Trusting people

How well do you trust people?? I am so upset about a breeder, she sent me a puppy and doesn't even look closely like the puppy I paid for, and I still haven't recieved the papers on the puppy. so I sent her an e-mail requesting I get my money back. I haven't heard, My hubby thinks I am way to trusting. Is anyone as trusting as I am??

Here I am, Mrs. gallable.

I don't understand - she "sent" you a puppy? You bought an animal without seeing/meeting it? I think,in this case, your approach may be the issue. I would never buy an animal over the internet or via "mail order." I've heard of people doing this with babies, too.
I actually wouldn't trust anyone relative to buying something without seeing it unless I was buying from a company or a particular store or something where there are protections in place.
But I am much less trusting of people in general - now-a-days you have to be.

I have put a lot of trust in people in the past. I have found that there is a "select few" who can really be trusted. I only trust my family, dh, and my one and only "real" friend.

We also bought a puppy from a "breeder" only to find out that he was only a broker for dogs. There were red flags about him that we didn't see. Our puppy was so sickly that I don't have puppy pics of her. I was convinced that she wasn't going to live. I also knew that if we gave her back to the broker he would let her die.We now have a great 6 year old pointer. I know that I'm too trusting.

she is a cute little dog, but nothing that I want to breed into my breeding program. I am not going to send her back, I just want her to admit what she is doing is wrong and I know she is never going to do that, I will probably pet her out to a really good home because she is a sweet dog. I do buy out of state, but for now on I am going with breeders in my Pom reader magazine, but I was to trusting in thinking she was honest in what she does and with who she sells to, how you behave and how you sell your dogs and how you talk to prospective buyers says alot about you, so why mess it up and destroy your hard work with scamming people?? that will never make sense to me.
I have recieved excellent dogs online from really great breeders, I now recommend to prospective buyers online to do their homework with breeders, talk to other breeders to see what experience they had with that breeder, never, never trust like I did, I now have a beautiful black and tan pomeranian coming in next week and comes from an excellent breeder and has been in the pom reader so many times with kennel visits and all,
