Timesaver premixes on GS

Hi everyone,

I have another "Timesaver premix" question, this time on the GS series...

I read some awesome reviews on the GS series in a post below, and now I'm really tempted to get them. However, as I mentioned before, I don't have a ton of time to work out in the morning, so I love the idea of Timesaver premixes to Cathe's workouts. Could someone please give me an idea of what's been trimmed from the GS workouts to get the Timesaver premixes? I noticed that the workouts are pretty much cut in half for the Timesavers, so I just wanted to know if they're still effective even in their condensed versions, or if they're significantly different from the original versions and I should just stick to the full versions (and try to squeeze them into my current workout schedule!).

Just to give a sense of my goals, I am looking to increase strength and definition. I've been strength training (starting with Cathe, then venturing into the Firm, and now Tracie Long's TLT DVD's) for about 8 years now, but I would say my strength gains have been more moderate (certainly compared to many of you here! Wow, I am soo in awe of what y'all have been able to achieve!!) than extraordinary, so I'd like to take my training to the next level and I know from experience that Cathe's workouts are the ones to do just that.

Thanks,
Jennifer

PS I looked at the workout descriptions on Cathe's page and noticed there wasn't abwork on any of the GS DVD's - is that really the case?

No, there's no ab work on the GS series workouts. Someone mentioned that she put out CoreMax at the same time, so that could be why.

The GS series is a good, hardcore weight series. The timesavers are very well done, and in my opinion, do not really take from the original workout. In the full versions there are usually 3 sets of an exercise. In the time saver 2. There are a few cut out, but especially if your not an avid weight lifter, those really do not make a big difference. I would, however, probably do the legs over two days. Do the standing work one day, and the floorwork another. Both have major benefits.
