Ultimate Christmas present?

What was your ultimate Christmas present? What would be your ultimate Christmas present?

My ultimate Christmas present was horse back riding lesson when I was 17. I cried like a baby.
The ultimate would be a Friesian horse.

as i have gotten older i am not the one for presents i prefer to do for the kids and bake for friends. i like doing things to get me in the spirit.it would be nice for dh to stop buying me stuff and maybe make a larger donation to charity for less fortunate or veterans. i know how to shop for myself and when he tries he falls short(ie-carmen electra workout videos, i can't get rid of them b/c i don't want to hurt his feelings :( ). but having him understand why those charities are important to me would be a nice present.

however when i was younger, getting jem dolls and barbie horse, house, any new thing for barbie, were my ultimate wishes. my step mom tried to get me a camera even though i wanted barbies and coloring books. she just never got me i guess LOL. i was never one for over the top things aside from a cd player and cds.

O.k., this is going to sound so silly, but this year all I want is a clap pad to go on my Wavemaster. Everytime I go to buy one of these things I back out because I just can't see paying $80 for them. I'm not cheap, but I am smart with my money and these things aren't worth more than about $30 but they go for $80 to $100! Isn't that silly? I keep telling myself to just go ahead and buy the dang thing, but that price! I just can't do it.

Great thread! My best Christmas present was tap shoes and a porcelain doll.
Ultimate would be an all expenses paid education at the Cordon Bleu in Paris.

DeeDee,
What is a clap pad? Sounds interesting.

Kassia,
That is awesome that you give. It does feel so good. I love to donate physical labor. I can do construction work so I mudded my moms laundry room for free last week. Lately people have been giving to me. Not so bad! My neighbor gave me an awesome double oven. I have the best neighbors. They rock.

Rapid Breath,
Let me know what Paris is like if you ever go or maybe you have already been. I've never been outside of America.

The best gift I ever received was from my dh (actually an anniversary gift - Valentines day) We have a pond out back of our house. One yr on our anniversary he went out there (very cold that day mind you) & shoveled & swept off a good portion of it so I could ice skate, I LOVE to ice skate!! :D
He had aslo bought me a number of different things that yr but I will always remeber his act of love for me!!

When I was a kid, my Dad brought home a huge box and put it near the tree. It was taller than the Christmas tree! All 6 kids had to write on the box what we thought was inside and whoever guessed it got to keep the present!

I guessed it correctly and got it!! It was a huge stocking filled with small and medium gifts! I ended up sharing them with all of my siblings, but I won!! It was so exciting, mostly because we had to wait so long to open the gift!!

Hands down, the bike with the banana seat and the white basket. And the basket had a flower on it...stunning. And my dad gave me a phone. I felt so grown up...Off to college with my own phone in 1980.

Very fun questions!
