Total Body Blast Chk In 7

Wanda, congrats on how close you've come to your goals. That is just awesome! This morning was the workout I love to hate, hate to love. Imax II (intervals 6-10) and PUB. My arms are already sore! Tomorrow is BC. Hope everyone is having a great week!

Well, I survived Muscle Endurance and increased all my weight by 2 to 5 pounds on everything. The only thing I couldn't make it all the way through was the biceps. I need to go back to what Cathe is using.

I wanted to do Rhythmic Step, but i don't have time before church:( Maybe I will do it after, but I doubt it. It is usually around 8:30 before I get home.

Tomorow is Imax 2. My favorite one:7

Have a great evening,
Christi

Hi Everyone,

Congratulations Laura on your weight loss and to Christi for being able to up your poundage.

If any of you can figure out the problem on ME's bicep section let me know. I did it this morning and bang! When I get to the biceps my arms are on fire. I completed all the reps with 20#'s but I cheated.
I got my 10# DB's and get this....I sat down. At least I could do all the reps without pausing.
Go figure, I can use a 30# barbell for biceps in the PS BB& Abs. 25# in the Kickbox video. What gives with this class?

This afternoon I did Rythmic Step. This evening I did the cardio section of Kickbox and 12 min of ab work. (this is what happens when you play with the DVD remote control and discover how to work the menu buttons...:D)
Tomorrow is Boot Camp.

I love how this series is leaning out my torso. My legs are even starting to look better as they lacked muscle tone. This must be due to all the leg presses. ?

Please tell me that the bicep work will get better. LOL

See you tomorrow. Happy workouts everyone.

Hi everyone! Sorry I have been out of the loop. Slammed at work, slammed at home.... sick 2 year old... you all know the story! It hasn't stopped me from workin' out though... here's my week since Sat (I start all my weeks on Sat)

Sat-Viper
Sun-Gauntlet (but no leg squats etc.)
Mon-pub/plb + core
Tues - Rest
Wed - Imax2

Looks like everyone is doing well and seeing results! I am just loving this rotation and not really sure when I will stop. I figure as long as I am seeing results I am going to keep going! I was going to start doing S&H with less Intensity Series videos this week but just couldn't stop yet.

How long are you all planning on staying on the rotation? I think I am going to do it for at least a couple more weeks. For awhile I was worried about losing muscle mass. I also have extra skin. But now I can see that the skin is shrinking back up and the muscles look more defined. I also increased all my wts which helped a bit.

I increased my wts on PUB and ooohhhh man it felt good. Except for those biceps! I hate em'! Will they ever get better??

Hope you all have a happy Thursday morning:)

Well after all that complaining about being "impact pooped" I still got up and did CardioKicks this morning!? I thought long and hard about PowerStrike, but I just felt like a rush, so I opted for CK. Glad I did! :)
Tomorrow is ME,

Donna

How was YOUR workout day? :D

I just finished Boot Camp. My jumping was higher, the Terminators were more controled, I can do the core work without having to make the wide adjustments to my feet. I could do the biceps with 30#'s BUT I used Dumbbells.
There must be a scientific reason for this. LOL

Donna, GOOD FOR YOU. :D You tackled the "take it easy on yourself" demon.

LuvCardio, With all the stress you have gone through this week, my hat is off to you for continuing your exercises. I didn't realize you have a two year old. My, that is a handful in itself. :D
I really admire people who take control of their lives.

Have a wonderful workout day. Catch you later

RE: How Long on this Rotation?

Hi Everyone,
When I read Cathe's After Baby notes on the Behind the Scenes page, I saw that Cathe's regular workouts didn't get her in shape. It was by doing this Intensity workout that she lost the stubborn weight and tightened up in 8 weeks.
And yet, while she losing this weight, and creating the new videos, there still is the time factor involved. She was still doing this intensity idea during rehearsal and of course the taping of the videos themselves.
I'm figuring that would amount to 12 weeks, as she said "rehearsals lasted about a month." ?? Please correct me if I am reading this wrong.

I am having great results with this rotation. Granted I add more to it as I work out 2 hours most everyday...(that is just me. Also look at AmyFit's schedule :D) The only thing I am missing is Slow and Heavy series. I figure I can factor this in. It is just a matter of scheduling, right? LOL

March 1, will be my 'tell all' day. That is when I will measure again. That will be the end of my 8 weeks on this rotation. If I've lost any more, even if it is 1/8 of an inch since my last measurements, I will continue on and go for 12. My DH says I've never looked this good.
That in itself is an incentive to keep on doing what is working. ;-)

One of my problems has been, doing a class I wanted to do not necessarily something high intensity. I figured I was working out... that was the main thing.
That reasoning is good to a point. I rememeber Tracy Long once said that "some people hate to do lunges. What you hate to do is what you need to do the most." :D

Hi!
My workout day was great! I did ME this morning. Not one of my favorites. I find I usually dread strength/endurance workouts - esp. those involving leg exercises. My biceps and triceps are still burning! The biceps section is KILLER! And I only use a 15 pound barbell!

Congrats Christi on getting stronger!
LuvCardio - hope you 2year old feels better! I was home with my 6yr old son on Tuesday. It's so hard to see our kids sick. The whole time, I kept telling him I wish it was me and not him! Anyways, I think I have two weeks left on this rotation (to make 8 weeks total) but I really do like all the new videos. Maybe I will keep doing it also. The other thing I was thinking of doing was switching to one of the other rotations Cathe suggested for the Intensity series - there was the Strength/Endurance rotation and one other.... But I am waiting on new CTX videos plus a few others, so once I get those I may be anxious to try those out.... I just can't imagine liking them more than the Intensity series!

Donna - I threw Cardio Kicks in a week or so ago. I just missed it. It's so much fun!

Wanda - maybe I will try using dumbbells for biceps instead of a bar. I always feel like my biceps must be my weakest muscle because I always have to go way lower(or so it seems) than Cathe and still can't make it all the way through in most cases. Good idea!

Okay - now you guys are making me feel guilty for getting off the rotation!!! Wanda you inspired me to try and stick with it. I can always add in older videos if I miss them that much!!! I did notice, that for some reason, on this rotation, I had enough energy to do splits most days (as long as my 1-1/2 year old son cooperates ;) ) Enjoy your day everyone!!

Hi All!!I had a great workout today also..i did imax2.
i didnt post yesterday-i did pub .WOW!I am sore today!those pikes are so cool...i love the ab section too!

Wanda-you used 30# for each arm(biceps)?Thats awesome!!

LuvCardio-awesome job on the workouts..sounds like you flew all week!;-)

have a great evening everyone!!

Hello everyone. I did Imax 2 today. I just love this one. The music just gets me going:D

I was thinking of doing the Gauntlet tomorrow instead of cardio & weights. I haven't done this one yet. Does anyone think this might be a good substitute? I am going to do S&H legs Saturday. I don't really care for PLB because I have the type of barbell with the screw ends and it is impossible to keep up with Cathe. I tried it with dumbells and the weight I need on my shoulders killed my neck and shoulders. Last week I substituted in CTX leaner legs. I didn't get sore with that either. I have had the S&H series for quite some time, but haven't done any of them. I would like to go to a S&H rotation after this one.

Hope everyone has a great evening,
Christi

HI everyone! Glad to hear you all had a great workout day! I am sooo jealous. I had to take a rest day due to a busy schedule. My DH Is out of town and like I said yesterday I am just swamped! I have to work online tonight until about midnight:( Lastnight I was up so late and knew it would be worse for me to workout than to not as I definitely don't want to end up sick. I always get sick from lack of sleep if I do it too many nights in a row.

So, I am bummed ;( I really did want to work out today but just couldn't! I was up at 5:30 a.m. and out of the house with the 2 year old before 7! (okay, I know I am feeling sorry for myself now!!!!)

Anyway, I am going to try to workout in the morning. Thinking of either Gauntlet, Viper, PUB or Bootcamp. I definitely need some weights. I'll see how much energy I have at 5 a.m. and then I'll decide.

Laura - I hear ya' on the bicep thing! Why are they sooooooo hard???? I dread them every time.

Wanda - glad to hear about your results! Keep up the good work.

Sara - glad you are back with us!

Donna - I have been urgin' to pull out Cardio Kicks too!

Looks like everyone is loving Imax2! It is definitely my favorite cardio tape right now! I LOVE it!

Have a happy friday!

Donna, glad to see a post from you! Was CK easier because of doing BC? I was wondering about that.

Well today is my rest day but yesterday I did BC. I did the 'everything but core' premix and then the 'core only' premix. I felt so energized after the 'everything but core' premix ended that I did cycle 5 (terminators - ah!) and cylce 7 again and then I did the core work. Have you ever noticed how high Cathe brings her torso when doing the crunches with the med ball - the move where you raise the ball to meet one of your legs (it's on the cover of the BC video). She is so amazing to me! Looks like everyone had a great week!

Hi Everyone,
Just finished with Imax 2. PUB is on my list for this afternoon.
I have 3 sizes of jeans. My fat pair, mediums and my small jeans. Well....my small jeans were loose this morning! It is working :D:D:D

The crunch move with the ball that Cathe is doing is a Pilantes move. I'm grateful that I had been practicing a similar move since last summer. ;-) It is doable with some practice. LOL

I have to apologize for the misconception that I'm using 30# DB's for each arm. I can use 30# DB's total.
The issue I have is WHY can I lift 30# Db's and not a 30# barbell?

Have a great workout day and weekend. See ya later

Hi everyone!

Today is my rest day, but I was thinking of maybe doing a short 20 or 30 minute run on my treadmill this evening. The old treadmill has been getting dusty over the past 6 weeks since I received my new videos. I'll probably do that if I have the time.

Wanda - congrats on the jean thing! Obviously, this rotation is REALLY working for you! Time to go shopping for new jeans, huh?;)

Have a great weekend!

Hi Laura,
Yes, I must go shopping for some new clothes soon. :D I've been trying for the longest time to get this fat off my torso and abs. Obviously my diet and the intensity of my workouts wasn't good enough in the past. Equally frustrating was being on a medication that was the culprit of putting the fat there in the first place. Grrr
I totally empathize with Amyfit. To gain weight and you've been working out is depressing. Strong will and determination can get the problem under control....

Don't sell your treadmill short. It can help whittle down the waistline. I try to do a interval treadmill workout 2-3 times a week. Cathe gets her small waist partly by running every week as well. ;-)

I just did PUB and may do a walk/jog on my treadmill this evening with some ab work.

Keep up your good work. You are doing great.

Hi everyone,

Well, I was feeling extremely energetic this am (possibly the beans and rice for dinner~don't know?), but after I did ME I was feeling like some cardio so I threw in Christi's "Still Jumpin" and enjoyed every bit of it. That is one fun cardio! It took me FOREVER to get the moves down 100% (choreo challenged!) but I love the music and it's just the funnest workout! :)

Jilly: I don't know if BC made CK any easier, but everything is easier to me after Imax 1, Imax 2, BootCamp and my nemesis MIC! :)

See you guys tomorrow!

Donna

Hi Ladies....

Today i did cardio&weights and after the weight sections(for bis, tris, and shoulders) i popped in my ctx dvd and did a continued weight workout. That was fun...isnt it awesome being drenched with sweat at the end of a workout?I love it!
:7

Have a great weekend everyone!

Hi Everyone,
Getting ready to do C&W. Are you finding the walkman planks are getting easier? I'm getting better balanced with it now. Also my feet placement on the core work is like it should be now. Definately seeing improvement in strength and stamina.

Have great workouts today. I'll check in again later. I like combining C&W in the morning with leg work in the afternoon.
Catch you later
