TTC/Preg Check in Week of Oct 26th

Where did everyone go? I"m pretty lazy today. I was so exhausted last night when I got home. All my boys were sleeping, and after a long week of work, I collapsed on my bed & cried. I cried b/c I missed my boys and I felt like a missed an entire day of their lives...that I can never get back. :( I"m so emotional now-a-days.

On a good note, I paid off DH's eye surgery today!! Yes!!!!! That was a $200/month bill. Just one day closer to working less hours. I should get my sign on bonus mid-November, and I'm seriously considering dropping all/most of my "extra" days in town.

I carved pumpkins with the kids this afternoon & doing my laundry. No workout, but body needs rest.

Jen #2, looking forward to Despiriate Housewives tonight? I've never taken the diabetes test when pg. I refused them, figuring I"m at such a low risk. I"m so naughty!! How is your foot feeling? Did you get Tracey's new DVD?

Jen #3, did AF come? How many children do you have?

Lisa, are you doing some serious nesting?

Jessica, are your headaches getting better? I cannot imagine having continuous HAs. My mom gets them pretty regularly. Do you vomit w/your HAs? BTW, I've taken my boys with me for many appts---including paps. It's not ideal...but we have no family around. We're pretty self-sufficient. Congrats on the HB....that's so exciting!!!

Krillie, I also get in certain moods (ie sick of step or kickboxing,...). Where are you in your cycle?

Okay, I best get going...sounds like the kids may be strangling each other!!!!!

Hi Melanie,
Im here! it seems like everyone else posts at the post partum check in now. I miss the crew! Time sure does fly..pretty soon it will be me. I cant beleive i'm going on 24 weeks already

YES i am looking forward to housewives!!! Dh works tonite, as usual. So its just me and my little pookie bear (my cute little doggie). She loves her momma! This episode is supposed to be good - they are showing what happened during the five year jump from last season to this season. Can't wait!

Sorry you are emotional. I am missing my DH a lot. He worked all weekend and when im off it just gets lonely. So i went and did more baby shopping and used the money my mom gave me toward more baby items.

Today i cooked lasagna for tomorrow nite, i just have to pop it in the oven. And i tried a new cranberry cake recipe. its delicious - but tart and very sweet. Yesterday i did 2 loads of laundry and organized the hall closet to make space for baby items.

I also did Gym Style Tri's/Chest and Gym Style legs yesterday. The weight lifting actually helped my back ( i hurt it Friday doing IMAX). The foot was ok. Today i just did Tracey's Strike Zone and Core Blast. SZ has less impact.

I emailed tracey because i STILL didnt get the dvds, even tho they were shipped last fri. They said i should have gotten them by now, so they are resending them, plus a bonus workout! Yay! that was very nice of them, for sure. Tracey is such a sweetie, i love her workouts.

Anyhoo..not much else is new, back to work tomorrow...blech-0. Its not so bad really. Just hard to get up in the dark all week. Just wait til daylight savings, right?? :)

Hope everyone had a nice weekend, wherever they may be..

Hey Jen#2! Yes, it seems to be slow here on weekends. Yeah to shopping! Do you pretty much have everything now? I know what you mean about the dark thing. We don't have windows where I work...and when I drive to work at 6AM and drive home 8PM...I don't see daylight ALL day. I have a touch of SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder) which causes me to be blue when I don't get enough sunlight. Last year I started an antidepressant in the Fall---and was able to drop off in Spring when days were longer.

My emotions are still off wack. I"m not a crier. It's really out of character for me. I think I"m still a little postpartum from m/c...

Have a great week everyone!!!

Hey ladies

Well my headaches are starting to come and go.. off and on all day. This morning was bad. I had to miss church again for the second time on a sun morning. I went tonight though and made the potluck lol. Not the healthiest food I can tell ya but I love hanging out with everyone.

Melanie-it ended up "ok" with the kids there. But the room was pretty cramped and they were right at the foot of the table when I got the pap and stuff. but the midwife was kinda helpful in how she tried to angle us and the pulled the curtain around her (where it didn't go) and it worked out. My oldest asked if she was taking the baby or something cause I took my pants off. ugh! lol. I didn't want him asking questions at that moment but I just said "no silly you know the babys just small now and I'm due in the spring". then he asked why I took my pants of then. I just said they were checking to make sure its ok but he kept asking ?s. ugh!! lol. My youngest was mesmorized with his game and could care less what I was doing.
Congrats on paying off a big bill. that must be a nice relief! :) You for sure wouldn't like living in Alaska then. I lived there for 10 years and some people really couldn't hang in the dark winters and got "cabin fever". If they managed to get a trip a year to somewhere like hawaii it helped. That was a common place to go from AK cause they had good rates on the flights etc. Lots of us pale Alaskans visiting Hawaii to the point they could practically recognize us on sight. lol. I'm in hot texas now.
I am with my kids practially 24/7 since I homeschool but I still miss them if DH takes them for the afternoon or something. I Made a day trip to San antonio once and I missed them so much its silly. ha. They do get out for activities but its not all day or anything.

Jen -boy do I miss being productive. I'm getting behind in some things around the house. I manage to keep it decently clean but when I get headaches I fall behind some. When the headache is gone even if I've been in bed due to it mostly I feel wiped out tired from the headaches. Just hoping it passes soon! I'm dying to workout too. I'm afraid I'll loose all my muscle tone and be totally outta shape when I start again.
Hope you get your dvds soon!

Melanie -oh and yeah I sometimes throw up due to headaches- even before being pregnant. When I get them though I don't feel like eating at all. Last time one made me throw up (a few days ago) I just threw up all the water I had been drinking. Dh was worried about that and gave me a zofran that helped some but still having the headache makes me loose my appetite completly. I can't complain much about morning sickness this pregnancy. (only happened a few times) Just constant headaches which is unique to this pregnancy.

Good morning everyone! It is 56 degrees this morning in the normally warm Florida and I am very hyper and in a good mood despite my icky stomach.

Melanie- AF is due tomorrow according to FF but I am giving myself until at least Friday if she doesn't show until I test. My stomach has been really funky like sometimes I am gassy (Sorry if TMI) and sometimes it is nauseous. I managed to work out twice this weekend and my body reacted a little weird. I ran on Saturday and I felt really winded easily but I made it through and did MM yesterday and as soon as I started doing the squats my heart rate shot up and again I felt out of breath which is very unusual to me. I have also felt like I might be catching a cold this last week or so, so I am not sure if it is due to that or what. I am trying not to get my hopes up and keep psyching myself out saying that it is AF coming. Oh and my temp went up today and last month it was slowly declining around this time so.... I am trying not to read too much into it. I don't have any human babies, only two goofy fur babies (dogs).

Jess-I'm sorry about the headaches. I normally get headaches a week before AF and they are awful! I usually can't work out when I have them. Just try and take it easy and remember you will feel better soon.

Jen#2-I love Desperate Housewives! I thought last night's episode was hillarious! Especially Gabby and the period scene at the party! I told my DH (he watches it too) that it's funny that I am wishing mine doesn't show and she was happy for hers.

I love this cool weather here! I made chili last week, a vegetable soup Saturday night and potato soup last night. I made blueberry muffins and chocolate chip cookies too! DH thinks I am pregnant but he always forgets that I always get this way when it gets cooler. I start staying home more and doing more things around the house. I hope everyone else has a great day! I will try to help keep our posts going!

Jen#3

Jen (#3 ha) -I hope that you get a BFP this time. mmm cookies. don't tempt me!! lol. I need to be good esp till I get back into a regular w/o routine.

Jess- I've already had one cookie today which is one too many. I brought them to work to get them out of my house!

Melanie - I wish I was nesting because my house sure needs the cleaning! No, I cannot get my act together. All I want to do is lie around. Feeling really tired lately. Probably because of all the activities going on with my kids, my energy is wiped after. Hope you're feeling better emotionally today. I've had those days as well.

Lisa

Good morning ladies

Laura - welcome!! No invites needed here, glad you can join us. I"m currently 24 weeks (tomorrow). It sure flies by! I'm pregnant with my first and i'm having a baby girl...still trying to pick out a name though :(

It is absolutely FREEZING here in Florida this morning. Yes, i know, i've only been here a year (originally from CT) so it is nothing like freezing up north, but still. I think my blood thinned already. Good sleeping weather - its so hard to get up in the dark every day. Sigh...

Not much is new with me - oh, yes i did watch Housewives sunday I love that show, its great..

Last nite my dad put the crib together for me and i put together the mobile (go me!). Its cute, i really like it. But i didnt put the bedding on just yet. I figured it was too early to do that.

ok, i'm at work so i'll be popping in and out all day.

hey jen! any names in the running? good job on the mobile!;):D You're in the 2nd half! Hope work goes good for you today!

hi kate, nice to see you here :) Hope you and baby Julia are doing well! We miss you here!

No new names yet .... i have a couple more months. Nothing seems to come to me :( But we will figure it out. I have the middle name all set at least!

Thanks for the welcome!

Hi all,

Thanks for encouraging me to become an official member. Not much to write except that I'm in my 14th week (official tomorrow). I had a mc at 6 weeks in 01/05 and one at 13 weeks in 08/07. I have no living children. I'll be 36 in January and I'm due 5 May 2009. I live in Germany as my DH is active duty military. Below was my latest ordeal with the Germans that I wrote to my family last week. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the German system, but it can be interesting. FYI--my DH and I conceived with the help of IVF and ICSI (inject one sperm into one egg).

Bottom Line Up Front (military term): all is well

Wow. After what seemed like five hours (4 hours, 30 minutes) of waiting with the Germans in the specialty prenatal unit, the baby is "perfect".
Although I LOVE their thoroughness, I HATE how long it takes. After I
filled out a bunch of paperwork, the assistant spent 30 minutes probing my
abdomen with my first (for this pregnancy) abdominal ultrasound (I usually
have a vaginal). Then the specialty doctor came in and started probing as
well. This doctor indicated that there was a very low risk for Down's
Syndrome or any other chromosomal abnormality based on fluid near the spine and ossification of the nose. I'll know more about the risk level when I have the results from the blood drawn. During the exam, the baby was VERY active, so much so that the doctor had a difficult time getting a still
picture. There is one photo with the baby trying to open her/his mouth to take in amniotic (sp) fluid. I also heard the heartbeat. Yeah!!! It was even a more enjoyable experience because Wallace was with me the entire time. Then I headed to Prof S's office (this is my regular doctor). Prof S proceeded to tell me that since everything was "perfect" (baby is 2.36 in; limb and head lengths/circumferences are right-on and no sign of problems) all I needed to do was provide a urine sample and all was well. After I left the doctor's office, I went to get a flu shot (pregnant women can't get the flu nasal mist since it's a "live" virus). I can't get the shot until 14 weeks! So, I have to go back. It was a long afternoon of appointments. Ugh.

Hi ladies,

I am so sorry for being MIA, but I am so lazy lately typing stuff on the computer for some reason, but that shall pass.

I was following Cathe's October rotation but kinda fell of the wagon last week. I am just not into stepping lately, so I did a lot of little runs on my TM last week and surely enjoyed it. Did another one yesterday and I think today I will be doing PUB if I feel good enough, I got a little bit of a cold and I am all stopped up.

Melanie - AF is due today or the latest tomorrow, so we'll see what happens. I took a test on Sunday (yes, I know way to early) and of course it was negative. If nothing happens I will wait until Friday or the weekend to test.

Laura - Welcome! I am German, so be careful what you are saying ;-) JK

calvillo - How are you feeling today? I sure hope better.

Jen #3 - I keep my fingers crossed that this is it for you!!!

jenmgo - We didn't decide on a name for our DD until after she was born.

Good morning to everyone I missed!!!

I'll try to BBL
Kristine :)

Laura-glad you joined the checkin! :) I'm 14 weeks but I guess "in" my 15th week. that whole thing confuses me. ha. My due date is April 28th so were due very close to each other. My DH is army and were stationed in the ft hood area in TX. My Dh lived in germany for a while when he was a child as his step dad was army. Do you get to travel and see much?

Kristine - I am doing a little better (keeping fingers crossed) My last whopper of a headache was Sunday morning although I've had a couple smaller milder ones since. I wanted to workout last night but we were out and didnt get home till late. Same thing tonight. I hope that means they are clearing up and if so I'm soooo working out on Wednesday. I kept thinking about working out in the morning but it feels so weird to me. ha. I ordered 4ds and I'm hoping the excitement of something new will help me jump in too.

Kate- I hope you and baby Julia are doing well. any more pics? guess I need to lurk on the PP checkin to keep up with the babies on here.

hello everyone else! I feel like hugging the world today cause I'm headache free! lol. But I have to get housework and homeschooling done so can't workout now.

Hello everyone! Sorry it is so late, I was in a conference all day with no computer! Wow, stay away for a day and everyone returns! It was getting lonely in here!

Welcome Laura! Congratulations on your pregnancy!

Jess- I am glad you are feeling better, I hope that means the HA are on their way out!

Kristine-I am also due for AF in a day or two so we will see. I am really trying not to test until this weekend at least, the earliest Friday unless AF appears before then.

Jen#2- Oh my gosh, this morning was so cold for Florida!!! The wind was brutal! I think the cold in Florida is much harsher than up north because of the "wet" cold and not dry cold.

Hello to everyone else! Hope everyone had a good day!

Krillie, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you!

Did I tell everyone? It snowed here Sunday night!! It didn't stick, but it DID snow. We're the icebox of North America----International Falls, Minnesota

I did ASC3 today--lots of fun. :)
