HI everyone!
Well, yesterday's hike turned out to be 13 miles, so today I have two little girl helpers with sore butts and blisters on their heels. Dh and Ds are hiking again}(. The longest hike prior was one we took to Green Lakes in the Three Sisters Wilderness area: a 9 mile round trip--but so beautiful--with mountain streams, wildflowers, towering snow capped mountains--the works.
I continue to work on the house and have started to prepare for "summer school" which will start next week--Ds has already been doing that--but lucky for him he has both wrestling camp and scout camp in July. We won't get as much accomplished before the regular school year as I'd hoped.
The ob practice I go to likes to get us in asap, so they are always a little irritated with me when I call for an appt at 14-15 weeks. I hate going in during the first trimester, because I just want to be at home and sick.
Melanie--I'm going to have to look into that kind of iron, because whatever I'm taking does constipate mex( and it's making me rather cross. I don't understand how kids from the same family can have such different teeth. My brother has tons of cavities and I only have one. My sons have very few cavities and the girls seem to have a couple everytime they go in. ???
Kate--your round ligament pain sounds different from mine--more constant. Mine comes in short intense bursts and I'm literally paralyzed with pain. I cannot move. It feels like something is ripping. Wierd.
Mikkia--for some reason I thought you were a bit further along. Here's to the second trimester, where hopefully you will experience relief.
Jen--I just think you gotta do what you gotta do. I think that if a parent is otherwise engaged with a child by talking, playing, reading, etc, watching a few extra shows isn't that bad, but I still feel guilty. My older children don't seem to have suffered any ill effects from it.
Candra--I don't think we are getting any fireworks this year. Oregon is really cracking down on illegal fireworks. Washington State sells them and we used to go there to buy them and then light them off at the jr high football field next to the house, but the fines are frighteningly high, sooo....maybe we'll get a few of the kiddie ones that Oregon sells. The little kids are easily impressed. (but Dh and Ds 13 like the BIG ones)
Susan--glad you've stopped spotting and I hope you get some answers from your doctor.
Stephanie-- We have two neighbors light off fireworks (the big illegal ones) in their yards--I don't understand as we have a huge field next to the house. I'm glad we'll be here this year to keep an eye on things, because I'm always afraid of fire too. Sometimes we vacation over the 4th and I always worry about the house and the dumb neighbors and fire.
Trish--couldn't do five miles to save my life right now, but a nap would suit me fine--enjoy!
Hi Lisa! Hi Anne! Hi Morris! Hi Kristan! I always feel like I forget one person, so if I did, I'm sorry.
