I cannot believe it's July already! Wow.

I'm going to try cardio coach this am with my new elliptical. I'll let you know how it goes----such good reviews at open discussion forum. Not a bad price too, if I like them.

Mikkia, I just wanted to add that I'm taking slow release iron--(Niferex, Poly Iron) which is highly absorbable. No stomach upset or constipation. I only take one a day & I feel a world of difference. I"m so glad I begun it, I"m just curious as to how low my hgb actually got! I'd like to be a CDE someday---diabetes is so complex. :)

I will check in before I leave for work if I have time. :) Wish me luck!

Melanie, Hope your WO goes good!

I never got back for personals last night - but I read everyone's post and everyone seems like they are doing good.

We're off for a clothes-shopping day and out to lunch. Should be a fun day and the weather is great today. The mall is an outdoors one so we'll get to enjoy that! Hopefully eat outside too.

I did water aerobics last night. It totally takes away my RLpain, which is WONDERFUL!!!
Not sure on today's WO yet - weights of some kind - cardio will be lugging my packages!!!}(

I'm back. Cardio Coach is really cool, I like it. I did the first one, which was just 30 minutes. I haven't worked out in a couple days & with my energy level just getting back to low-normal, I thought I shouldn't push myself. Anyway, two thumbs up!

Kate~ Good job eating clean, will you mentor me? I'm not a big animal lover. We have a german shepherd & a cat. The kids like them, so what can I say? I did try caster oil with my 1st pg, would not recommend it as it is a potenet laxative. I was too embarrassed to tell dr what I did, and back then they gave enemas & shaved your pubic area. I was already squeeky clean, but they gave me an enema. :(

Mikkia~ I"m so suprised my co-workers haven't figured it out yet. They must think I'm too old to be pg!

Steph~ will you be flying for your trip? I hate peanut butter--esp now

Candra~ you can do step. Do you have cardio & weights? That was one of my favs during pg. Thanks for Wall-e review, we didn't go.

Susuan~ better today?

Kristain~ lose that mucous plug or anything yet? Can you not be induced after a c/s?

Jen~ my kids normally watch tv while I workout---or I do it at crack of dawn when everyone's sleeping

Hi Lisa & Trish!

Susan41~ are you trying to conceive or pg?

Maggie~ cool about Malcolm's dental help. Justin has really bad teeth for some reason. He was put under for 2 root canals & caps when he was just 18 months old! Also had a few cavities. My others have NO dental woes. So strange!

Well, off to work now. Havea great day!

Morning girls!
Hope everyone is doing well and have plans for a great day.
Melanie-I hope that you have a easy day at work. Are Tuesdays better than Mondays?
Kate-Have fun shopping, are you taking the girls for new summer clothes?
Just working today, nothing exciting.

Melanie, Glad you like cc! I would love to try it but am scared I'll get hooked and have something else to spend money on! I've never drank castor oil - yucko! If I were overdue and my midwife told me to I would but ....yuck! I can't believe what they put women thru to have a baby back in the day - how humiliating.

Wow-this summer is going way too fast. I can't believe it's July either! My DS is supercharged with energy right now, and in the past 5 minutes, he has done about 20 different things. Right now, he is rolling my exercise ball in the hallway, no wait...he is building with blocks...no wait, he is going to find his plastic fruit (see what I mean?).

I got my workout in today too. I guess I need to stick to the morning workouts before I do anything else. DS slept in late, so I started Kickmax. I finished it after he woke up. I do need time for myself, so I really don't feel guilty about having him watch t.v. I even set up his breakfast in front of the t.v. (How do you like that one, Maggie?). I did some modifications with some of the jumping jacks and tuck jumps, but otherwise, I was able to do most of it. Today, I don't have much going on. I have to run to the store and maybe to the library. It looks like it will rain any minute, so I don't want to take a long walk just yet.

Melanie-I would love an elliptical or a treadmill. I did download a workout like cardio coach for walking, last year. I really liked the music and the coaching.

Kate-The mall trip sounds like fun. What are you planning to buy?

Trish-Did you notice easier recoveries with each c-section? I am getting my second one, and the first was an emergency after a hard labor. So, I would hope that this delivery might go a little smoother. The dr. wants to schedule it the week before Oct. 11th (my due date).

Maggie-Great news about your son's dental work. That can be SO expensive. My DS will go for his first time in about 2 weeks. I wonder how that will go...}( . I never go to the movie theater either. It seems that each time I do, there is some annoying group of teenagers being loud. And, the prices are outrageous. There are some discount theaters around that I could go to.

Stephanie-Those apples that you were talking about (from Chile and preserved) are supposed to be organic, right? That is so strange! I would investigate that one!

Hello to everyone else.
-Jen

I can't believe it is July either! My kids are so excited b/c they start selling fireworks today

Melanie, I want to try cc. Did you download it to your ipod? I do have cardio & weights. It's mostly all this lovely pelvic pressure why I haven't been doing step:)

Kate, clothes shopping is my favorite thing to do:) Have fun!

Jen, during the summer when I am too lazy to wake up early my kids watch cartoons while I workout.

We have a busy day. The boys have gymnastics this morning then we have a ton of errands and then jiu-jitsu tonight. I better go and get on the elliptical so I can start my day.

Hi to everyone else. I will check back later

Candra

Morning!
Posted this is yesterday's check in by accident..duhh
Melanie, Im so glad you are feeling perkier. Have a great day!
Wehn I was preg with dd I was dreading the enema and shave..thank goodness they had stopped doing that!

Kate..funny about the castor oil. I have taken mineral oil before, so I would assume you get the same effect!

I think I have finally stopped spotting..whew. I go to the dr tomorrow but won't get the results until Thursday. I am very doubtful that I am preg. You know my dr did not tell me NOT to have sex while bleeding form a m/c. I have read so much over the past few days and that is the number 1 rule. The first 2 weeks the bleeding was quite heavy and of course no sex then, but after that I did. Im lucky I didnt get an infection of some sort.

Trish-thats amazing that your sister suffered 5 m/c. Was there any particular reason?? If I hadnt been bleeding up to a day ago I would susepct a pregnancy more.

Hi Kate,Candra, Mikkia, Jen, Kristin, Stephanie (did you workout?)

Susan

Good morning, ladies!! Hope everyone is doing well! I'm dragging this morning. I need to work out to gain some energy. The boys have a movie coming on in a few minutes that they are excited about, so I think I'll workout then (I have no qualms about letting them watch movies/TV and be lazy during the summer--soon enough they'll be swamped with responsibilities). Don't know what I'll do --either B&G or my new Jari Love. Then we'll all go outside to play, though Henry informs me he doesn't want to do water play today. I'll have to come up with something else for him to do. Anyway...

Susan--I'm so glad that the spotting has stopped. I hope you're feeling well!

Candra--I also cannot believe it's July! Half of the summer is already gone, and school will be here before we know it. I am not a big fan of fireworks. I enjoy seeing them professionally done, but I hate it when my neighbors shoot them off in our little neighborhood where the houses are right next to each other and it's been so dry here too. I have a fire-phobia.

Jen--LOL about your DS's energy levels!! Glad you got some workout time to yourself!! About the apples, I told DH about it last night, and he looked at me like I was an idiot. If it is true, it would make a great news story.

Mikkia--Hope you're feeling well today!

Melanie--Glad you enjoyed your workout! I want to get CC for my DH because I think he'd really enjoy it. He loves to run. Dumb question: do you download it onto an ipod? About my trip: we're driving, not flying because it's only about 4 hours away. I actually enjoy the drive (when I'm not preggers) because we go through Chattanooga, and it's really pretty there.

Kate--Sounds like you have a great day planned! Have fun!!

Maggie--Hope the staycation is still going well!!

Kristin--How are you feeling today?

Hi to Lisa, Anne and Morris (how's the baby??)

Wasn't there TWO Susan's posting yesterday? Maybe I'm losing my mind!!!

Kate~what is LIS? I am still learning some of the abbreviations.

Mikkia~oh goodness @ DD running over DHs foot. LOL Sorry work was so stressful today. That stinks.

Stephanie~are you in Georiga? My dh told me yesterday if we wanted to he thought he knew someone that could get us stationed at Ft. Stewart which is outside of Savannah. Not sure I wnat to go there though.

Candra~my son wants to see Wall-e and my mil wants to take them to the movies so I should let her take them. LOL Nothing on the house yet.

Kristan~forgot to say that moving the c/s date back is a good idea if you want to try to vbac.. it can't hurt and you can always change your mind and do the c/s.

Jen~don't feel bad about the cartoons.. I do it and as long as the cartoons are educational then I don't feel bad. They are learning and I am working out.. happy kids and happy mommy.. it's win-win! Oh yes yes yes the first c/s was AWFUL.. I had pre-e, so mag. sulfate, induction, 24 horus labor then c/s. Recovery was awful. Then #2 and #3 were really a piece of cake compared to the first. I was up the day after both times getting showered and make up on. The nurses were like wow.. lol I just felt that much better than the first time. I had zero complications and was back working out again about 4 weeks and running by 6 weeks. I def. think the scheduled ones go much easier on my body.

Lisa~have fun w/ your houseguests!

Susan~ she has no idea why she was m/cing.. She had 2 m/c w/ her first husband and he was a jerk and was hitting her. I don't think that made her m/c, but I am certainly glad she doesn't have children w/ him or else she'd have to see him all the time. Then she got married to her dh now and they had 1 m/c then immdiately got preg. again and had their DD#1, then when they ttc again she had another m/c and then immediatey got preg. w/ DD#2 and then after that they were trying for 1 more and she had a m/c and then decided to not try. Her DH got the V. It is so odd that both pregnancies w/ the girls were totally undeventful and normal. No complications at all so they have no idea why all the m/c's. I think 3 were very early like 5-6 week mark and 2 were later at 12 weeks when they went to listen for the h/b there wasn't one.

Okay so I got a 5 mile run/walk in and now I am debating on doign wegihts or taking a shower and a nap. LOL

Trish--I knew I forgot to say hi to someone!! I admire your workouts so much!! After 5 miles, I'd vote for a nap, indeed. No, we don't live in Georgia. We live in Tennessee, and I've never been to Savannah, but I'd love to go one day and eat at Paula Deen's restaurant. :) I've heard it's very beautiful there, but very hot. You and DH should take a trip there to see if you like it. Do you guys have to move around a lot?

Melanie--Yes, there were two susans here yesterday, and it really confused me at first too LOL.

OK, enough procrastinating. I'm going to workout now...

Jen-awesome workout. Kickmax is hard for me in a not pregnant state!
I have had 2 csections, first one was just like yours and the second was much less scary, it was scheduled and you knew what to expect. Still it took me at least 2-3weeks to feel like a human again! Have you tried Max and Ruby for a good tv show while working out? It is on Noggin, and my kids love it (I do not know why).
Susan-glad to hear the spotting has stopped. That is a step in the right direction for sure.
Stephanie-Both of my sisters(husbands work for same company) maybe relocating to Memphis. I would hate that because they would be so far but I've heard its pretty. I have always wanted to go to Paula Deans restr. too. My mom loves her show.
I am sorry if I have missed anyone.

Trish-I knew I forgot someone. Yes DD is in the dog house over the golf cart incident. She is more embarrased than anything. Hope you are feeling good. I hope the house sells soon!
Candra-How are you today? any big plans?
Ok back to work...

HI everyone!

Well, yesterday's hike turned out to be 13 miles, so today I have two little girl helpers with sore butts and blisters on their heels. Dh and Ds are hiking again}(. The longest hike prior was one we took to Green Lakes in the Three Sisters Wilderness area: a 9 mile round trip--but so beautiful--with mountain streams, wildflowers, towering snow capped mountains--the works.

I continue to work on the house and have started to prepare for "summer school" which will start next week--Ds has already been doing that--but lucky for him he has both wrestling camp and scout camp in July. We won't get as much accomplished before the regular school year as I'd hoped.

The ob practice I go to likes to get us in asap, so they are always a little irritated with me when I call for an appt at 14-15 weeks. I hate going in during the first trimester, because I just want to be at home and sick.

Melanie--I'm going to have to look into that kind of iron, because whatever I'm taking does constipate mex( and it's making me rather cross. I don't understand how kids from the same family can have such different teeth. My brother has tons of cavities and I only have one. My sons have very few cavities and the girls seem to have a couple everytime they go in. ???

Kate--your round ligament pain sounds different from mine--more constant. Mine comes in short intense bursts and I'm literally paralyzed with pain. I cannot move. It feels like something is ripping. Wierd.

Mikkia--for some reason I thought you were a bit further along. Here's to the second trimester, where hopefully you will experience relief.

Jen--I just think you gotta do what you gotta do. I think that if a parent is otherwise engaged with a child by talking, playing, reading, etc, watching a few extra shows isn't that bad, but I still feel guilty. My older children don't seem to have suffered any ill effects from it.

Candra--I don't think we are getting any fireworks this year. Oregon is really cracking down on illegal fireworks. Washington State sells them and we used to go there to buy them and then light them off at the jr high football field next to the house, but the fines are frighteningly high, sooo....maybe we'll get a few of the kiddie ones that Oregon sells. The little kids are easily impressed. (but Dh and Ds 13 like the BIG ones)

Susan--glad you've stopped spotting and I hope you get some answers from your doctor.

Stephanie-- We have two neighbors light off fireworks (the big illegal ones) in their yards--I don't understand as we have a huge field next to the house. I'm glad we'll be here this year to keep an eye on things, because I'm always afraid of fire too. Sometimes we vacation over the 4th and I always worry about the house and the dumb neighbors and fire.

Trish--couldn't do five miles to save my life right now, but a nap would suit me fine--enjoy!

Hi Lisa! Hi Anne! Hi Morris! Hi Kristan! I always feel like I forget one person, so if I did, I'm sorry.

Maggie :)
33 weeks, 1 day

Mikkia, DD used to love Max and Ruby. I always wondered where the rabbit parents were though...they went to see granny all the time but no parents:)

Jen, DS sounds like a wild man today! Good job getting your WO in! You asked what I was buying today - what I DIDN"T buy would be shorter! We got clothes for DDs, clothes for me, shoes, bras, and undies for me. Lots of fun.

Candra, I've got a really wierd pain "down there" too, but I have NO CLUE what it is. It's right in front of my pubic bone and it's incredibly sore, like I got kicked there! Is that what yours feels like too?

Susan, Glad the spotting stopped. We'll be anxious to hear on Thursday.

Stephanie, Have fun with your boys today! Your drive sounds nice. Next week we leave for our vaca - we'll drive thru Northern Michigan to get there and I always like the drive too. Never have done it pg though!

Trish, LIS is Low Impact Step - a total Cathe beginner step. I felt like such a lame-o. That's awful about your sis. Not sure I would've kept trying. And what a birth for your 1st! Amazing YOU kept trying! lOL! btw, I would shower and nap after a 5-miler!

Hello Lisa! Hello Mikkia!

Maggie, WOW on the hikes! Sounds beautiful too! My ob's office always got me in ASAP too - it's wierd to me that any office would wait. Good job prepping for school! My RLP is def. constant!

-------------
Gina and I just finished our nap, Isabel is still sleeping. It's BOILING here today so we're goin' swimmin'! Should be able to get in an hour or so before it's time to come home to make dinner.

Still planning on a WO tonight. Not sure what though...

Hi all-Well I had enough energy to take the kids to the pool, we got there and it started to rain. We sure need it so I won't complain. I need advice-my family really wants to go to Houston to Mimi and Papa's for the 4th and I don't really know if I am up to it, but I guess I oculd stay in bed all day and make family watch kids. Any ideas?
Kate-sound like fun shopping. It seems that buying bigger bras is all the fun I am going to have.
Candra and Kate- OB last timearound told me that weird pain was your pubic bone ligaments literally pulling apart. I quit listening for the rest of the explaination.
Maggie-goodness that is alot of hiking! Summer school starts when?

Mikkia, We swim rain or shine. You're getting wet anyway, right? As long as there's no lightning and it's not raining tooo hard! Tough call on your weekend plans! We always stay home for the 4th and take our vaca the next weekend while everyone else is working! Go to VS and get some new bras! their big sale is until July 7 - super deals too! Lots of cute underwear! That is actually kinda gross about the ligaments pulling apart.

The pool was very refreshing. Poor spoiled us though didn't have time to get the pool heater going and it was c-c-c-cold!! Need to make dinner now....bbl
