Tower alternatives for a small space

I'm going to be starting STS again soon. Last time I stopped early b/c I wasnt able to safely lift the weights into position for exercises like chest presses and squats without a rack/tower. My workout space is small and I don't want something that will take up too much space. I need an alternative that I can store and get out again pretty easily that also doesnt break the bank.

Does anyone have any suggestions or Tower alternatives they've used that are good, or things you've used that you would not recommend??

So far, this one is one I've been eyeing, but looking for other ideas before I make a big purchase.

Thx!

Thx, Justine! Do you keep a weight plate on each side for stability (if yours is built that way) and if so, did you buy those plates just for that purpose? I feel like I'd have to buy weight plates just to stack there so it doesnt wobble but then I'd never use them (??)

I have the Valor BD Power 9 and I love it. I haven't felt the need to put plates on it for stability because it is solid. When start using it for chin ups, I might use some plates. It is a great piece of equipment, highly recommend it.

Can the Valor be easily moved? Is it heavy? If I buy one, I plan to keep it in the corner where it can't be used. And I'd have to pull it out when I use it.

I don't bother with plates - it seems to be pretty stable. I can use it as a squat rack, or lower it for bench presses (using my step as a bench). I've had up to 80kg on it (170+lb) and it was fine.

The one I have is similar and can be moved and stored in the corner Zenara.:):)

I have had my squat rack for a year and I'm happy using it for bench press and pull/chin up too. It's handy.

The Valor can be moved very easily---not that heavy---and it's not unwieldy. I transport it from the room in which I store it to my workout area (living room), through a normal sized door way, with no problems at all.

I have never regretted my purchase of the Valor Squat Stands. I have an older model. It understand the newer ones are considered to be more stable, but I have never had a single stability issue with mine (I am short, though, so that could be a factor). The bases are fairly wide, so keep that in mind when considering where you're going to store (might want to check the measurements). I have mine with the bases aligned inside of each other, if that makes sense, so that helps save floor room when not in use. They are easy to carry around, although a little awkward just because of how they are weighted. Good luck!
