Too much/little cardio?

This is an opinion type question I guess...

I belong to a gym, and take 2 or 3 spinning classes a week there and use the weight machines. At home, I add 1 or 2 Cathe step tapes, plus PS/MIS.

But there are several people at the gym who do much more. One woman, who is in her late 30s and has a few kids, looks 'perfect.' But she takes 2 cardio classes in a row! Is this safe? I mean she looks healthy and great, and I'd love to look like her, so should I up my cardio too?
Thanks for any feedback!!!

Don't compare yourself to others

I know, it's really hard not to! But the fact that this other woman looks "perfect" is probably due a lot more to genetics than anything else. It's also *possible* that she's had liposuction or some other form of, ahem, "assistance."

If your body feels good at the level of cardio you're doing now, that's all you need to know. Also, doing too much cardio can supposedly minimize your body's ability to gain muscle, so if that's a goal for you, you probably don't want to add any more cardio at this point. Good luck!

I agree with Pamela

Do you feel strong and healthy? Do you have energy? You can bet your bottom dollar that there's somebody else probably looking at you thinking Wow, if I do what she does then I'll look like her! But the point is, everybody is different. What works for one may not the other. Just gauge how you feel and be the strongest, fittest person you can be!!

Thanks

You're right, I shouldn't compare. I love my ice cream and am not going to be giving it up for a 6-pack (although it'd be nice). And this 'perfect' woman has implants, which does 'add' to her figure :)
Thanks again
