The support of good friends.............

Don't feel guilty because now you are showing your kids that it's possible to take responsibility and make a big change.

My kids' dad was an alcoholic, and I spent the majority of their childhood mad because I hated my situation. I've since told them I felt bad about what the atmosphere was like at home, but they still speak to me.

We just really glad that you found us and we could be there for you! Hey, anytime - just call. You have my phone number now.

I can't wait to see those pictures!!!!

Just Do It! :)

You are such a sweetie pie.Don't give us all of the creit. We were not with you everyday. You saw what you wanted and you went after it.Maybe now your daughters will come to realize that they should follow in your footsteps this time to.
Love,
Lori

Hi Donna:I'm fairly new to this site but I just wanted to say you seem like a wonderful person. You should give yourself a big pat on the back. You are setting a good example for your daughters and they will appreciate it when they get on the fitness wagon too.~Linda~

Donna,
I am so touched by your lovely post.

It pains me to hear you put yourself down and be so hard on yourself, though. You were also a product of your upbringing, and there are REASONS why people become obese. You had your own issues to deal with, whether emotional, physical, or physiological and no one has the right to judge you, including YOU!! :) Look what a great example you are for your daughters now!

I love Connie's website and think you would be a great addition!

It is I who thank you for sharing your situation! I only hope others can learn from your experience :D

Live by the golden rule: treat others as yourself :)

Donna - you have been such a good influence on me. I have started to actually believe that I can lose this weight! Everytime I have a bad day or am feeling down I just think of what you've done and it helps me.

I really get a lot of support from this site and it is such a huge help to know others struggle with the same things that I do.

Thanks everyone for your support!

You really are something, Donna! :D

I feel like I know you.....you're so honest about yourself and you're hard working and such an encouragement to others! I think your kids will see how you have changed during your weight loss/fitness journey and will have picked up on a lot of that.

I am so glad I have come in contact with you and look forward to putting a face to the name.

Donna, your post brought tears to my eyes. You are a very strong person and I admire you immensely. This forum IS wonderful for support, but don't forget it is still YOU that made the decision to change your life and continue to do so.

Your daughters can't help but see the changes in you and see your new way of life. When they're ready, they will follow in your healthy footsteps and you'll be there to encourage them.

I can't wait to see your before and after pics, too. Thanks so much for sharing your journey with us :)!

Sandi

Donna,
Your posts are always so sincere. Your hard work is paying off and the will to work so hard came from inside of you, nobody else. I too find great support and encouragement from this forum. It is just the edge we need sometimes.

I have shared your story with many people, particularly one very overweight friend hoping that you would inspire her to take charge of her sitaution. So, you see, it comes from inside the person to make a major life change, like you have!

Take care always,
Linda

You know I don't think I've ever posted that I think your great Donna. And I think about you lots. Wish everyone knew your story.

I think you should change your screen name to Fit@39 when your bday rolls around. I don't care what you look like. When you can do IMax without mods (which I cannot) you are one FIT person.

Andrea

Or maybe SuperFit@39!

Donna, there's always some little silly thing to trip me up and throw me off track. It can be so discouraging! Then I think of you and I know that I just have to pick myself up and get on with it! You are very tough on yourself, but lighten up and realize you are utterly amazing! You cannot change the past but think of how you are going to conquer the future! The new you! And your daughter's are paying attention now and they'll follow suite when it suits them. You are an amazing role model and when I count my blessings, as I often do, I think of you and many of the others on this forum, who enrich my life. I have learned a lot but every day brings something new and there's never one where I can say, "I'm finished, I know everything!" Bless you, bless you! You are so wonderful, funny, humble, beautiful! A good friend in cyberspace!

Hi HB....................

My birthday is Dec. 15th

Funny how while growing up the years seemed to take forever to go by, but now they're spinning out of control! :)

Donna

Donna,
Please let me introduce myself to you, since I have been lurking and have been so absolutely amazed by you! I thought I was seeing a typo the first time I saw your numbers! You are one strong and determined woman! Though I have never met or even talked to you online, you have been my inspiration thru many a "I want to eat ALL the chocolate days." I thought you should know you have another fan in me. The fact that you just decided to do Cathe and simply gutted your way thru her tapes is awesome. This site is truly amazing;what a phenomenal bunch of women. Now when someone calls me an exercise nut, I don't feel so alone. It's good company to be in.
With most sincere appreciation for sharing your story,
Dawn
