This Sucks!!!

I cut the inside of my (second) toe on a piece of glass...7 stitches and a tetenus shot! Not allowed to run for 2-3 days!x( :eek:

I have spent the ENTIRE day thanking God that my foot found that piece of glass before one of my kids did! I can't stop being so grateful!
 
oh Sarah! that is terrible! i am so sorry. foot injuries are right up there with mouth ones. they make you hurt all over! i hope you heal quickly.

That DOES suck!! Good job looking at the silver lining.

Just think what that rest will do for your time...

Oh Sarah. That does suck but you are right...atleast it wasn't one of your kids! Cheer up...2-3 isn't THAT bad, right? :)
 
Sarah, what a wonderful way to look at an injury that has me cringing...please take it easy and let yourself mend. My feet are hurting for you...but I'm glad your kids didn't get this glass in their little feet!
 
Sarah I'm so sorry. I know it'll kill you not to run for 2 or 3 days. I'm glad that children didn't find it first also. Hope you heal up fast!

Oh Sarah - I am so sorry. I know how you feel - when I recently spained my ankle and the doc said no working out for 3 weeks - I thought it was a death sentence! Here's thoughts for quick mending and keeping that good outlook. :)

I get so annoyed when stuff like that happens to me, especially when it interferes with my workouts. You are lucky though that the kids did not step on it first, but still it does still suck!

Sorry to hear about you foot. I hope it gets better soon! And yes it is thankful that your kids didn't step on the glass.

UGH!! I'm sorry, Sarah! I would have been glad it was me instead of one of my kids, too! At least it's only a couple days. My girlfriend's husband broke his LEG playing basketball last Sunday and needed surgery to put it back together with pins and plates. He's out of commission for months! YIKES!

I hope your foot heals quickly!

I am so sorry to hear about your foot! As you said, thank goodness your children didn't step on it as well. Heal fast and take your recovery days.

I know it is just a few days (hopefully no more...stitches are in for 10 days) AND it's just a toe. My DH has been so sweet tending to me. I had to tell him last night "It's just a toe, Hon...not heart surgery, I'm just fine". I'm lucky to have him!

STILL can't shake the feeling that if the kids got to it first it would have been a horrible situation...drastically worse! Since that feeling lingers, I have been just thrilled to be sewn up! So much that I have very litle concern for not being able to run. Also, I know the (forced) rest will do beautiful things for my time!

Oh Sarah...OUCH is right!! I'm so sorry to hear about your foot!! I'm so glad that your children were not hurt, but I'm just as sorry that you were!! Please take it easy...:)
