RE: The

Day 3 and I am doing fine, much better than expected. I am also finding it easier as the days go by - I hope I am still feeling this way next week!

RE: The

I have been tempted over the last few days (chocolate cake with peanut butter icing yum) but every time I get tempted I think nope no sweets for this month. :)

RE: The

Today is a bit tough as I'm working from home. No, there's no sugar in the house; however, I do want something sweet right now. I guess I can always eat some nice fresh pineapple (or a nectarine) for a snack. Yeah, that's it. Fruit as a substitute to chocolate. :p

RE: The

I just finished GS shoulders and the 37 min. quick select premix "Cardio Conditioning" on KPC. Now my sugar cravings are gone. My workout has rejuvenated me and I've found my resolve. Besides in 4 hours, I'll be asleep. I can resist sugar for 4 hours!

Hang in there everybody!!

RE: The

Well made it through day 3 without and sweets, junk food,or sodas. I always would drink diet drinks and I have cut those out for this month. I end my day with a big juicy slice of watermelon.

RE: The

CRASH... ! that was me falling off the wagon today ( bowl of ice cream), and I was doing so well since Sunday! I had actually started doing this and jumped in with you guys on June 1 feeling pretty good about my progress... ugh. as I get back up to start over,,

RE: The

Nadine- thanks for giving me images of Green Acres!

Fox2star- you should be commended for picking yourself right back up instead of seeing a little slip as a failure. Good for you!

It's 9:39 pm now and I've been good in deeds though not in thoughts! I love my new job but detest the omnipresent sugary junk.

Bring on Day 4! We're ready, aren't we? Aren't we??

RE: The

I'm glad to read that some of you are doing okay on day three. Today it was tough. I have never dealt with addiction in my own life, but I'm starting to think I am addicted to sugar. I've been trying to keep my intake to 50g or less a day and on day 3 I've been keeping my promise, but it is so hard to do! Especially when my family loves sugar and they don't gain weight by consuming it (my SO can eat cake with frosting, ice cream and chocolate milk and I swear he loses weight!). Anyway, I saw grape juice in the fridge and I took a measuring cup, poured 2oz of it and drank it. Then later I had 2 more ounces. Later, I took a piece of candy from the candy bowl and I looked at it and then put it down. This is so pathetic! So yeah it was hard for me, but I'm hanging in there.

RE: The

Wow, we are so awesome. Our resolve is so strong.

I managed to stay away from the evil donuts all day today. Then I took the kids to Tasty Freeze - even let my daughter DRIVE - and I didn't have a thing, even when the kids offered me some!!! After the stress of daughter driving and gazing fondly at ice cream sundaes that I couldn't eat, I went home and did a SJP pre-mix. And now I feel much better!

Bring on DAY 4!!!!

RE: The

Angie, you're an animal! No soft serve at all? I had a good day too but I would have caved in the face of a soft serve ice cream cone. And the SJP desert, you are an amazing woman, you know that? I may dedicate day 4 to you and skip the cakdeand frosting tomorrow at Sam's party. When they serve the cake I'm sneaking to the DQ for soft serve, my favorite. I wish I could drool all over the screen to let you know how I feel about it. Bet you are glad I can't. Day 4, for Angie. No cake, no frosting.

RE: The

Oh, Bobbi, I would hate to see you deprived of cake and frosting on my account! I have already planned a cheat day on my daughter's birthday party (June 18) when I will eat birthday cake AND ice cream BOTH - so I'm not that much of an animal!!! There's no way I'll be able to resist cake and ice cream when I actually have to SERVE it!!!

DQ is awesome, too - I love mudslide and oreo blizzards......:9
