Things I will never wear.

OK things are kind of heavy around here these days. Let's lighten up a little.

I'm shopping some online sales & am coming across clothes I never would have dreamed of:

--sleeveless winter coats (I think I already mentioned..........)
--toeless boots (who's the advertising genius who came up w/these? Whoever it was should be institutionalized)
--overalls (unless I intend to paint a house. Otherwise if I want to look shapeless I'll spend much less money on a burlap sack)
--leggings (I think I had a body that would look good in leggings ummmmm..........15 years ago?)
--sneakers without laces (OK, if I want to wear sneaks w/no laces, can you at least let me remove them MYSELF? http://www.shopbop.com/limited-edit...htm?folderID=2534374302025763&fm=sale-viewall)

Am I missing anything?

LOL!

I've never heard of toeless boots! OMG,that's bizarre.

I can't think of anything on my will not wear list.

But can I tell you what I love this season?

I love the boyfriend jeans rolled up with heels!
I know someone posted they didn't like them,
but I think the look is really cute.:)

Pregnancy clothes. YUCK! BLEH!

Sorry, I just don't need to look anymore like a bell than I already do!

(bella bands are a great alternative to pregnancy clothing!)

:) :) :) :) :)

Nursing and maternity clothes!

Start up the bonfire, because those are way, way in my past!

Love the cute jeans, but I don't think I have the body for that look!

I also don't understand winter coats with 3/4 sleeves ... don't your wrists get cold? I guess you're supposed to wear long gloves ... or else buy a coat with complete sleeves.

Maybe designers are trying to cut costs (less material!) and pass it off as fashion. That would explain the toe-less, sleeve-less, fabric-less looks. :D

To me leggings are cute on ages 12 and younger...past that I just don't like the whole look, especially animal prints or my personal favorite, geometric shapes.
I will NEVER wear tapered jeans or "skinny jeans" as they are now called...
I can't do backless of extreme low cut tops...I have had three children and nursed everyone of them, the "girls" just aren't what they used to be, they need SUPPORT at all times!!

You should check out IsabellaOliver.com. I ran across one of their catalogs at work and it was the only time I ever wished I was pregnant. Their maternity clothes are smokin' hot! Sexy sexy mommy.

Butt Floss!! I would be picking my seat all day long.
Thong underwear are just plain NASTY. On top of that, I read in a man advice book (The MANual by Steve Santagati, whose really hot) that men like seeing panty lines because it makes them wonder what a woman's panty's look like without their clothes! I'm still single and I despise thong underwear so his remark was all it took to make me relax about panty lines. I sometimes think the fashion industry and what men want from a woman are really at odds. Like I said, I'm still single (and not happy about it) so these things matter :p.

Okay, here's the fashion item I think is just plain dumb: BALLOON SKIRTS. Yet another dopey item that helps to keep me from EVER being a fashion slave. I think the fashion industry is trying to make us unattractive.

Thongs are only good if you get the Hanky Panky brand, I swear it! Try them and you will be hooked.;)

Cynthia, I adore that look! Just adore it. I don't have scrawny legs like that but I think you could still look hot in that look. I ordered some PRPS jeans and intend on wearing them like that! Cute with flip flops even don't ya think?

I hate leggings and long Grandpa cardigans, they totally cover up your shape, I am more hourglass, so the waist has to be shown.

I'm a thong-wearer cuz I HATE pantylines on myself... but it's a matter of choice. Now, if would get me a MAN, I might just rethink the granny panties :D

Balloon skirts - WHAT ARE THEY THINKING?
Skinny Jeans - I wear 'em and love em.
The sneaker boot - EWWWW!

I hate lepoard ANYTHING actually - although I work with a woman approaching 60 who has more class and style in her pinky finger than I will ever have in my whole body - an she has a beautiful, classy leopard top that looks wonderful on her - and some cute leopard shoes (but she doesn't coordinate and wear them TOGETHER!

I think most of the current fashions are horrible so my list is pretty long! But just a few that come to mind:

- Shirts hanging out under sweaters or jackets - who started that! It looks like you ran out the door without finishing getting dressed.

- Shoes with 3-4 inch heels - a surgeon's best or worst dream depending on how much money he/she will get from surgery to fix messed up backs and achilles tendons

- "swing" jackets and sweaters - why would anyone want to look pregnant when they aren't?

- low cut sweaters and blouses - they seem to be everywhere, but I can't stand them!

- low cut pants - unless you are 15 years old - or built that way - they look pretty silly, plus you always have to retuck your blouse (assuming you tucked it in to begin with, see above)

- animal prints - ick

- leggings - didn't do them in the 80s, not doing them now

- skirts or jackets with fringe on them - for the blanket/tablecloth look, I guess

I'm sure I will think of others, but these are top of my list!

Agree on the butt floss! OMG! I really tried, but I couldn't walk around all day wanting to pick my butt every 30 seconds. And skinny jeans--well, the last thing I need is something that makes my butt look even bigger.

Cynthia, I like that look. Most people can really carry it off.

And I like animal prints. Well, specifically, leopard print. Esp. in shoes & tops. Not too fond of zebras or giraffes though. :p

Oh, & I must confess to owning 2 balloon skirts. They're cargos & they're very comfy. :)

Carolyn, I could never wear shoes w/those heels. They look purdy, but my dogs would be howling!

OK I came up w/a few more:

--anything w/the word "hot" in the description (pants, shorts, etc.)
--shirts/sweaters w/puffy sleeves. I think that went out of style in the 14th century.

I'm a hanky panky fan! I have so many of those thongs in various colors and color combinations I could start my own store! I love it when Nordstrom puts them on sale for half price.

I will NOT wear those blousey, puffy tops that have the empire waist and then get bigger as they hang down. It looks like maternity wear to me. As someone else said, why would you want to look pregnant when you're not? In fact, I never wore anything like that even when I was pregnant.

I also don't like "flat" boots. For some reason, that offends my sense of balance with an outfit. When I see the long, lean look of a boot, I think it should end in a heel of some sort. That's just my own personal peeve though.

I'm also in agreement about the sneaker boot. What's that about?

And the balloon skirt.... for the same reason as the empire, blousey top. Why add material that is going to make you look bigger than you are? Not happening here! :p
