Total body weight work every other day rotation??

I'm thinking of starting a new rotation of total body weights every other day. Has anyone done this or have thought about it?

i.e. =

Muscle Max
Imax2
Power Hour
KPC
Muscle Endurance
LIC cardio only
rest

Let me know what you think.

Hi Shereta,

I did one similar in June, although I had two rest days per week & started the week with a circuit, it worked very good for me, thoroughly enjoyed it. At the very last week, my core really felt it doing weights after KPC, but then these routines are pretty new for me, for cardio I usually try to put tricky steps or speed ones (kick box) at the beginning of the week, anaerobic one (like Imax 2 for me) in the mid week, steady state at the end, it works for me. don't have ME or PH.

For weights, Heaviest weight work out first, moderate endurance second, maximum endurance last. It's based on athletic training, and I like it.

I like your mix :)

I did something similar to your plan in May (TB workouts 3x/wk) and I was very happy w/ the muscle definition I gained. :) However, I was also much more tired on the non-weight lifting days so I eased up my cardio expectations until the final couple of weeks of my 5 wk rotation.

Your Cathe weight workouts choices are great ones!! The only thing I did differently was one day of more intense lower body work (eg B&G, L&G, LL or GS Legs) paired w/ a short UB workout (eg. BM2 UB only or MMx UB only).

If you've been lifting regularly, your choice of cardio might be fine, but if you haven't been doing Cathe's weight workouts at least 2x/ week regularly, I think you'll find that you aren't giving your muscles enough recovery time. Maybe do Imax 2 w/o the blasts, KPC warm up thru high intensity drills (no combos) or walk/swim/bike/dance. LIC cardio only is fine.

My thought is you might notch down your cardio intensity for the first couple of weeks to really be able to give your all to the weight workouts. Does that make sense?

Also, please be sure to add a stretching routine (15-30 min) 2x/ week.

Have fun and good luck!

Thanks for your input ladies. I really did mean to post I'm only doing 1/2 - 3/4 percent of those cardios. Altho I've been doing Cathe's workouts for years, I will go easy the first week or two. And, I will definitely consider spacing the wt work out a little more to allow stretch workouts or an additional rest day. I don't want to run into overtraining.
