UGGG!...this heat wave

I walk everywhere - and I mean everywhere. I don't have a car, don't take public transit or cabs. I live in Ontario, and we have had a brutal winter this year. I usually like winter, but I have had enough. I'm gonna start sending threatening letters to Mother Nature soon, to be shortly followed by pipe bombs and giving Jehovah's Witnesses her home address.

I'm so desperate for spring and warm temps that I am insanely jealous of you and your 80 degree weather. I hate winter and this one has been long! I've been seriously thinking about moving further south.

What's with the snakes and scorpions though? Do you really have to deal with those up close and personal? Yuck!

My BIL lives in AZ and has found scorpions in his garage and snakes in his pool.

No thanks. I'll take 6" of snow and single digit temps any day!

Hang in there! :) It'll be over soon.

As far as the snakes and scorpions, yeah, they're a part of my daily life here during the summer. You always have to be on watch for them. I saw several snakes last summer (some of them on my front porch:eek:) I can handle the bull and king snakes. It's the rattlesnakes that freak me out. Scorpions can get in our house so we have to have it sprayed every month but some still get in (they're really hard to kill with pesticides). A couple of years ago my DD (who was 2 at the time) stepped on one with her bare feet and it stung her toe. Not a good thing:(.

I am in South Texas and we hit 94 the last week of February.
I am a snow bunny that was born in the wrong state.
I cannot wait to move.
Also, we've not had any rain (that really counts) for 8 months.
I see a lot of brown in our future and not any green at this rate . . . it looks like we're going straight to summer 1 -we have 3 summers in South texas ;)
