treats and clean eating

Just wondering if any of you include some treats in your clean eating plans? I include dark chocolate squares in the evening. I also include peanut butter(w/no trans fats), peanut butter bars from Nature Valley, a small amount of Soy Delicious(ice cream alternative), or some cocoa cereal with soy milk(I think they're called Bumbers). Now mind you I don't eat all of this stuff every day, these are just part of my treat arsenal that I eat from time to time with no guilt.
Am I alone here or what?

Hey All:

I try to eat healthy most of the time but have the fun stuff too. I usually have coke and popcorn with butter once a week and chocolate pretty much whenever I feel like it but in small amounts. If I go to dinner at someone else's house or to a party I don't worry about food at all, just enjoy small amounts of anything I want.

I think I am more hung up on portion size rather than specific "cheat" foods.

I like chocolate sandwiches. I take dark chocolate (they're called pistols--they're the little discs you can melt and use for dipping fruit), I put a few on a slice of whole grain bread, slice a strawberry or two on top of that, fold it over, then I grill it in a nonstick pan. Instead of butter, I use that "I can't believe It's Not Butter spray. Now, in a perfect world where we don't have to be concerened about such things, I would use challah bread, butter on the outside and then sprinkle it with powdered sugar after toasting. But--that's in a PERFECT world.}(

Frozen yogurt on the weekends sometimes. Otherwise, I eat pretty clean. I have to at my age!

I eat those sugar-free fudgsicles and also kozy shack makes a sugar-free rice pudding that i recently found and luv. I also like larabars and luna bars, full of nutrients but feel like i'm cheating a bit.

I also like frozen yogurt, especially TCBY.

Well I just recently made some chocolate covered peanuts with splenda and bakers german chocolate. Taste damn good, and no guilt either!

Candi,

Well we know you know what your doing with a waistline of 25???? And at your age...whatever age that is. Gosh, I don't know of alot of teenagers with that waistline...and you want to talk about your age...give me a break!

Hi Charlotte--

I do the same thing but I use dark chocolate. I'm happy as long as I can find a way to use chocolate in a snack. I like to dip fruit in it too. It makes for a nice, romantic evening with DH.

sure I splurge now and again. I think it's important to treat yourself a little bit or you'll go nuts at some point ;) Often I like to splurge w/ a little wine on the weekends with hubby. In terms of food, I like anything chocolate. Some cookies here and there. I try not to be the food police about it. Life is too short.

Mmmmmm thin crust pizza.......boardwalk pizza......girl you haven't had pizza until you've been to Jersey.........

OK I'm going back to my little bag of peanuts now. :-(

I allow myself treats, but I try not to get into the "it's Friday, so I HAVE to have a treat" mentality. If I want a treat, I'll have one. SOmetimes I have more than other times! I also consider some clean foods "treats" in themselves: berries, mangos.

I don't consider natural p.b. a "treat," but a fairly regular part of my diet.
