Happy Thursday, Melty Maidens!
Oh, I just checked yesterday's posts, and I had posted something when I got home from lunch yesterday afternoon, but it looks like it never actually got posted! UG! So I DID check in with you lovely ladies, but my post got lost in that vast cyberspace land! I did have a really nice time at lunch, and ended up ordering eggs, which were sort of healthy. I also got a ton of errands run yesterday.
Today I'm starting the last week of my variation of Strong Like a Bull, so I have PLB + abs on the agenda for this morning, and then later this afternoon we're meeting my SIL and niece to go boogie boarding.
I got a lousy night's sleep last night; DH (a total night owl) has been coming to bed at 3:00 in the morning, so I've been waking up at 3:00 and then I can't get back to sleep. I keep telling him that I'm going to lock the door, so he'll have to sleep downstairs on the couch. ;-)
Peggie -- Sorry about the hotel for the RT. :-( We'll definitely hang out all weekend long, though!
What time are you getting in to NJ? I'm flying in on Thursday night so I can make the Friday morning step class, and should arrive at the airport around 5:15. If you're planning on going to the step class, then we'll all have to meet up so we can head over there together and hang out! Good for you on those two workouts yesterday! Your lunch yesterday sounded so good . . . but I've never heard of catfish tacos before!
Lainie -- In what I posted yesterday, I said that your patio looks wonderful! Mike and I also checked out those baby Jesus paintings, which were hysterical! They look like little muscle men. Your blog looks so awesome!
Shannon -- So any decision on what you're going to do about a new car? Are you enjoying those yummy blueberries? Frozen blueberries are also delicious in that Greek yogurt; mix them in and let them sit for a bit, and then add some honey or agave.
Kristi -- I am SOOO glad that things are going better! I posted something to you yesterday, but it got lost. I hope you can relax and enjoy some fun time with the family this weekend! {{{HUGS}}}!
Robin -- Glad that yesterday ended up going a bit better for you. Sometime a little meltdown can be really good to have. Glad you have a fun weekend planned -- and I hope you enjoy going out tonight with the folks from work! Wings and beer are both nice treats! ;-)
Allie -- Oh, your poor little tush is going to be sore today . . . but at least it'll be sore in some nice AC, right? Hooray for getting your paper done! The next 1 1/2 years really will go by quickly for you. I also kept meaning to tell you that it really is a great idea to be in college at your age since you now know what path you want to pursue. So many of my students come to college right after high school, and they wander around a bit, without any direction. These next three semesters will fly by for you! How has The Boy been? (Had to ask. ;-) )
Shelley -- So does the new copier also do laundry? ;-) If so, I may need to get me one. How are you doing, babe?
Deb -- I'm so glad that little Keegan is doing better today! I was worried about that little guy. How funny about how they both have very different reactions to going to the vet! Yes, I thought that the KB workouts would be a fun way to pass time before STS came out. I bought the Go Fit KB at Target, but ended up buying a different DVD to get started (called The KB Way). I think that Lainie and Tneah both have the DVD's from Target, so they might be good to ask about those; the DVD's from Target are a lot cheaper, so it might be a good way to start out. Let me know if you want more info about The KB Way.
Oh, let me know what you find out about those Old Navy tanks! I've been meaning to get to Old Navy, but haven't had a chance to.
Tneah -- So how was your day with the Frenchies? I had posted something yesterday (in my post that disappeared into cyberspace! ug!) about how I'm a total francophile. I studied French throughout college and grad school, and lived in France for a year after college. We used to get teased by my family since our house is decorated in a French country scheme. There is something so chic about French women, and yet, like you said, they are also so "different"! Sorry that you were up so early! How cool that you tried your KB workout! Did it ding up the ceiling badly? Oops! The two KB DVD's that I'm loving right now are Art of Strength Newport (
http://www.artofstrength.com/dvdworkout/tabid/182/Default.aspx), which I actually bought on Amazon, and the Extreme Cardio KB Workout (
http://www.dragondoor.com/dv052.html). Maybe use the one you have one or two more times, and then think about getting one of the other ones. Oh, and I had looked at the class schedule for the KB place yesterday, and it looks like you have to take two classes as a beginner. Should we maybe just meet for lunch instead?? I was thinking that it might be better so we're not sweaty messes! Would Wed. or Thurs. work for you? I can't wait to finally meet!
BG -- No, no eagle has landed yet. :-( I'll let you know, of course, as soon as it does! All your talk of dreamy Coach Sean makes me thing I really have to try CC out. Ah, if you do decide to do Tneah's program with Mr. Trainer, we'll totally be your cheerleaders! Are you on the van again today? If so, hope it's cooler today!
