Kate, are you out there? I hope we're not double posting. ;)

I went to bed at 10 last night and almost got a full 8hrs. I've decided that I'm going to take it easy this week & not worry about w/os. I have gained 5 lbs though, and my pants are beginning to get tight already which scares me! The nausea has gotten rid of my Mt Dew addiction for now, so hopefully I can just keep it abay. I made Taco Dip for work today. We love it. It settles really well in my tummy too. So much for CLEAN eating today, although there are lots of veggies on there!

Mikkia, I don't think we'll find out the sex of the baby. Maybe I'll change my mind, but at this point I'd rather not know. Do you have a scheduled u/s? I match my little boys all the time. They love it! Extra bonus, if one gets lost & I need help locating,....I can just say, "He looks like this but smaller (or bigger)."

Susan, has spotting lifted up? Any cramping? Is it pinkish or brown? Are you being super active,...I've found that if I relax my flow stops sooner & isn't as heavy. My boys don't want really expensive dolls. Whew! Lucked out there!

Stephanie, what's on the workout agenda today?!?! How's your diet going,...eating clean?

Candra, your poor friend! And too be so young and have a broken arm for the summer. :( Urgh!!!!

Maggie, I wouldn't have a maid either,..but sometimes I feel like I could have more help with that stuff. DH helps alot with surface cleaning, but it's the deep cleaning that sometimes doesn't get done buy once a month! Ewww!

Kate, all the talk about decorating girl nursery!!! I'm so boring, I don't really decorate the baby's room. Oh wait #1 had Sesame Street. The boys now have cars. I plan on sticking this one in my room for awhile. ;)

Lisa, did you like bootcamp? I wasn't a big fan, but I hate lifting weights.

Hi Jen, Kristan,Anne, and everyone else I missed. Have a great day, I'll catch up some more later. ;)

Nope, Melanie! Not double-posting! :) Just taking my time getting around today! ^5 on losts of sleep - I still haven't figured out how to get to bed at a decent time! grrr! Hope work goes well today.

Lisa, I’m feeling like a big’un right now too! I’m amazed at how much my belly gets in the way already and I’ve got 4 months to go!!! I miss sleeping on my back too. Sometimes I lean my back up on DH so I still kind of feel like I’m on my back. Great job with BC! I haven’t done that one in a looon time!

Lots going on today - praying for energy to make it thru! Dog is getting dropped off for a bath (yay! he REEKS!:) ). Other errands too. Tongiht we're getting a babysitter (thank you, teenage sisters!) and meeting some friends for dinner who are in town from Iowa. She's pg too - a few weeks ahead of me so it will be fun to see each other pg! Hoping to fit my WO (cardio) in during the day because I'll be getting home too late tonight.

Have a good morning!

Melanie, You posted again while I was typing. Props to you on waiting to find out. That's something DH and I can't WAIT to know! We're both too impatient. I can't wait to see her! Also can't wait to start her room! I'm losing my scrapbooking room though so I'm bummed about that. Oh well, now I'll have a scrpabooking corner in the basement! It's a finished basement and there are lots of daylight windows so it's not like I'll be in a dungeon but it won't be the same as having my own room. I even had the closet redone to organize allof my supplies. wahhh! But I'm getting a baby!!!

Good Morning!
Hi Melanie-great on your sleep! I have never been a good sleeper. I always wake up a few time. The last 2 nights dd has woken me up about 3 and I get in the bed with her. I am always up at 5 though..regardless of my bedtime..makes me mad! The spotting is still here. Its pinkish. Is that bad?? Today marks 2 weeks since I started spotting. I will call the dr on Monday if I see no improvement! So you were/are addicted to MD? A food friend of mine is too. I don't care for the stuff. I am a coffee drinker. Since I have been ttc to have cut my caffeine. I use 1/2 decaf and 1/2 the half caffeine stuff. I actually have more energy drinking less. I had one cup of "real" coffee and thought my heart would come out of my chest!
Hey Kate! I'll send you some energy vibes for your day! Maybe you can catch a cat nap at some point. I may need one too!
Hey to everyone!

Susan, Hello! Sorry about the sleep. I tend to be an early riser too. I hope the spotting clears up for you soon. Thanskf or the energy vibes! I can feel 'em already!

I haven't had caffeine in YEARS. I gave it up when TTC Gina 7 years ago. Between TTC, being pg, and nursing (2 rounds of all of it) it had been years since I'd had any now I've lost all taste for it. I never drink pop or coffee. Always water.

Hey Kate. I would love to give up caffeine totally, but I just LOVE coffee and pure decaf gaggs me. But Im still trying.
How long did you nurse? People flinch when I say I nursed dd for 3 years!! I don't think I would do it that long again..probably 2 though. She never once had a bottle and that wore me out.
I forgot a few things at the store yesterday for dd is up and we are headed to Walmart. BBL

Morning girls. You all are such a busy bunch. I read yesterday's posts, wow. I had a bad day yesterday. I didn't go to the brunch, I got sick at work, took dd to dentist, threw up at the dentist. we live in a small town and everyone knows your business. So the receptionists says I heard that you were too ill to go to andrea's brunch this am(andrea is the dentist's wife's best friend and she organized the whole brunch). I said I wasn't feeling well (no lie), well in the middle of my dd sealants something set me off and off to the restroom(right across from receptionist)I went. When i came out she was just looking at me like, got ya! That was at around 2:30. By 3 my cell phone started ringing off the hook. The receiptionist whom I don't even know called everyone and told them what she saw. So now the secret is out. Not that its a big deal, but what gives her the right???? DH said I have been puking all over town, how can I pin it on her? I think that I am right though.
Sorry, stupid drama.
I am trying to pack for Disney. I had to try everything on to make sure it still fit(thank god it did, I don't have time to find a new wardrobe). We leave in the am.
Melanie- How are you feeling? Hopefully extra sleep will help. Don't worry about the weight either, it's not much and working out will come back soon!
Maggie-You poor thing. You are NOT a bad mom. Not even close. I think you do a great job.
Jen-You must have alot of energy, thats alot of walking/hiking yesterday. Good luck with your projects.
Candra-Potty training the next one scares me, but at least I have a new method!
Lisa-Good morning!
Stephanie-How are you this am? any workouts planned? do you get clean eating magazine? It has some good recipes, I just read my first one yesterday.
Susan-I think I would call the dr on mon if nothing changes. I think as long as you don't have heavy bright red bleeding you should be doing ok.
Kate-what theme are you using in your nursery? If we have a girl we are doing pink, chocolate and taupe. Waverly has this toile pattern fabric with those colors, and a friend of mine who is an interior designer said she would make the window treatments and bedding for me for a baby gift. I wish I could sew, that would be fun. I haven't been thinking about this or anything! My other 2 didn't really have nurseries, we put them in the study. I guess I was too tired? Who knows. No caffeine? Thats great, I wish I had given up sooner. I swear it makes the whole first part of pregnancy worse because your are withdrawing from caffeine too.

Mikkia, Im sorry you are so sick! Hey, but that is a great sign that everything is going well! I lived in a small town and know what you mean. But it really was not the receptionists place..but thats how it goes! Have a great trip to Disney. We went in March and the weather was perfect..nice and cool. You are brave going in June. My least favorite thing to do is stand in line in the heat! Is this your first trip??

Hey guys!!

Melanie--The taco dip sounds yummy! Hope the nausea subsides soon.

Kate--Your outing tomorrow sounds like fun! As for finding out the sex of the baby, I am like you, I had to know, but I wish I would have been able to be surprised. Someone sent me an email yesterday congratulating me on our boy and added that they had hoped that we would get a girl, though. Have you been getting comments like this? I know that this is your third girl. I told DH last night that I'm tired of people saying that. I'm very excited about my third boy, and I"m especially excited because it's our last (told my doc at last visit to schedule the tubal at the time of the c/s). I think it will bring back such memories of my other DSs and be the perfect ending to our family. Anyway, thought you'd understand...

Susan--I'm a coffee drinker too. I've been craving a cinnamon latte for days. I think that I'll cave and get a NON-FAT, decaf one this weekend (Yes ladies, I'm being good!). Sorry the spotting is still there. Sounds like if it's pinkish though that it probably is about over. ((Hugs))

Mikkia--I'm sorry but I was LOL as I read about you puking all over town. I'm sorry your secret is out. That receptionist sounds like a busy body. I would hate everyone knowing my business like that!!

Hi to Candra, Jen, Maggie and Lisa!!

----
So yesterday I didn't get a workout in. I did have a marathon trip to the grocery with the kids and walked A LOT. I cooked my minestrone and Melanie's muffin recipe that she had posted. I added pumpkin instead of oil and I did add chocolate chips. They are SOOOO yummy. Today I do plan on working out. I really want to do some weight work. I had a dream last night that I had given birth and could fit into my old size 6 jeans. I think I"m worrying too much about this when the dream is about the jeans and not the child. Ugh.
Hope everyone has a great day!! I've got to go design my church newsletter now and try to keep the boys from fighting. They are getting SO tired of each other!

Okay catching up.. from yesterday

Mikkia~based on the heartrate I'd say boy! It has been true for me that the higher = girl and the lower = boy.

Stephanie~ try not to worry about the weight gain. I know it's easier said than done, but I bet some of that was fluid. You had a lot of stress to deal with. I remember my SIL had an oatmeal cream pie addiction and she gained 10lbs in 1 month w/ her son. The dr. said what have you been eating? Not in a mean way just joking around.. she said Those really big oatmeal cream pies.. apparently she was eating 2-3 a day! LOL It's so funny what we crave soemtimes. She said she could taste the milk in the cream. LOL That soup sounds GREAT!

Susan~wow you are tiny!

Candra~oh my goodness about your friends DD. That is going to make a yucky summer for her.

Maggie~So glad it all worked out yesterday. Don't beat yourself up about it. You know they say it takes a village and it's true. Kids are quick!

Jen~I think the idea w/ the naked thing is you don't go anywhere.. or if you do it's directly after going potty.. get dressed enough to run out and back.. then get naked again. Good luck. I am just trying to get motivated to get working w/ my little guy.

And from today.

Kate~have a great date/dinner tonight.

Mikkia~ I LOVE the pink/chocolate colors for a nursery. I am hoping when we move we are in a place where we can paint the walls and stuff so I can do a really girly room and I want to use pink and chocolate! that stinks that the receptionist did that.. I am in a small town though and so I totally know how annoying it is.

Stephanie~lol at dreaming of your pants. That is really funny! It is human nature to think about that stuff. I still put my old pants on to make sure they fit in the legs and butt. LOL

Okay so I am buying the stuff to make those muffins.. everyone has made them but me. LOL I feel like I have been in a rut the last few days. I haven't slept well and seem to be having some anxiety. It hasn't really bothered me till the last few days about dh being in the Army. I guess we had so mcuh to do and I was just being supportive of him, but now that time is getting closer for us to find out where we'll be I am worried about that. I am scared to be overseas and having a baby. I pray we will get Ft. Rucker, or Ft. benning, but DH told me the other day that Ft. Benning is a high deployable base.. so now I dont' want to go there. I am just a major planner so all this uncertainty is just well making me anxious. I hope once we find out exactly where we will be going I can relax a bit and i will be having to get stuff in order for the move so maybe I'll be to busy to be anxious.

I've been on Ambien ever since my LAST pregnancy. Hormonal thing that never went away. The only time I didn't take it (and won't again) was when wee-one was under 5 months old & needed me all the time in middle of night.

Staphanie, I think my bleeding was pinkish and brownish right before it was done. Hang in there & try to relax and see if that helps.

I nursed Jadon until he was a little over 2, but I don't tell very many people. Mostly just at bedtime. He actually asked for "num nums" the other day. I couldn't believe it!

Hey Trish-I am short 5'1" so it doesnt take much for me to feel chunky. It must be very stressful worrying about where you'll be moving to. Does your DH have any way in where he'll go?
Melanie-my good friend was nursing 2 at one time for a while. She just weened her 2.5 year old and had her 4th baby 2 weeks ago. Shes a nursing machine.
Until Haley was 2 I let her nurse whenever she wanted..not like at walmart or anything, but at home. AFter that it was just at night.

I just did Tracey's Walking Strong for the first time. I liked it.

Good Morning everyone! I am getting a late start, my oldest had a friend spend the night last night so I got up early to make them bacon and eggs.

Susan, I am doing Walking Strong today too. I really enjoy that workout. I nursed both my boys until they were 20 months. I joke with my husband that I am nursing this one until he is 5 b/c he is our last.

Stephanie, I went to the store last night and got all the ingredients to make your soup recipe. I also got extra zucchini to make some bread. I have been getting the same comments as you. People say next time you will get your girl or are you upset it is another boy. Uh no I am not upset and this is more than likey our last baby. One girl even told me you can always adopt a girl. I like being a boy mommy and am excited to be having another healthy boy!

Trish, that must be very stressful having to move your family somewhere new and be pg. I hope you guys are happy with where you end up.

Kate, how fun you get to go out tonight. My kids spent the night at their grandparents house on Sunday night and me and dh rented a movie and just layed in bed. We never get to do that.

Mikkia, are you going to DisneyWorld or DisneyLand? We usually go to Disneyland once or twice a year b/c we live so close. Sorry about still feeling sick. Maybe you will feel better on vacation.

Maggie, you poor thing that had to be so scary. Like you said God is watching over them when we can't.

Jen, let us know how the potty training is going

Melanie, I gained 10 pounds during the first trimester and I could barely eat anything. I have only gained 4 since so everything evens out. I also gave up diet coke b/c it made me so sick but it didn't last long I drink one a day now. My sil drank mtn. dew her whole pregnancy.

Hi Kristan and Lisa

I am going to workout out now and then start cooking. We have nothing planned today!

Candra

Susan~ I hear ya on that. I am 5"2 1/2 (that 1/2 is very important..lol) I also am very small in the waist so when I gain even 5lbs it goes right to my butt/thighs and I can tell.

I ended up exclusively pumping for my first son till 12 months. Bfing didn't go well and so I ended up just pumping. With Madison I nursed for 3 months and it was going well till we got thrush.. that is some nasty stuff. I went to pumping only and that lasted will 8 montsh when my milk just dried up. Then this last time w/ Landon I nursed for a year. I hope to do the same for this wee one. I was so bummed when my milk dried up at 8 months w/ my dd. I tried everything (except the drugs) and nothing increased it at all.

Just a quick note to say I feel much better today. Still tired, but NOTHING like yesterday which was way toooooo much. Almost 8 hrs of sleep helped so much. I"m trying to lighten my schedule for July, but it doesn't look good.

I'll have to count on August for a lighter month. :)

Hi everyone--

I'm trying to get motivated to start my day. I did devotions with the kiddos--the older 3 and I are memorizing John 1:1-14 and I did a partial cleaning of the kitchen which is really gross right now, because all my energy has been deep cleaning other rooms.

Today, I'll finish putting up the freshly washed drapes (I'm so glad I got machine washable ones), wash the living room windows and set the kids to scrubbing the really kind of icky hardwood floors. I will pay them for this job, because it is extra large--then the living room will be done!

But now I'm posting;)

Melanie--((((hugs))) on the nausea on top of everything else you are going through right now (double mortgage, long hours, etc). I think the nausea stage is total survival mode--you gotta eat what you can eat, whether it's taco dip or chinese food or bbq chips--hang in there.

Kate--great job on the caffeine--I used to be a huge coffee drinker, but it totally grosses me out during the first half of pregnancy. I haven't started up again because caffeine aggrevates dh's arthritis and having it around makes a stumbling block for him. boy I'd love a cup right now:p

Susan--I nursed 5 out of the six for 17-24 months. Our little boy with downs was tube fed for about a year. I pumped for 9 months and then just couldn't do it anymore. Your 3 years doesn't make me cringe at all.

Mikkia--I'm laughing with disbelief over the receptionist calling everyone about you puking. The nerve of her! Doesn't she have work to do? That is so bizarre. I'm sorry you feel so bad. And it sounds like you are sooooo busy. I do hope you can enjoy your trip. When I have morning sickness, all I want to do is lie in bed and feel crappy. (((hugs)))

Stephanie--you and I WILL be back in our size 6 jeans, yes? It will take a while for me, but I'm determined. I'm sorry people are making the comments on your 3rd boy. I always say that God knows best what we need for our family--and it's 3 sons for you--what a blessing.

Trish--the muffins are delicious and quite versatile as many of us have played with the recipe somewhat. I'm sorry about all the uncertainty regarding your next move with your dh in the military and all. That would be very hard for me too. I'll pray for your peace of mind and that all goes smoothly during this time of transition and uncertainty. (((hugs)))

Jen--sorry about the potty training. I usually did put my kids in a diaper when we were out and about. I think the fact that he is frusterated with himself is a good sign rather than not caring at all. Hang in there--it will come. My comment about the book was kind of snotty and I was just trying to be funny--there really is nothing wrong with seeking all sorts of advice.

Lisa--I miss sleeping on my stomach! I hope you find that body pillow soon.

Hi Anne! Hi Kristan! Hi Morris! Hi Alicia! Hi Candra!

take care all--

Maggie:)

ughhhhhhhhhhh!!! I just lost a crazy-long post!!!! DDs are in trouble now!!! (their fault!!!)

Susan, I nursed Gina til she was almost 2.5, even while pg with Isabel. Isabel nursed for about 1.5 years - her decision to quit - she was such a busy little thing! Glad you liked WS. Thinking about buying that one too....

Mikkia, Sorry about pukemax! and busybody receptionist - that stinks. Your room sounds beautiful. I'm not totally decided on an exact theme but hot pink will def. take center stage. Have fun at Disney! Maybe the busyness will help the nausea keep away!

Stephanie, No comments about gender here. Probably because when I announce its another girl I am smiling like I just won the lotto! Size 6 immediately after delivering would be great! SOMEHOW I'm still fitting into this fancy Banana Republic dress in a Size 6. It's kind of flowy. Every time I out it on I can't believe it still fits. I should post another belly pic...

Trish, I don't know how you keep it all together - I'd be a nervous wreck.

Candra, I'm sorry you get rude comments about another boy. I guess I'm lucky no one has said that stuff to me!

Maggie, Busy busy at your house!! That's sweet of you to help out DH re the caffeine. Wish my DH would do the same about his nightly bowl of ice cream!!!:) Props to you for pumping so long! I hated pumping so it was breast-only. Made for baby ALWAY being with me but I really hated pumping. And I had a great pump too!

Melanie, Glad you're feeling well!

Better run - the Indians are restless!

bbl.

Hey Ladies,
I have yet another 2 batches of Mel's muffins in the oven. I am using 1/2 white 1/2 ww flour..and since I don't care for artifcial sweeteners I use the real stuff. DD just loves these for breakfast and its much better than most cereals.

Kate-my dd would probably still be nursing if I let her HA. It was my decision to stop at that point. She was ready though. After 2 days she didnt even ask.

Maggie, was your little guy a preemie? Why was he tube fed? Hope you don't mind me asking. You are such a busy woman..an inspiration!

Hey Susan! I did the same thing on the flour - all whole wheat tastes too cardboard-y for us. Real brown sugar here too! Also chocoalte chips the first time, butterscotch the second! mmm! Maggie's baby had/has Downs.
