Trying B&G tonight for the first time.........

Hey laura,
i would say part of your disappointment would be what toni said - it isn't supposed to be a full leg workout, just glutes and abs. so that's why no calves... and i also do think it's more of a toning workout - not building.

the "guts" portion is great, in my opinion. give that a try when you can fit it in!

See, I have to agree with you Laura. The first time I did this workout I also felt it way more in the quad area then the butt. I'm not saying it hasn't helped in the glute area but I just didn't feel it at all the next day like everyone else did. Slightly stiff at best.

My quads were burning pretty good for most of the workout especially the leg blast that everyone is talking about now, which I did yesterday. Today, however, nothing. I have to make a trip to the gym at least once or twice per week to do a good leg workout for all the reasons you stated before. I can really contol the weight and go much heavier. I also have L&G, GS legs and the PLB dvd all which are great workouts for the legs and good for subs on the weeks I can't get to the gym.

Anyway, I still love the workout and do at least portions of it or all of it once a week because it does compliment the booty area.

Just my two cents worth.

I also think that some of the exercises are repetious(SP?) in B&G's. I love PLB and L&G's. I always add B&G's in for variety but I'd much rather do the previous 2 w/outs.

I have officially finished my first butts and guts...I am a pear so this workout is ideal for me. I am all booty! I feel it in my deep deep DEEP "hieny". I can barely crawl up the stairs now. It is completely a workout designed for me as I had trouble getting through it. Which I love because in time I can build my endurance and see my extra results. I didn't get to my gut part of it today as I have 4 kids and one hour was long for them...so another challenge another day. I hope I can move tomorrow! So for me I am satisfied with this workout beyond any workout yet. Just wanted to share my experience....it is ideal for pears!

I agree - totally ideal for pears - it really really gets into that "hieny" area very very well :) I always find that lacking in other workouts -

I think the Leg Blast premix is tougher - not sure why but for me it is....

I think this Butts and Guts is great to put together in a rotation with Gym Style or as I am finding out the premix for lower body three times on PP/SS - wowza ;)

Butts and Guts seems to tackle muslces in a different way - I always feel I worked different muscles when I am done - great product indeed :)
