The Common Thread thread

So glad you went with the upbeat version Laura:D

1 Cereal is the best comfort food.
2 Too much ice cream makes your stomach hurt. A good reason not to eat it.:p
3 When the DH does the dishes, I like it!
4 The first time you get through an impossible Cathe workout...the best!

This is a great thread:D

1) There's nothing like having a husband that can make you laugh until you fall down
2) We are in control of our own destiny (no one else, regardless of what they think)
3) Puppies rule.

Sparrow13:

"If there's nothing wrong with ME, there's must be something wrong with the UNIVERSE."

I love that philosophy and apply it as often as I can.
:D

That's a great philosophy and I need to borrow it :D

1) Dark choc Wilbur Buds are worth the 20 minute drive to the 'Bud' factory to get them, as are their cousins, dark choc dipped ritz crackers with peanut butter .

2) Cathe WILL get you in shape...if you'll let her! ;)

3) Cathe's 'crowd' are indeed quite educated and offer great advise and tips....on most any subject.

4) Wall squats were invented by a sadist. :p

Can you believe it took me this long to think of one that hasn't been posted yet? LOL

When you're sick, nothing feels better than a blanket coming straight out of the dryer and on top of YOU! (I just shared this one with DS the other day, just because he said he was cold and he thought I was just THE BEST MOM ever!)

In the dead of winter, we like to throw our winter coats in the dryer for a few minutes before we head outside to play.

OK I am about to showcase my COLOSSAL nerditude here but there's a great episode of Star Trek: the Next Generation where one of the characters thinks she is slowly going insane, and then there is this perfect moment when she realizes that it's not her that is insane, and she says "If there's nothing wrong with ME, there's must be something wrong with the UNIVERSE."

I love that philosophy and apply it as often as I can. :D

/end nerd-post

The funny (sad?) thing is that I know EXACTLY what episode this is!!

Geeks and nerds rule!!

My son loves it when I warm up his jeans in the dryer right before he gets dressed in the morning!

This thread is such a GREAT, WONDERFUL thing - this thread! Thank you for starting it. Ummmmm ~ a few more:

1) In some ways (maybe MANY), children are the wisest people on the planet. My son has taught me more than any sage ever could.

2) I've never had a workout that didn't help (at least in some way) me feel 'better' -- particularily on an emotional level ...

so it follows that:

3) Workouts aren't just something I do for myself. I do them for the people I love, as I seem to be able to offer them more from my 'better' self when I'm taking care of myself.

4) Cathe has added a lot of joy (and pain - the good kind) to my life ... as well as this forum and her followers, btw. You guys are generally part of my daily routine. I visit you when I need a break or a laugh or some inspiration and can always find these things (plus many sound ideas concerning creativity with chocolate) if I just look a little bit.

Thanks ~ Lori
