Tummy Tuck after 4 children?!!!!!

Hi I've never posted before but I've been with Cathe for a year. Anyways Iam seriously considering a Tummy Tuck because if one can't get their stomach down with Cathe, it's hopless. My stomach kind of drapes over my underwear (it's the stretched skin)it's so frustrating. When I talk about it with other people, they say "Just do more cardio or just do more crunches" well I'm here to tell you that there is nothing you can do with the skin and the stretch marks. If there is anyone out there that can relate or have had the procedure done I would like to hear from you. Thanks in advance, Miss Mare :-(

I think if it is really important to you and would make you feel better about your body, you should do it. I know I will never have a stomach like Cathe's and that's ok (though it's the only part of my body I hate!) Anyway, should you decide to do it, make sure you get a doctor who has performed many surgeries and is board certified and check everything out very thouroughly! There's nothing wrong with cosmetic surgery as long as you are healthy. But be careful. There are horror stories and it's surgery. Find out everything you can, then decide. Good luck!

Hi Miss Mare,

I think that if you want to do it, go for it. My aerobic instructor at the gym had the same problem as you, the loose skin from 4 children and she had a tummy tuck. She was extremely happy she did it. I agree with Bobbi that you should do some research into it and if you still feel comfortable with it then go for it.

why don't you ask Sheila and the other mothers on pregancy forum here--they might be able to give advice we can't.

My last pregnancy resulted in twins and several weeks after giving birth I required emergency surgery which pretty much left me with a horrendously stretched-out stomach that no matter what I did, it just wouldn't go down - well after getting serious with exercise this past year (prior to this, I hadn't worked out in almost two years),I am pleased to say that I have noted a drastic improvement. I don't know if I will ever have the flat stomach I once had, but I will keep up with my exercising and hopefully will have additional improvement.

Good luck to in whatever decision you make!!!

I have had liposuction done on my lower abs and have to say that it was the best thing I've ever done! Always had a belly very resistant to diet & exercise so 2 years after my daughter was born I decided to go for it!!! Although I have excellent skin elasticity I did not have to get a tummy tuck but realize whatever procedure you decide is right for you is to have a good surgeon! Do your research!!!
