The Official HATE Thread Right Here Right Here - Nov 1

Gals- thanks for such a nice welcome- August -I think you should do Step Blast cuz I think it's one of the workouts I got just a couple of weeks ago (that I havn't done yet-man I am behind-I'm so busy ordering new workouts- I don't have time to do them-I mean what does cathe expect?)LOL-deb (maybe if you do Step Blast I'll do Step Blast and we can compare)

LOL. I know, I've got so many new workouts that I haven't yet used, I forget I even have them!

It's a deal. I'll do my Step Blast tomorrow. And if I suffer, you'll be hearing about it. ;) And I'll look forward to hearing what you thought about it, too.

Diane - Weird! I just posted this message and the part I wrote to you disappeared!! WTF?! Anyway, I was saying great for you for working out AND cleaning up! YEAH!!

August, I don't have Step Blast so I can't advise you on this one. I do know that hardcore cardio lovers LOVE it, though. I know--not much help.

Deb! Oh De-eb!! August has a question about cardio workouts--lol!

I'm inclined to say give SB a try. Ride into it with all that positive yoga/Christi energy.:p :7

ETA I think Deb already gave you her sound advice.:)

Diane, I think you'd be the perfect person to offer shoe advice on other threads;) :7

ETA again that I'm really leaving now--really.

ha..Hardcore cardio lovers lo..LOVE Step Blast? x( :-(

I will summon all my courage and strength and attempt it, by golly!

And on that note, I better go to sleep so I have some coordination tomorrow morning. :D

Night night!

So glad you're joining us, Deb! :) :) :)

Hey August - I have tried Step Blast (Fit tv version) and parts of it are not too tricky at first if you have done Cathe's other workouts. Other parts are just downright confusing, but it might have been because part of the instruction was left out when it was clipped to fit to 1 hr with commercials. I thought it was hard, but not impossible to figure out, and I am a clutz. And it will become more fun as you know the moves. You are thinking more about getting the moves right instead of how much cardio you are doing! I have found that when the steps are too easy, I get bored.

I got an email from Dana this morning:) . Here it is for your enjoyment:

Hey. I wanted to post this on CARDIO~HATERS~VILLE this morning BUT our phone was off the hook upstairs (some fax machine kept calling us) and I didn't want to go upstairs and possible wake anyone up, so I wasn't able to log on to Cathe this morning.

Anyway, you did order the new DVD's, correct??? Last night I did the cardio premix from DrillMax, it is 39 minutes. Michele, you will **gasp** love it. I can guarantee it. Now I don't know about the entire DVD or the other premixes, but the 39 min cardio premix is FUN!!! You start out with a long warm up and then there are 6 cardio drills which are about 5 minutes each. They are tough intensity wise but the choreography is basic and very easy to follow. Followed by the stretch. I actually could do the entire premix with no problems. I did pause the DVD between the drills and walked around to lower my heart rate a bit. But other then that, I didn't have to modify at all which surprised me since I haven't worked out with Cathe since the summer. My DVD was freezing up though :(((

Tell everyone I said hi and will try to post tomorrow. Gabe has religious ed classes tonight so I won't be home to get on the computer.

Have a great day!

~Dana

RE: The Official HATE Thread Right Here Right Here - No...

Diane - Thanks for the encouragement to do Step Blast. I know what you mean - when you're concentrating on how the heck to do the moves, you're NOT thinking about how much you hate cardio LOL. Now if I could just fall asleep so that I'll have the concentration skills needed to do it.

Michele - Thanks for posting Dana's email!

Dana - Hi! That's great that you're enjoying the new workout, woo hoo! Sucks about the freezing thing. I guess you'll be able to get it replaced if needed. Anyway, we look forward to seeing you tomorrow!

Briee - Pffffft! LMAO.

This is totally fun going back and forth. Feels so...so dirty. :*

RE: The Official HATE Thread Right Here Right Here - No...

Is there a yoga check in on Cathe's site? Maybe we should start one??

August - Chakra is the name of the seller on Amazon when you click "buy used and new" to get a discounted rate. The only thing is that you have to pay for shipping on each item separate, and if you're ordering a lot of stuff, it's best to figure it out on a calculator and see if it's worth it. I still saved $20 doing it this way, so it was worth it to me. I was iniitally charged $18 in shipping and I emailed and asked to discount me since I ordered all of my items from the same person under the new & Used (but I bought new from Chakra44 - and it's actually considered Amazon Marketplace). Here's an interesting tidbit. All but 2 of my DVDs are here now and the envelope from Chakra44 reads "Ravi and Ana from NYC"....so it is essentially them just selling at discounted rates on AMazon!! I thought that was interesting!

Like I said -re Kundalini -- it's sort of hoaky at first. The sayings and i usually skip the chanting and mudras - or just do parts of them, but that's fine cuz it makes them shorter. I really do like the grinding warm up (which is great for constipation and digestion) and the breath of fire makes me feel so good. I tend to breathe backwards and hold my breath from stress....and that relieves all of that.

Let me know what you get and what you think. I loved Dancin the Chakras. I may do a bit of Yoga Cleanse or Fat Free Yoga - Lose Weight later.

By the way - I'm just curious....please don't take offense. Are you Japanese? or just an American living in Japan?? It's interesting to talk to someone from over there. I love hearing about other cultures.

RE: The Official HATE Thread Right Here Right Here - No...

August - forgot to say - Seasun Zeiger's Straight Up Step is my all time favorite cheer up ...happy aerobics! I'm addicted to it. It took me a few months to learn....but was well worth it. I practiced my harder coreography (I'm a bit challenged) on Saturday mornings (supposedly my rest day) and then I can do it as a workout once I learn it. This is a super fun routine. I love Seasun. I try to do this once a week for happy purposes. I also like Step Blast.

RE: The Official HATE Thread Right Here Right Here - No...

Soosan - Thanks so much for the link. That was one I hadn't come across (weird, I searched thread titles with Yoga and I missed that one). Haha, there's a poster called Autumn. Man, I keep deciding that Bryan Kest' voice/constant talking is going to drive me nuts, but then I'll read how much everyone loves him. I should just get it. Yeah. If I don't, I'll always be wondering.

O-M-G-, the police photo of the squirrel. LMAO.

Lora - Thank you for telling me about Chakra44. That's wild that it's Ravi and Ana! I'm guessing doing international shipping for each one individually might not be such a good idea LOL. Hmm. But I wonder what could happen if I were to write to them and explain that I wanted to buy ALL 12 of them...You should see my yoga list. I'm almost embarrassed to post it.

I'm actually an American living in Japan - I'm half Japanese, and am from Oregon. You'd think I'd have more hippy in me. Or maybe...I just don't realize it?! (gulp) LOL.

Oh, I've heard about Seasun but haven't checked her out. I'm a huge Christi Taylor fan. I'm going to check out this Straight Up Step one. Thanks!

RE: The Official HATE Thread Right Here Right Here - No...

Step Blast is too hard to follow! coming in this late is not good for me but I have been so busy with kid stuff. Plus I really tired today. Okay, I am going to try earlier tomorrow. Yes, I am. My workouts are due Friday!

RE: The Official HATE Thread Right Here Right Here - No...
