). It broke within a ridiculously short period of time, so I complained about it and he said he'd take care of it ...

He bought a second vacuum -- the exact same make and model as the broken one. Guess what? It broke within a shockingly short period of time, too! So now we have two identical broken vacuum cleaners.

I want a Dyson.

Kathryn,

I have owned several different vacuum cleaners in my life. I'm very abusive to them:eek: I have a central vac system in my house on top of owning several push vacuums.
Sorry to tell you this, the Dyson is by far THE BEST vacuum I've ever owned.

I wanted to add...I've owned my dyson(animal) for 2 years

I'm so glad to see I'm not alone. I was hoping for a new vaccuum for Christmas, and I had a brief moment of "wow, you know your getting old when you want a cleaning device for a gift". My DH surprised me with 4DS this Xmas, and I've got to say it way more fun than a vaccuum!:D
