too much??

Hi Cathe. I teach a body sculpting class 2x a week. It hasn't been interfering with my usual workout because I keep the weights that I personally use in the class very light (3-5lbs). However, I've been asked to teach another body sculpting type class the same 2 nights a week. Will adding this class hurt my own workouts or will it be OK if I continue to use the light weights? (My own workout week consists of Mon.-back/chest & cardio, Tues.-legs/cardio, Wed.-just cardio, Thurs.-shoulder/bi/tri & carido, Fri.-back/chest & cardio, Sat. - rest, repeat but this time it would start w/legs, etc.)
Any suggestions? Thanks so much for your advice Cathe. I really value your opinion.
Thanks again,
Charlene

I don't know the answer

But your question looked so lonely ... I just had to post something! Actually, I also wanted to ask you for a clarification. Are you saying that, with the new schedule, you'll be teaching double muscle-sculpting classes twice per week? For example, MS Class #1 & MS Class #2 both on Wednesdays and then repeat on Fridays?

That does seem like a lot of lifting, even if you keep the weights light. Can you demonstrate proper form with light dumbells for the first few reps and then just walk around the class and check the students' forms for the rest? I've had instructors do this in class and I've found that I often got more out of that personalized kind of attention than I do from watching the instructor do every rep with me. Just a thought. Hopefully some of the others on this forum who are instructors can offer some other advice.
