Today I was brave :-)

MIC has always terrified me. Maybe because I tried it when I first got it and was so winded that I had to sit down long before the Step section. The second time I tried it, I remembered there was that entire step section to go through and I was just at the intermediate floor section. LOL Forget those Challenges at the end, I thought.
So..I put that little video on the shelf and it has been there for way over a year.

Today, I dusted it off and told it...'it's just you and me babe.' :D
I was surprised that after 12 weeks of doing the Intensity Series, how much endurance I had. I was still raring to go even after the Challenges at the end.

Thank you Boot Camp and those Terminator workouts!! and most of all Thank you Cathe. Yippee!!!
It wasn't so scarey after all.

I can get through it too, but I am exhausted at the end!! It's still the hardest one for me. I did IMAX Xtreme Sunday and thought it was so much easier, I think only because there are recovery periods.

I think you are absolutely correct about the intensity series really helping the cardio endurance! I noticed that when I did Power Circuit on an 8" board, I cruised right through without getting really winded! This has not been the case in the past and I can only attribute it to the last 8 weeks of doing the intensity series! Its funny because I was wondering if I had lost some cardio capacity, especially because until yesterday I've been doing IMAX2 on a 6" board. I think I may have to get MIC out again and see how it goes. That one has really worn me out in the past.

Hi Wanda,

I had a similar experience. I hadn't done MIC (at least not the entire video) since December. Yesterday, I pulled it out and was amazed that it seemed easier than ever! (or show I say less hard?) I used to do the step section first because the hi-lo got me very winded also. But I have the VHS tape and didn't feel like fast forwarding to that section first so I just started from the beginning. I made it all the way through in one piece! The Intensity Series has really helped! Yay!

Hi guys ;o)

I know what you mean, I too have had MIC for over a year. I viewed it just the other day, and was shaking in my shoes. OMG, this woman never seems to amaze me. I was thinking about trying this one soon. Good luck.

Well I just had to see for myself so I dusted off MIC this morning and let 'er rip. I'm guessing it has been 9 months since I've done it.

Guess what? I got through the whole thing and used an 8" step for the entire step portion including the interval challenge. Now I won't pretend that it was easy, but I certainly got through it and lived to tell the tale! Did I do better than before? Yes definitley. And I think many things in the intensity series contributed - the intervals in IMAX2, strengthening the legs, and most certainly strengthening the core muscles.

Isn't it great to see this much accomplishment? Some of us were worried about the IS workouts not having enough cardio. Seems like we didn't have to worry after all. :D The gains we made by all those circuits and intervals has kept up our endurance and then some!
I wonder what Cathe will shock us with next? }( LOL

Okay, you've inspired me. MIC pops up on my calendar next Wednesday, and I'm gonna give it my best shot. I have only ever watched this video while sitting on the couch, after which I, too, put it up on the shelf. It scares the s**t out of me! But I think I'm gonna just dive right in a give it a try, after, of course, previewing it again while sitting on the couch. (It's been a while!)
