Hi Everyone! OMG, I had a super class today and introduced some of the bar exercises that are in the bonus footage on the new Lower Body Blast workout. Their thighs were screamin'....Soon yours will be too....hee hee hee hee heeeeeeeeeeeee

If you have any questions about Lower Body Blast post them here and I will be back in a couple of hours after an edit session!

We will be using the Turbo Tower as our bar. You can adjust the height of the bar to accommodate the exercise. This bonus footage will be standing work and you will do leg lifts to back, side, up and over. Then you will do plie position squats with ranges of depths that go from shallow to deeper. Of course beginners or anyone with knee issues will stay shallow. Then you will angle your hips in different directions to get different areas of the hips, glutes and thighs involved.

We also have a bouns section that involves the Firewalker bands.

This is a entire lower body workout which has a cardio feel to it to keep the fat blasting while the legs are shaping....or should I say SHAKING...hee hee hee hee heeeeee

Hi Cathe,

What type of bar are you using in the Lower Body Blast workout and what kind of workouts are they?

This sounds really good so far. I love Butts and Guts (including Leg Press Bonus!) and Leg Press Mania premix from Legs and Glutes (one of my most frequently used workouts)!

Will there be leg presses on Lower Body Blast?

A more general question: how would you compare this workout to some of your other lower-body workouts, like Leaner Legs, Legs and Glutes and Butts and Guts?

I'm still not clear on what is the benefit of this style of legwork compared to what is in STS? should certain body types use one style more than the other? Or just mix it up regardless?

Yes there are leg presses :)

It's different in that it opens with cardio to really get the muscles warm and body in fat burning mode. There are also brief cardio bursts after every three or four exercises just to keep the muscles firing and metobolism jolted.

It is similar to these workouts in that it uses good reliable classic exercises (mixed with some new exercises) and is sequenced in a way to STING. Its paced more like legs and glutes but the exercises are more like Leaner legs and Butts and Guts!

Just mix it up regardless! Whether your workout does something just a little differently or offers a whole new format or challenge, ANY and ALL change (big or small) is good and should be welcomed and implemented :D

I can't do this at this time since we are still editing. But I can tell you the workout opens with a warmup, cardio segment, lots of great standing leg/glute exercises along with a few cardio bursts, some great floor work that also uses the firewalker band and of course the bar work too. Then we'll stretch and say AHHHH :D

Is it possible to post a breakdown of the workout?

I didn't think I would be interested in another lower body workout but this sounds great. The added barre work really sold me. Plus I LOVE leg presses and have been missing them from my workouts so to have them along with some barre work is a big plus. I like that the cardio is mixed in also. Cathe I think you sold me on this one.
