tonique

How are you doing with your rotation?

I've been using Tonique 1 and Mat for my leg day with Fitness Freak's Getting Ready for Summer 2010 rotation.

I'm now going to use it with Cathe's 2006 Rock Bottom rotation.

Instead of doing the BBW and walking lunges, I'm going to alternate Tonique lunge and squat segments. :)

I think on leg day, I'm going to do 2.1 or 2.2 with mat.

Oh my, I hope I can walk after a full week!

I might eventually try one or two weeks of Sylvia's suggested rotation, but add in Cathe's upper body.

Hi Cynthia.

I am loving Tonique. My rotation is set up as follows...

1) Tonique/Cardio
2) Tonique/Cardio
3) Upper Body/Cardio
4) Tonique/Cardio
5) Tonique/Cardio

with 2 rest days inserted as needed and a little bit of ab work every day that I work out. I am really enjoying it! I am now starting to toss some BBL back into it as well to mix it up though. Just did that on Friday and really felt the change! Did the Tonique 10 min upper body segment on Friday as well and had SORE shoulders all weekend!;)

What a great idea!
So you alternated leg/upper body days? How many leg days did you do?

It was a little odd, actually.... a compressed STS schedule. I did it like this:

Day 1: STS chest/shoulders/biceps
Day 2: STS back/tri
Day 3: stretch
Day 4: standing tonique (either 1 or one of the 2s)
Day 5: STS chest/shoulders/biceps
Day 6: stretch
Day 7: STS back/tri
Day 8: standing tonique
Day 9: stretch
Day 10: STS chest/shoulders/biceps
Day 11: standing tonique
Day 12: stretch

etc. I LOVED the flow of this routine.... really liked having that stretch day in there where I used either yoga or essentrics, something like that. I never felt completely wiped out and it just flowed really well for me.
