Top five most intense cardio dvds?

Zozo

Cathlete
I'm looking to add a new cardio dvd to my collection.. but I want a really intense one. So, please could you answer the following?
If you could choose your top five most intense cardio dvds.. what would they be?
I'd appreciate if nobody mentioned any beachbody products :( I have Insanity :) But I can't afford a beachbody package right now... so it would just make me jealous ;)

Shock Cardio Cardio Core Circuit
Shock Cardio HiiT 40/20
IMAX 3

I gave ya 3 out of 5. They are the first ones that come to mind. If I think of 2 more I'll edit this later and add them on! :)

I'll give you my highest cal burners (according to my HRM):

Tracey Staehle's HISM2
Amy Bento's ASC3
Drill Max
MIC

Pretty much in that order. I can't think of a 5th that gets me over 600 cals. ;)

Oh wait, I did think of a 5th--Cardio Fusion. I just rarely do it b/c it's so tough!

Terminator series of Cathe.

I get alot of exercise DVD's on Ebay or Amazon, you can get them used and they are really inexpensive.

Imax 3
CCC
Cardio Coach Press Play - heading off for that one right now
And the Amy Bento KB w/ the med ball drills. I can't think of the name. It may be "In The Ring" but not for certain, I'm blanking here. The med ball drills are always tough for me.

And honorable mention to Hiit Pyramid. The 1st pyramid isn't so bad, but by the 2nd one, I am sucking wind:)

Not as intense but Amy's Kickbox Surge is a real calorie burner for me.

Another intense one for me is Sharon Twombly's All Body Attack.

My other three would be MIC, Cardio Core Circuit and HIIT. IMAX 3 is also up there.

For me, I'd say no. The drills at the end of KM are no walk in the park, but the Hiit workouts are tougher. I don't find either of them all that difficult. However, KM was my 1st Cathe and the warm up damn near killed me at that point.:p I've progressed :D:p;):) They are both fun, though.

I would also like to tack on here the double cardio mix from DM - holy smokes! And DM as a whole.

Also, I find the cardio only mix (not the timesaver) from BM2 to be tough. Its fun, but it feels like a lot longer than the hour it is. Start to run out of steam by the end of that one. Dunno why....but its a goodie for me.

How about Hardcore extreme? That combines Imax 3 and Kickmax AND high step challenge... is that intense?

Thanks again.. everyone's being very helpful :)

I do have Amy's Kickbox Surge, and I LOVE it sooo much. i also love the HIIT dvds and CCC... I'm just looking for another that's up there intensity wise with them

I love love love Kick Punch and Crunch. It's got awesome premixes on it so you can do workouts combining both KPC and Legs & Glutes. I think KPC is pretty intense, but not as intense as, say, Drillmax. But there's also not a dread factor with KPC, which means a lot to me. I look forward to doing that workout and experimenting with the premixes... One of the premixes is a leg press premix, and it's killer!! :)

I-Max 3
Drill Max
The "Gauntlet" workout from the Terminator disc

Also, if you're looking at non-Cathe workouts, check out Amy Bento's "A-Team Boot Camp" from (I think) 2006. I have several Amy releases strictly for their intensity blasts (am a complete choreo klutz), and A-Team Boot Camp's drills are by far the toughest. The workout is structured like Drill Max - 6 cycles with a cardio blast followed by resistance cycles - and the cardio blasts are each two solid minutes of pain! I often recommend this one for intensity junkies who have exhausted their Cathe options.

Really? I've been put off this workout just because I wasn't sure if it would be as intense as her others.. no particular reason... just by the description I think. But I LOVE LOVE LOVE AMY :) And the price of this workouts is good :) I will definitely consider this. Thanks A Jock.

And Kick punch and Crunch does seem to be one of Cathe's most popular cardio workouts.. how does it compare intensity wise to the MMAs? I like the MMAs.. but I want more of a kickbox intensity challenge :)

Ok, get the weighted vest, a jump rope, really good pair of trainers for lateral work, and a hill. Go outside with a killer set of high bpm audio on your ipod and work the hill with jump rope as an additional intensity bump. Its fun, just don't do it on a leg day;)

Sorry, I know you asked for videos but for me any of those kick box type workouts just don't cut it at all.

Cardio Fusion

Imax Extreme from Terminator

MIC

Circuit Max (this ranks toughest for me, and though it's a circuit, I never feel like my heart rate drops!)

In addition to that (if I do say so myself), access my recent post "A-Jock's Famous Track Workout For The Unrunner", which describes a do-it-yourself workout formatting system that can utilize a running track (indoor or outdoor) or walking path. I'll see if I can link it here on this thread.

Also, re Amy's A-Team Boot Camp: I found the cardio drills very, very effective. The first and last one utilize a step; the first is a tad friendlier, and then they get really mean. Blast #2 is football feet + plyo lunges; Blast #3 is two solid minutes of curtsy leaps side-to-side; Blast #4 is step-touches and air jacks; Blast #5 is "Riverdance" (kind of a criss-cross lunge thing) and jacks; and blast #6 is wide-foot power jumps on and off the step interspersed with power 3-knee repeaters. Simple but not not not easy.

I've looked at Amy's Boot Camp several times, but never bought it. May have to rethink that.
