A new week! Let's all feel great!
Personally, I am sick of feeling sick!
Mind over matter, right?

I just had lunch so some evergy should be kicking in and the nausea should settle for a while. I'm going to really enjoy the next couple hours and try hard to get some much-needed housework done.

How about you? How is your day today?

Kate - That sounds like such a great plan!!! Last night was much better for me.

I only got in 3 workouts last week due to all the nausea. I'm hoping to workout today after brunch.

Lisa

Hi all,
I third that on the feeling well, eating and exercising! Gave my knees a break this weekend and did Low Max and GS Arms yesterday and an hour long walk outside today. Trying to get the inflammation down, since I can't take anything. Had acupuncture on Saturday, which helped a lot already.

Lisa - Glad you feeling a bit better!

Hi Kate - Nice job on the workouts! Did you have a nice weekend?

Hi Morris - How are you? I hope your family is doing o.k. with the parents situation and all.

Hi Melanie! Did you ever sell your house?

Nothing new here. Just trying to get a lot of cleaning done today. I seem to be stressing about a lot of clutter. My last two pregnancies made me nervous too, like I've got too much crap in the house. Feeling really good so far, so of course a bit nervous about that, but I don't want to wish for the nausea you all have had either, but a little bit might make me 'feel more pregnant'.

Happy Sunday!

I have yet to pull my lazy, nauseous arse off the chair. I thought I was getting past this but its worse than ever right now. I wanted to get so much done today, and now - nothing. I'm trying to keep a good attitiude about it - I'm resting to take care of my baby - but its hard. I'm very frustrated. I'm only 8 weeks and have a long ways to go. Sorry to drone on. And here I was the one to post to keep a good attitude - jeez!

-------------------------------------------------------------------
Anne, my nausea hit me like a ton of bricks at 6 weeks. I sure don't wish it on you, but it does seem to confirm that things are progressing. I hope so much for you that this will be the one to go full-term.

I can feel my uterus on the sides. It gets achey throughout the day.
And MY BOOBS! Oh my word! They feel like I need to nurse a baby! Is anyone else getting this? They are so heavy and thick. I saw my SIL's baby this AM and my nipples got all tingly like my milk was about to spill! LOL and gross! I do not remember this happening with my other 2 pgs.

DH is making "dinner" - a hodge podge of miscellaneous food. It smells revolting. I know if I ate I would feel better but everything sounds disgusting.

I hope you all have a good night and a great week ahead!

Just a quick hello. I enjoy lurking around here. ;) Anne, I haven't sold my house yet. :( It's been on the market 9 months, we're praying or an early Spring sale. Thanks for asking. BTW, you need to update your signature to boost your pregnancy. :D :D

I had really bad heartburn last week, followed by my heaviest period EVER. I had to change my super plus tampon every 90 minutes, and even soaked pantiliners. Yuk. It reminded my of my 1st trimester of pg (the heartburn, fatigue,etc... Ha Ha. I"m glad I'm back to myself today,...don't think I could handle 12 weeks of that right now. ;) I'll just sit back and enjoy all YOUR pregnancies for now. ;)

Hello Melanie! Sorry about your troubles with your monthy un-friend. My SIL named Melanie had her 2nd baby in January. Her period came back when her baby was 6 weeks old AND she was nursing full-time. How unfair is that!!!? That happened with her first too.

Yes, Anne! Get that pregnancy on there, girl! You deserve it! Bold it and color it!!

Hi Everyone,
I am with you on the nausea;( . I have yet to throw up, but I think this is worse because it just lingers. It happens at all times of the day, and is the worst when I am hungry. My DH made beef casserole tonight, and I ate it, but...x( . This pregnancy is so strange because I will crave something one day, and then I will be repulsed by the same thing a day later??? I am trying to exercise daily (or almost daily), usually at night. Yesterday, I TJ Cardio Party, and tonight I plan to do a lower body weight workout (not sure which one yet).
Have a super Monday, and let this be the last day of nausea for all of us!

Oh, Kate, yes my boobs feel like they weigh about 10 pounds each. They just ballooned this past week, and they are spilling over my bra. It's so funny, when I take my bra off, they just stand up-right (they don't even sag-that's how full they are). Too bad, it all goes south after having the baby/breastfeeding. I need to get some new bras ASAP. I am in that "in-between" stage where maternity clothes are too big yet, but regular clothes are tight.

Not only are my boobs full of stretch marks, but they are now smaller than ever, about a B minus (a D plus when nursing). I imagine my grandma has boobs like mine, all saggy and such. Ahhhhh, the joys of nursing 3 babies..... Poor DH!!!!!! :D :D

Jen, I'm with you on the cravings/repulsions! I'm jealous you're working out - I am in my chair pretty much unable to move. Dh has been sweet and helpful with the girls but my house is a mess!! He tries hard, but.... Funny on the boobs! I'm a barely B normally (was a DD while nursing!!), a full B now, C is around the corner. yay!!!

Melanie, Sorry for your lack of mammaries too!:+ Poor DH is right! LOL! My boobs look like what I remember my moms looking like when I was little and I was HORRIFIED! I try not to let my girls see me naked - I don't want them scared their boobs will look like that too!

We have beautiful spring weather here! I took a rest week last week because my knee needed it. I do this every 8 to 9 weeks. So no workouts to report. My knee is feeling pretty normal though, but I'm going to take it easy for a couple of weeks. I have to remember that all the extra weight I'm carrying is not good for the joints. I feel much less nauseous, but hungry all the time. And I've had terrible insomnia--another joy of pregnancy for me--happens everytime, but not usually so early. I still have not felt the baby move, so I'm a little nervous about that, not that that helps if anything is wrong.

Lisa--I'm so sorry you are feeling so sick. Does anything sound good? Anything at all? Just take care of yourself as much as you can and don't worry about workouts now. You are in survival mode.

Kate--the birthing center sounds really nice. And I'm with you on the boobs--mine are swollen, tender, and feel like they are getting larger by the day. I don't remember having soreness like this before this pregnancy. I may have to buy some really comfy supportive bras. I'm feeling like char-woman (Monty Python)

Morris--have a fun weekend!

Anne--I'm struggling with knee issues too. I hope yours feel better soon. I actually took last week off to let them rest.

Melanie--Praying that your house sells. Is the housing market in your area depressed? or are you just having trouble with your home? I know 3 people who are trying to sell homes in OR/WA and the market is really slow. Hang in there.

Jen--that in between stage is so awkward. I'm sad to be gaining so fast, but glad to have a preggy belly--that way I won't just look fat. I'm sorry you feel sick.

Hi Kristan! Hi Autumn! I hope I didn't forget anyone.

Talk to you later!

Hi; not much to post. Some virus has knocked me on my behind today. Slept all day and haven't had a thing to eat. I had planned a long run for this morning but that didn't happen. Just 3 workouts last week, but they were pretty good:

M: short run/time at gym followed by legs only of Drill Max and Low impact circuit
W: 1 mile swim
F: cardio and weights

I have a lot of money counting to do this week- I need to get all of our tax stuff to the accountant and I need to add up and deposit all the money for my daughter's brownie troop cookie sale. I must look like a drug dealer or bookie counting up all that money in my kitchen.

Kate - LOL about the boobs! I totally know what you're talking about!

Hi Melanie!!! I hope your house sells soon also because I know it's been awhile. How is work going? Are you still pulling long shifts and long drives?

Anne - I think it's still early for you to feel nauseaus if you're going to even get it, but I didn't get much nausea with my first two pregnancies at all. With my pg with ds, I just stopped taking my prenatals because they would make me sick and the ob said it was fine. I didn't feel nauseaus at all with dd's pg until 10-11 weeks and that was due to an untreated bladder infection. So go figure.

Morris - Hope you're enjoying your trip.

Kristan - Hope you feel better soon.

Jen - You sound just like me regarding the nausea/appetite cycle. It's horrible isn't it?

Maggie - Hope the knees do better after your rest week.

The wedding went great last night. I felt great and woke up feeling decent, but then ended up dry heaving right before leaving for brunch. I wasn't able to enjoy brunch because nothing tasted good and it seemed like everything made me want to barf. Came home and slept it off. Seems like sleeping helps, but as soon as I get up I feel like I could throw up any moment. Even as I type I feel pretty yucky. Can't wait for the 2nd trimester.

Lisa

Maggie - The spring weather perks you up, doesn't it? Hope your knees got the rest they needed. Hope you can get some good sleep this week. Do you lay awake thinking baby things or everything? How much weight have you gained so far? When did you start to wear maternity clothes? I really want to wear some but they'd all be too big so far (only 8 wks. along).

Kristan, the Druggie!: Glad you were able to get some exercising in. I think I did 3 last week too. Hopefully some this week. Sorry you aren't feeling too swell.

Lisa, You just reminded me to take my vits! Glad the wedding went well and that you at lesat made it thru DH's brunch. I'm with you on the sleeping/nausea.

This AM I made my breakfast (egg whites, salsa, toast, fruit), ate half of it and threw it up. THis is actually GREAT - the 1st time I've been able to puke. I can't say I enjoy puking but I do feel better afterwards. I called DH and had him take Gina to school for me and he took Isabel to the office with him and his mom will watch her. (our main office is in his parents basement). I just did not want to drive this AM. I should get going and get some paperwork done while I'm kid-free. I really just want to nap though..........

hello, everyone---I happened to check out your check in this morning and just had to comment on how jealous I am about the swollen breasts! :) I'm a AA cup and have noticed only a teensie bit of a size increase..definitely have the tenderness but would love to have some size!

I'm not holding my breath on ever getting to even an A during the pregnancy. Unfortunately, I won't have them after delivery, as I don't anticipate being able to breastfeed, due to my rheumatoid arthritis meds. x( Does that mean I'll at least not have to deal with the stretched out, saggy breast tissue? ;-)

Anyway, just wanted to pop in quick. I hope everyone begins to feel better soon! I started feeling a little less awful last week. I have my second dr. appt. tomorrow and will feel so much better once I see that heartbeat!

lisa

hi everyone

hppy monday! i really do not care for daylight savings time!!!

well, so sorry do many of you feel gross. i empathize. hoping the nausea passes quickly, but glad everyone is pregnant.

kate, sorry for the morning puke. but salsa and eggs? kind of turns my stomach too;-)

lisa, hope your nausea passes soon. how was the wedding?

jen, great workouts! how far alaong are you now?

anne, glad you are feeling it a bit, though i know it isn't fun. when is your next appointment?

hi maggie - sounds like your rest week was successful. i know what you mean about hunger. last night i swear i could have eating chinese, pastry, and cake. i managed with plain chicken breast and cauliflower though. yuck!

kristan, sorry for the virus. hopw you bounce back quickly. are you swimming more this week?

our trip was actually really fun but truly exhausting. ds loved the adventure - planes, busses and taxis all made him happy. i did not sleep at all saturday night b/c of the hotel but i cought up a bit last night and still pulled off an early am long run. i was surpried b/c i had done bm2 scrambled and low max blast only on sunday late afternoon, so i kind of thought my legs would not serve me this morning. but, each mile got better and better. i am thinking my running days are dwindling though as i am 25 weeks now. kristan, how long did you run with your previous pregnancies?

my family is still in disaster mode, and i am quite sad. being busy helps, and i definately have my ups and downs.

that is it for my book for now, but i will bbl.

LisaMarie - Glad you're starting to feel better. Unfortunately the sagginess is a result of pregnancy, not nursing. You're gonna get 'em too!! Though maybe not being a AA! Let us know how the dr appt goes tomorrow! Wishing a helathy, strong, LOUD heartbeat!

Morris, It's hard to put the girls to bed when its still light out! I know Gina stayed up reading in bed. Oh well. Eggs and salsa is one of my favorite meals!! Glad you had a good trip - sounds tiring, esp at 25 weeks! You're almost to trimester 3!! Awesome workouts!!! All of us early/sick preggers are jealous of your w/o's!!! Hopefully soon I'll be able to get back at it. Are your folks fighting a lot or are they keeping it peaceful? Hope you have a good day.

hi kate - i think i will try the salsa on my eggs tomorrow. nearly every day this pregnancy i have ahd a scrambled egg white on a low carb tortilla with a piece of cheese. i'll let you know how it goes down. i am sure you will be getting back to your workouts soon. can you walk at all? walking outside can be so nice when you feel gross.

my folks definately can fight - anger is a big issue. right now it is my mom's saddness that eats at me. she called me last night at 8:30pm which is very late for her and was weepy and so sad saying she didn't want to be alone and missed my father and wished he didn't hate her. left me in tears. i checked on her this am and she sounded just as bad - normally she is better after a good sleep. issues run very deep - almost a very late mid life crisis. i don't know what to do. you hate to see someone hurting and not be able to help. and i know there is nothing i can do except listen. sorry - tmi i know, but it is weighing heavily on my mind today. i think i will finish my work and get some weights in before ds is up from his nap - may distract me more than my box of girl scout cookies!

Morris, I'm sorry - you said something about Girl Scout cookies and I completely lost my train of thought....:)

Salsa on eggs is delicious! I use 1 egg and add 2 whites. I usually add a large handful of fresh cut-up veggies but that settles AWFUL right now. Let me know how you like it. I think salsa is good on just about anything. I use it in place of salad dressing too. I would love to walk outside but its FREEZING here! Its supposed to warm up to a balmy 40 later this week - maybe then.

So sorry about your mom. How hard. Don't worry about TMI - if you saw what my other check-in buddies and I said...we make truck drivers blush! I hope everything goes smoothly. You want to be there for your parents, but you hate to know all of the nitty-gritty stuff.

Hope you get a good lifting session in.

(((big hug)))
