TV shows I will never watch

And please don't be offended if you're a fan of any of them. Feel free to post yours, I won't be offended if I'm a fan. I watch an awful lot of garbage.

But I do draw the line somewhere, so here are some shows I wouldn't watch even if they were the only shows on TV:

--Billy the Exterminator (I have a bug phobia, I'm pretty sure this one would give me nightmares)
--Ice Road Truckers (why is this on the history channel anyway? It's not history.........)
--Any TLC or Discovery show about babies--they're either about babies born connected at the head, or born with severe deformities, or women who got pregnant while they were in a coma, or women who gave birth without even knowing they were pregnant...........isn't life sad enough already?
--Any TLC or Discovery show about 850 pound men or women
--When Animals Attack--why would anyone want to watch that?
--Tosh.O--no explanation needed
--Anything on Fox news--no explanation needed
--Plastic Surgery Gone Bad--no explanation needed

Fun thread! I also watch waaaay too much garbage... Here's all I can think of at the moment:

..Whale Wars (I'm all for saving whales, but why the violence?)
..Operation Repo (just a bunch of foul-mouths fist-fighting constantly)
..Dirty Jobs (I tried watching a couple times and got grossed-out)
..as much as I love reality shows...I won't watch those shows that involve
a bunch of weirdos living in one house and fighting all the time
..Laura, I'm with ya on Fox News...
..I also dislike all the Cops shows,(how many ways can you see someone get arrested?) but DH likes them so I will sit through them occasionally until my brain explodes

I'm sure there are more, but right now I'm just thinking of all the shows I do like, and there are too many!!!

America's Got "x" (anything, at all, I don't care)
American Idol
Jersey Shore (is that that title?)
Desperate Houswives (or any of the housewives shows)

Really, most things on network television at this point.
Now that Lost and 24 are off the air, I'm pretty much only watching FX.

soap operas
contest shows (American Idol, DWTS, Biggest Loser, Amazing Race, Miss America)
morning talk shows (Today, The View, Regis & Kelly, etc.)
afternoon talk shows too (Oprah, Dr. Phil, etc.)
divorce court/small claims court shows
news channels (I get my news from the Websites of various newspapers)
Kate Plus Eight (no explanation needed!)

Most TV is a waste of time.

Among the especially abhorent we find Fox News, never an explanation required, Reality TV of ANY KIND (I already live daily life, I'm not interested in the daily life of anyone I do not personally know, it is not entertaining or instructional, unless in a "don't ever do this at home folks" way) and any sport except Olympics and World Cup for soccer coverage.

If all TV stopped tomorrow, I would survive because books are just the greatest thing: travel through the world of language, ideas and the imagination......

24!!! Hate, hate, hate that show!
Survivor and most any other reality shows (notice I said most!)
Fox News, CNN, Today Show, Good Morning America (all fluff and no substance and very one sided)
Anything on the CW network!


You know, I don't watch regular tv anymore, so can't remember what's on! Anyway, these are my top ones!

Anything on day time. Even though I work at home, the earliest the T.V. comes on is 4:30 p.m., and that's only because DH likes to watch Jeopardy, when that's over it get turns off until after dinner.

Fox News.

All reality shows and contest shows - unless my dear friend ever manages to get on The Amazing Race, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen.

All sports with the exception of World Cup Soccer. DH watches Football but I completely tune it out.

Commercials! We DVR everything and always fast forward through them or at the very least mute them.

Any tv series with a back story that is preaching either left or right wing dogma. I watch tv to be entertained, not to be preached to.

Any reality show that is based upon the greed, immaturity and lack of personal responsibility of people.
