Think I overdid it...be careful

Think I overdid it the other day and have strained my back:(.
I was so excited to start Meso 2 again, feeling great and did the first workout: chest/shoulders/triceps..no problem.

Then I came home from work and thought I'd do 40/20 Hiit before going out for dinner (work off the margaritas I was planning to enjoy!) Well, I did get through it, but I think the butt kicks ended up hurting my back (since I still can't do as many and definitely not as fast as Cathe and crew)..
I know I try to work within my ability, but also challenge myself cuz that's the fun of it.

Now, I also want to prequalify this that I'm sure my other outdoor "gardening" activities, started the problem so I'm not blaming Cathe's workouts. I just want all you girls/guys out there to be careful about over-doing it, especially with gardening/raking/etc. We forget there's even more muscles we aren't used to working every day! And I work out 6 days/week too!

Anyway, I had to go to the chiropractor and my back is hurting less each day finally. Haven't worked out in almost a week and that really sucks! Listening to your body is good for the body, but not the soul :eek:

Hope you all workout and stay safe! Next time, I'll just drink the margaritas and work out the next day!:rolleyes:

Sorry you hurt your back! Ouch! It does suck when you can't workout! I ended up with the flu last November and was laid up for a week! Hated every minute of it! Glad you're getting better!

I really just wanted to comment on your epiphany of drinking first, THEN working out! That's what I do! LOL! I have my drink(s) and run the next morning! Works every time! No hangover, no injury, no weight gain!

Take care of yourself and do it right next time! ; )
 
Just wanted to say I have been a good girl and rested my back for a week. Hated it, but had to do it.:confused:
Yesterday went back to STS 14 for Legs and boy, I have DOMS today for sure!
Looking forward to easing my way back in!!
