TRANSFORMATION CHALLENGE!:CHECK IN 2/10-2/16

Holy Sore Arms Batman! Pyramid Upper Body toasted my arms. }( Wow! I don’t have a stability ball, but I could barely support myself in the plank position after having done all the arm work.

Robyn, sorry about your “blues”. I just know the right job will come your way. Glad to hear you are keeping up with the workouts – they help in so many ways!

Otisan, I found fitday to be really helpful too. I guess the research has shown that most of us underestimate caloric intake by at least 1,000 calories a day! EEK!

Janice, how long will DS and family be living with you? (Hey, no fair bragging about the weather!:p)

Waving my limp “party arms” at everybody! Take care.:D

Hey everyone!!
Robyn..dont worry you'll get a job!
hey Debbie you should charge them!!!;-)
I hope everyone is having a good day...

Todays workout for me was muscle endurance,3.5 mile walk, then ctx all step.I had so much energy I was craving to work out..i am slightly addicted!;-) talk to you all later!...gotta go make dinner:9

Good morning ladies,
Hope your day is wonderful.

Debbie, to answer your question, (very longly ;)), no, I don't take any days off of my workouts. Like you, I listen to my body and if I feel extremely tired, I just take it easier. After 34 years of exercising (since I was 3) I've noticed that my body and soul feels much better when I continue doing an activity and workout every day. And I have my wonderful parents as my role model, (just like how you are for your wonderful family, and I hope I am for mine) who have been exercising everyday and are amazing, from their sharp mind, flexible and strong bodies, their healthy attitude towards life, and their healthy life style. I set everyday workout as my goal because some days I am soooooooo tired and drained that it is so tempting to just forget about it! But I hang in there ;)

I did pyramid upper body today.

Warm hellos to everyone. Have a beautiful day.
Bita :)

Hi everyone!

Thanks so muck for your kind words - smiley, debbie, otish, fitdoc! It means a lot! Did my positive thinking early this morning - that seems to help doing it early.

Wildpony - isn't it great having daughters that work out too. I love it. Your daughter is 20 does she live near you? Mine is a junior and we are going to look at colleges next week. I'm gonna miss her sooooo much. One of the GREAT things of not working is that i see my kids for an extra 3 hours (3-6) everyday at least until I get a job or spring sports start!

Well I'm going to go work out now - think today will be LL and/or Cardiokicks!

Thanks agains everyone for your nice comments :)

Oh Robyn,
Forgive me! I was going to wish you much success at finding your new job in my last post.
Your attitude is so very admirable. Life throws these challenges on our way, which at the time, they seem not so pleasant. But when time passes and one looks back, usually with a big smile, knowing the growth, opportunities, and beauties of the process all are shining through. Keep at it. You are well supported by your strength and knowledge, your family, your friends and the beautiful life.
Peace,
Bita:)

"Nuff about me. Robyn-You hang in there honey. Things will work out! At least the workouts will help you get through this hard time.

Debbie-Glad to hear you're still working those little buns off! Running races now???You amaze me girlfriend!

Fitdoc-The DS and family went to their own home last night!! Not that I don't love them a lot but they need their own space and so do we! Thanks for asking!

Bita-You're such an inspiration to me! Just wanted you to know that!

Happy Thursday Everyone!!!

So yeah Stolz got his stitches out yesterday, but he still isn’t allowed to lick his paw for 3 days because of some sores that developed around his toenails. Poor boy after being sooooo good about not tearing up his bandages he had to wear his Victorian dog collar last night at bed time. He wants to lick that paw so badly that if one of us can’t literally watch him every moment then he has to wear the collar. Today my dd and I are going to try and take turns. (she’s on duty now) We don’t want to put that collar on him unless we have to, he looks so pitiful like “why do you guys hate me soo much? I love you”. Any ways the paw has healed real nice the Dr. said that it usually is such a hard place to get all healed up but he looks great. Now we can stop the antibiotics which have been making his tummy sick any ways. It’s funny how much Mothering I still have to do with all the critters in my life. I worry about them as much as I do my own kids, yikes what a freak I am admitting to being.

Today is CW for me although I may change that to PUB because my legs are still sore from my run yesterday and PLB the day before. Who knows what I’ll end up doing but it will be good and fun I’m sure.

Michelle- Get a stability ball it makes a huge difference and is so much fun. Well except for the occasional rolling off and away part. My hamstrings are what is killing me from the ball work in PLB and I used to do the same type of moves on the step with PS-SLA weekly it really is a difference with the ball. Okay I’m gadget girl sooo maybe I’m biased. ;)

Smiley2- Wow what a day you had yesterday!! Are you alive today? I love days like that when the world seem like it needs to be conquered and you’re the women to do it. We need a special shirt for those days with a great big “S” on it.

Bita- I will say that it was you and Michelle that got me thinking about not making planned rest days and just waiting for my body to tell me when. I suppose I was of the mentality that taking planned rest days was a must even though my body was telling me different. I feel so much better now besides I’m usually pretty good about balancing my w/o’s between hard to easy days any ways. BTW your family sounds so cool. What great parents you must have and obviously are yourself.

Robyn6002- Our oldest has her own home here on the ranch. We live on 40 acres with 2 homes we just bought this all last April. My dd goes to a local college, trains horses and drives to LA for acting classes on the weekends. It is so cool that she can have her own home and grow and develop more independently but yet still be so close to Ma and Dad if she needs us. She has us all over once a week for dinner so she is building quite a repertoire of meals too. The gym is over here and she spends a lot of time here any ways. Its nice though I don’t ever have to see the messes she leaves there all over at her house. Lol.

Janice- Don’t get to excited about me wanting to run races it’s not like I would be really racing unless you think beating the crap out of a snail is considered racing. I would only be competing with myself hoping I would win. Lol. Btw what a sweetie your dh is, taking you shopping and being such a love. Although his valentine is pretty damn good and deserves all that she gets.

Hello to everyone else,
Debbie

Hi Girls -

Well, I lied. I was planning on doing A FIRM tape last night but instead I started sewing and got really involved and before I knew it, it was getting late. So ... I just did PM Yoga (it's short-only 20 minutes). I figure something is better than nothing. Tonight I made up for it by doing TT. I never did like that tape and now I know why - the quality of my tape is poor. I think I'll get rid of that one.

Robyn -- Hang in there, sweetie. You're in our thoughts and prayers with your job situation.

Debbie -- What a great role model you are for your family! A good mommy to the critters, too!

Janice -- What a sweetheart you have for a honey!

Hi to FS, fitdoc, smiley, bita, and everyone else.

My best to all --

Juli

Hi! Happy Valentine's day to all of you!

Debbie, Janice, thanks for your kind words.

Smiley, no planned rest day, like you said only lighter workout day.

I did "From the Ground Up" today and some yoga.

Have an amazing day!
Bita:)

Happy Valentines All,

Well I will try to make this short and sweet. Besides it being V-Day it is Athena (dh mare’s) b-day so I have to go down the mountain to buy a 50 lbs bag of carrots for the party. ;)

Dh and I are going out tonight for dinner. My youngest will spend the night at sisters house tonight soooooo. All is well and happy here.

I will fit a run in later today along with a fat burn walk. I am posting a link to the word pages that I put together for myself for the Intensity Series, they are my way of keeping track of all the changes in equipment and weights. I don’t have one for IMAX 2 as it is a do it until you get it right sort of thing.

Any ways have a great day all,
Debbie

Woke up this morning in a funk . . . probably due to the three nights in a row without sleep (up with a coughing toddler). I had to drag myself through BootCamp but I do feel better after finishing it! Did I mention that the coughing toddler – also running on no sleep – has been particularly fun to be around!}(

Reading your posts brought a smile to my face. (Can you feel the love?)

Debbie&FS, well – since you insist – I will have to go to Galyan’s today and buy a stability ball and 8# weighted ball (I’ve only got a 4# ball – surely I need another).

Janice! Seems as if both you and your DH got exactly what you wanted for Vday! ;)

Waves to everybody. Gotta run – fondue tonight for Valentine's Day (the 7 year old thinks we need a "tradition" - so fondue it is. Cheese with veggies for dinner and Chocolate with fruit for desert. Stole the idea from "motivatedbusymom" at ya yas.)

Happy Valentines Day to all you Sweeties! No tapes tonight, just the "down home" exercise with DH, if you know what I mean (Wink, Wink)

My best to all--

Juli;-)

Hey everyone!

Thanks Bita, goldengirl, and Juli for your nice words! I actually had an interview today. Not sure if it's a fit but will find out next week if we go a 2nd round. I should be happy - this is my 4th since being out of work since early Jan.

The interview came up suddenly and I had to prep so NO WORKOUT today :( --- Tomorrow I'm going to do 2.

So far pretty good week - S&H - leg/shoulder - chest/back/ - cardiokicks/ Imax. So tomorrow has gotta be tricep/bicep and Imax. Looks like no LL this week!

For all of you with DHs and B-friends - hope you had a great v-day!!

oh.. i had missed your nice comments too FS and wildpony. Thanks!

Have a great day everyone.. S&H Tricep/Bicep and Cardio today (Imax hopefully)!

Hi! Hope you all had a magical Valentine's and I hope your everyday is Valentine's day with your sweethearts.

My exercise today: Joyce's "Bottoms Up Gold" lower body and chest.

Have to run.
Have a beautiful day.
Bita:)

HI Everyone,

Wildpony, glad to hear that Stotz's paw is healing and he's being a good boy about it. I was a basketcase when we had Zaggie spayed, she was so groggy.

Janice, your VDH has done it again! Hope you had a very happy Valentine's day }(

Fitdoc, Hope your little one feels better soon. And gets some sleep!

Today was 10-10-10, shoulders, biceps & triceps. It's been hard to workout this week, we are now puppysitting a sheltie. Zagnut isn't sure of what it is or whether or not it wants to play. They are very different in that regard. Zagnut always wants to play and Toby is a very serious 10-year-old. Anyway, they're doing much better today :)

My chart from Fitday shows that I've been burning more than I've been eating and that's good!! DF just got me several bags of Trader Joe's chocolate mini pretzels for V-Day  He knows that's my weakness. I guess if I have 4 a day I'll be alright.

Have a great weekend, everyone! FS, enjoy the three day weekend!

Helloooo lovies :D

Woke up and did Imax Extreme. That thing just about did me in on the 8" step - but I had to work off the chocolate fondue from VDay.

(Last night my 7 year old and I watched the Blue's Clues episode where Steve leaves for college. We held hands and cried a bit - because it reminded us of my oldest DS in Boston. The 7 year old said "This is just like when J left". I had to agree. Of course the 3 year old could not have cared any less. He just sings the songs at the top of his lungs. LOL)

Take care all:)

Hi All -- I hope everyone had a great V-day. We had a MAJOR winter storm here in Cincinnati and my DH and I couldn't make it out for our dinner we had planned. Lots of ice on the roads. I love snow, but Cincinnati doesn't get really cold so sometimes we get freezing rain instead and that stuff is scary.

Did the Back bends session for Yoga for Flexibility. I'm just about there with the Upwards Bow. Not quite there, but almost have it.

I finished the Jesus costume today. Just one more left -- the Angel. I'm getting excited to finish this batch of costumes. This has been a big project and I'm going to treat myself somehow once they're all done.

My best to all --

Juli
